HOWEVER, my precious husband misread our total, so it appeared that we shorted her on our tip. So as a table full of former wait staffers, it offended the hell out of me that the manager thought for one minute that we would do that!!!! But instead of advocating for her server, the manager, did nothing!!! Sending that precious girl to our table to wonder what she had done!!!! Shitty management!!!! Kaylie deserved every single dollar we left her, but a server manager should ALWAYS AND I MEAN ALWAYS advocate for her staff. Shame on her. The waitstaff was very patient and attentive since we had a young child with us which was very appreciative! I ordered the dragon roll which was so good! My friend got the Philly and Carolina roll! My other friends got wings, a dessert and a different sushi roll! All good reviews! We had a great time dining in and the restaurant is a cool vibe in itself with the flower ceiling and the sushi bar set up! One thing though was a homeless person that came around and bothered us twice about food which is fine we do not mind getting someone something to eat but when we ran to the gas station and came back to get her some food she was gone! A must try place! Coco our server was fantastic. I have a gluten and soy allergy and she doubled checked everything for me. The food was delicious! I had the vegan burger minus the umami substituted an Avocado and cucumber roll for the fries. There was even a desert, Ube cheesecake! The place had a great atmosphere, we were there mid week and there were quite a few others there, but no wait. The ambiance when you walk in is a comfortable lively place! Emily was our server and she was incredible. So sweet, personable, and genuinely interested in talking with our table. We randomly chose this place to celebrate my birthday after a really bad experience at a different restaurant the previous day. How refreshing. The sushi was so fresh. The spoons was our favorite. Sushi was Meh. Won't be going back there if I'm back in town for business. The Sushi was served at room temperature and the presentation was like someone from the 5th grade prepared the plate. Everything I've had here is amazing. The bento box really gives you a good sampling if you want to try a burger and sushi. Hawaiian burger is super delicious, but beware that the burgers are 1/2 lb, so they are big! Last weekend, I decided to try the Cuban... and OMG by far the best I've had (I'm very picky). It was unique in that it was round, but the bread was very thin with plenty of meat, which was so tender, and the flavor was outstanding. I will take a picture next time! read more

We enjoyed a great meal at a new to Morganton restaurant. Our waitstaff, Casper, was very personable and honest about the wait time. I appreciate her stating it was a soft opening and the food might take some time. The total time spent waiting for a table, our meals, and Gabe's to-go order was only about an hour and a half. I would say for a soft opening, the staff did an excellent job! The food was another treat with a tasty burger cooked perfectly at my requested temperature and yummy sweet potato fries. Jeremy and Gabe enjoyed the bento boxes. Both were happy about a really good sushi place with an extensive menu. Jeremy Garrison and I enjoyed some free spring rolls and I can say they are some of the best we've had. They were not greasy, had a great crunch, and served with a chili sauce that was perfectly paired. Great experience, and we will add it to our date night rotation. read more

we were seated and then our waitress was never notified that our party had a table in her section. we had to flag down a person to bother to take our order. Weirdly, the one waitress in the section across from us could see us sitting there unattended for ages and said nothing to other staff. Our meal was terrible. the food wasn't that warm and the sushi was gamey. I'm not even sure how one manages that. The burger had NO flavor and fell apart. Half of my edamame shells were empty! My husband and I are athletes and rarely get to have a meal out and the one time we get to, our special meal is ruined. Home run ! Best rated spot in the area but you just never know, but wow do I know now. The drinks were perfect. Vibe at the bar is fun, thanks to Kenzie (sp). The Jalapeño Roulette was a simply amazing appetizer.
