My son wasn't down with the vibe from the moment we got in. He saw the slanty bowls, says "I don't…read moremean to be negative, but I hate it!" We ordered immediately when our waters came. The seared tuna was over seasoned. I did enjoy the salad. But after waiting for over an hour, I asked if I could get the shrimp and grits, as we had somewhere we needed to be. About that time, someone came out of the kitchen, tried to give me a cheeseburger. I let him know it wasn't for me. "It's for the band! This is where the band is supposed to sit." I had chosen that chair as it was the only one near the windows that didn't have sun directly in our eyes. I told him. There was no sign. None of the servers or hosts had said. "I wasn't notified." But my son and I went ahead and got up and went to stand by the bar to wait for our entree. I felt it had great potential, but it missed the mark for us.

Both have delicious food: The Bays has classics like burgers, and fun appetizers. The Cellar has a sophisticated of steaks and such. I cannot make my mind up which I like better! I like that I can choose between two restaurants! My favorite though, is the staff. I'm usually uncomfortable in public if it's noisy. The staff is so sweet and kind, I forget all about my challenges and relax! Folks! You've gotta go & go often!

Barleygarden - Fayetteville - $13 THE J ARTHUR BURGER: this was good, but messy! It fell apart easily so I ended up eating it with a fork & knife.

SERVICE (3/5): Downstairs service is great! the upstairs bar…read moreis not the best. They always seem overwhelmed and understaffed. The seating upstairs is all seat yourself. You order at the bar, they give you a number to put on your table and try to find you. When it's busy, the servers walk around multiple times and get so frustrated because they can't find the correct tables. And no one busses the tables because it's SO BUSY & not enough staff. FOOD (3/5): Out of all the places at Trilith Live, this is one of the better places to go, excluding ENZO (which is fine dining), this is a bar. The wings have been consistently good. I think their food is hit or miss. $12 KUNG PAO BRUSSELS SPROUTS: this was SO OILY! I could only eat a few bites before stopping. $17 CAESAR SALAD +ADD GRILLED CHICKEN: it's mixed with kale, which I loved! It was good. $13 THE J ARTHUR BURGER: this was good, but messy! It fell apart easily so I ended up eating it with a fork & knife. AMBIANCE (4/5): This is a great place to hangout and have drinks.

This is an update to my post from several years ago. I had…read morea good laugh looking back at my commentary. So here's my new experience up at the rooftop bar. We came here with friends prior to a movie over at the new Trilith Cinema. It was a beautiful day with cool weather and a breeze, and the rooftop was open and it was a complete delight. They have an odd way of doing their service on the rooftop, in that everything is ordered from the bar, then delivered. They give you a number and then they bring it to you. Why don't you get the hang of it? It's not a problem and it probably makes sense when it's much busier, as I'm sure it is later in the night. They do have a wine list but it's not published on any QR code or menu, which actually doesn't matter when you got to go to the bar to order it. Anyway you just ask. They have different beers at the rooftop than down on the main floor, A few common faves but all of the Craft beers are unique to the rooftop. They also have a limited selection of the menu, mostly burgers, couple salads and some appetizers. Took a lot of pictures... Some feedback. The burgers looked awesome. I loved my falafel Burger. The deal that they got with a beer included with Burger and a side for $18 was a winner. The brussel sprouts are straight up, roasted and lightly seasoned. In both counts, the garden salad is too doused with the oil so the lettuce is limp. Drinks are made appropriately. And we will likely be back.

Not a lot of wine spots in this area, but it did not disappoint!…read more AMBIANCE (3/5): It's an old house, turned into a wine bar/dessert place. I'd say it's not great for big groups, but the owner VIRGIL made it happen with our group of 12! We had trouble finding a spot that could keep us altogether, but he allowed us to sit in the wine cellar which was an awesome experience! SERVICE (5/5): The owners VIRGIL & CAROLINE are an amazing duo. Virgil's knowledge of wine and Caroline's pastry skills make for a deadly combination. Virgil also gives a tour of the house and history lesson which makes everything feel so personal. Hard not to love the place when they are so friendly. FOOD (4/5): They only serve light bites, desserts & drinks. Hands down the BEST CRACKERS I've ever eaten in my life. $8 CRACKERS (large size): trust me, you will want more! These are HOMEMADE and the best thing I've ever eaten. $8 PRETZEL BITES: perfect pairing while drinking! These are soft and served with a side of cheese. $15 SMOKED SALMON DIP: amazing dip and served with those delicious homemade crackers & some fresh grapes. A perfect paring. BROWNIE: best brownie I've had in a long time! She wouldn't disclose her secret ingredient, but it was a MINT brownie. I died! OVERALL (4/5): I love supporting this local business. The owners are wonderful, they only buy wine from women or minority owners and they have a great selection of wine and delectable food. This place is a hidden gem! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
