I have fought to make sure I am here at least a few times a week, and I am grateful every time I am able to follow through for myself. Because of my erratic schedule, I am likely to show up at any class time which means that I have seen/experienced a number of different instructors for different class levels, and I have enjoyed each and every one. Every one has been kind and helpful and extremely patient. When you walk in, you are greeted at the door by whoever is working the desk for that shift. The vibe is relaxed and mellow and you just feel like you're in a safe space, which is so necessary sometimes. There are cubbies on the left to leave your personal belongings and shoes, and then you can enter into the actual studio. There are mats, blocks, towels, blankets, etc. for you to use so you never have to feel unprepared and you are always able to have a full experience. And if ever you cannot make it in person, they have virtual classes available, as well. Overall, thankful to having found this place and looking forward to utilizing my membership as much as I can. Only thing I will warn about is the parking. Sometimes, it can get crowded/tight, but there is plenty of street parking available in case you want to avoid that. Otherwise, I recommend you check it out and see what they have to offer. :)

Most places just see clients and dollar signs. The Studio is diverse with various rooms where they do different things. The class I took was small and the instructor (Lauren) was knowledgeable and paid close attention to ensure everyone was doing the movements safely and getting the benefit expected out of each movement. I have severe lower back issues and I walked out of there feeling great! She is an approachable friendly soul that only has the best of intentions. She is also contagious because everyone in the room catches that vibe and we are warm friendly souls as well. She had everything set up with roses, petals, and a chocolate fondue station for strawberries. It was a calm and serene ambiance. Ashley lead the class with such peaceful vibes. It connected my boyfriend and I in a totally positive way. It was a perfect way to spend Valentine's Day. I took the spring and summer months off from this studio because I couldn't bear the thought of facing a heated room. Did hot yoga (Bikram) once at another studio. Never again! It was the single most disgusting class of my life. I was physically ill for days. I believe and have learned from other yogis that a hot room is not healthy, especially at my age (58), and not necessary at any age. You should not have to drink water during your practice as it too distracting. I had to drink water today at Summus because I felt lightheaded and weak. I was unable to fully enjoy the class because my energy level was diminished due to the heat. It was probably 90F in there. I don't see the need for temp to be above 75F.
