Raw Fit has created an environment which welcomes people of all fitness levels, shapes, and sizes. They create workout plans which enable all members to achieve their fitness goals. Basically they show you if you put in the work and eat a sensible diet, you will see the results. That's it. At this gym, no one judges. I have booked a follow up consult with her to check in and review my food journal. ------------- I came in for a consultation several months ago and honestly felt like I wasted my money. The consultation was difficult to book because they don't open weekends and so I had to take time off work. Aside from that, the person I met with was completely unprepared. She kept shuffling for papers the entire time and ultimately was unable to provide me with any handouts or anything helpful. She then proceeded to regurgitate a little bit of info that is common sense or can easily be found online. I let her know I have a medical condition and wanted help/advice around how to eat better to manage the condition as well as achieve weight loss and I got nothing. She didn't help determine the amount of calories I need to consume to be in a calorie deficit, I didn't get weighed, she didn't take my measurements, BMI info. I honestly paid approx $70 for someone to tell me I needed to eat small portions, well no shit.

I got there quite early so I had time to look around. The waiting room is very clean and nice, albeit a bit sparse and quiet. The receptionist was very friendly though and greeted me immediately. Dr. Todd asked me if I had any current aches or pains (Why yes, yes I do!) and then gave me a rundown on how he would perform my massage. He also let me know that I could have him adjust the pressure/touch at any time during the massage. I don't like my massage to hurt a lot, but I am aware that there will be some pain because I like have my knots and tight spots worked out well. I didn't need Dr. Todd to adjust the pressure, because it was perfect for me. Ahhh hurts so good! I could really feel the knots loosening up little by little as he performed the massage. I know that these things cannot be magically fixed in one appointment, but I could tell that my shoulders and neck weren't nearly as tight as they were when I walked in. There were only two aspects of my visit that weren't 100% ideal for me. It was a bit chilly in the massage room (which detracted a bit of that warm and cozy, I-just-got-a-massage feeling), and also the oil used left my back a bit greasy. Overall though, this was a great massage and I would like to return, and SOON!

My back and neck are a hot mess and the only thing keeping me sane through all this pain is Dr. Tod and my Chiropractor. I have been seeing doctors, physical therapists, bio-feedback docs, etc. Nothing helps with the horrendous tightness and knots except for Dr. Todd's expert techniques. He knows exactly where it hurts and how to work out the kinks. Now if you are one of those people who doesn't like deep tissue massages, he is a full-range therapist. He makes adjustments to his techniques depending on your needs and comfort. Also, if you are experiencing any other health issues, Dr. Todd is a wealth of information in regard to health and nutrition. He's my go-to guy for combatting ailments, (I hate to take meds).
