Veggie tempura and beans

Good food, good drinks, good service. On a recent trip to manitou springs, I decided to try The Loop for lunch. Located on the north end of the DT manitou strip, this eatery boasts of an extensive food and drinks menu, and most of the items I tried were good. The strawberry marg was refreshing and strong, and the Burrito From Hell was exactly that - loaded (great serving size tbh) and spicy hot! Complimentary chips and salsa + very attentive servers made the trip worthwhile. I'll be back to try their order menu items for sure.

This is a Mexican restaurant but I decided to order the Pike's Peak burger. It was outstanding! Huge patty cooked to perfection. Crispy around the edges and tender on the inside. It came with tots or fries. I ordered the tots and they were perfect. All for $14.99. Take a look at the pictures I uploaded to get an idea. This burger came with lettuce, tomato, bacon, ham, cheese and avocado. No sauce an it didn't need it. The patty was seasoned perfect. It is definitely one of the best burgers I have ever had and that is saying a lot because I'm a beer and burger kind of gal. I lucked out going here as the three other places I tried were all closed for lunch that day. I will absolutely eat here again the next time I come. Raylee was my waitress and she was great - nice and friendly.

The loop is approximately located along a round about run manitou springs. I came here to try the margaritas, which I've heard a lot of good things about! We were out on a waitlist, but ended up being seated quickly. Our server was very nice, but he seemed a little stressed out and his section looked VERY full. He was still able to take our orders quickly and there wasn't much of a wait for food/drinks. The margaritas seem expensive for what they are, especially if you get the large size. I had the strawberry margarita and it was very good but it definitely wasn't strong. I ordered the vegetarian fajitas which were also good, but I did see some meat that must have accidentally gotten in the vegetables... some of the things we ordered never came either, but nothing too important. Overall, not a bad experience but not my favorite margaritas in town.

We ate dinner here on a recent trip to Manitou Springs after riding the train up Pikes Peak. We enjoyed our table for two by the fireplace, and our waitress was super friendly. Our drinks and meals were served quickly. We ordered a skinny margarita, a horni grandma, steak fajitas, and nachos.

Went back a second time with my boyfriend and our baby, and it was just as amazing. Gwen and Becky took care of us again--super kind, helpful, and Gwen even remembered our baby's name! There was a new dish for two on the menu that was incredible and gave us enough leftovers for a whole second meal each. This place is officially our go-to. Can't wait to bring the rest of the family!

I've heard so much about this place. Unsure if my disappointment was from the food or the hype. Just average food. Presentation lacked, flavor lacked. Shrimp was so overcooked. This place needs a good clean. Service just seemed confused. Who was taking care of us? Staff seemed more interested in chatting than service itself.

My birthday party!

At the suggestion of a good friend of mine, I chose to celebrate my birthday at The Loop this year. Making the reservation was super easy, even for getting a large table (9 people) on Mother's Day. I love the location because Manitou Springs is one of my favorite towns in Colorado. And The Loop is right in the middle of the best part of town. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the whole meal. Great drinks and delicious food was enjoyed by everyone. I had the Chili Verde Dinner. The menu said "very spicy". This is true. But also so delicious and filling. I had the Patron Margarita. Super tasty. Not overly boozy. The room noise level was really loud and filled with happy people. A bit too loud, maybe. But not terrible. Service during the meal was good, but could've been a bit better. I think the waitress was just a bit overwhelmed. But she kept a good attitude the whole time. I'm looking forward to going back again with a smaller group and on a less busy day.

YUM! We stopped in for a margarita and app--- our grande margaritas are going down fast and easy! Our chips and skillet queso are the perfect t app for a chilly evening. And Justine has been AMAZING! Super attentive, making sure we have everything we need, made great recommendations for our margaritas. Love sitting at the bar- festive, fun, great service! Can't beat it.

Delicious Silver Patron Margarita.

Of all the Mexican-style restaurants in the Springs, The Loop has the food with the best flavor!

Take a look at the bar and see if you can figure out its uniqueness. The guys that run it present a local spot that has good food, quality bands, and atmosphere out the ying yang. We walked in by accident as our intended venue had 'technical difficulties' and closed. I suspect we're not the only first-time patrons not knowing what to expect. Is there wait service or walk-up, music nightly or just weekends, the food good or plain bar food? We had sandwiches, fries, beers, and cokes. They all were delivered timely, as expected, satisfying, well presented and tasty. The Armadillo is a clean, lively music venue with attentive staff, good bar food, and all the ambience you could ever want. This place deserves all kinds of encouragement, but don't everybody go at once as I'm guessing the locals like it just the way it is.

That extra amount came from an added charge where I was apparently tipped for someone else's drink that got placed on my bill, plus ranch that I was never told would be an extra charge. When I tried to get it resolved, instead of fixing the issue, I was told there would also be an additional $3.50 "band fee" that was never mentioned beforehand. So not only were there unexpected charges added to my bill in the first place, but even while trying to correct it, more fees kept getting tacked on. There was zero transparency about pricing and no clear communication about any of these charges. Extremely frustrating experience overall.
