I don't entirely understand all of the reviews. This place is a solid 3-star restaurant. Don't expect to get your socks rocked off, but it is sufficient in what it markets itself to be: a simple restaurant/bar add-on for the simple Premier Inn it's attached to.
My bf and I grabbed a seat here while waiting for the coach bus back to London. We got ourselves two reasonably priced ciders and split a steak sandwich. The steak sandwich was somewhat more creative than what I would expect in a place like that, and while I didn't like the chutney sauce (a personal preference), the bread, steak, and chips were well prepared and flavoured. Overall, I quite enjoyed the meal!
