Long Bay was a beautiful golf course. Not easy by any means with some long par 4's and par 3's. The island hole is a fun par 3 that resembles the island green at the invitational. i was lucky enough to par that baby. This Jack Nicolas designed course will test your game from a length and accuracy standpoint. Located on highway 9 in longs about 25 min away from Myrtle its a nice course.

Great golf course staff was great and the price was very good ! Greens were in great shape and the course was also played with my son in laws and we all 3 loved it can't go wrong play this course!!!!

One of the best golf courses in Myrtle beach... You couldn't ask for a more challenging course... Make sure you get online & get a discount @ golf now.com, if not you'll pay twice the amount... Fairways are well watered & green all year... Greens are short, well watered, & fast... Bring your "A" game...

Course was beautiful and in great shape. Lots of bugs at club house, fortunately no on the course…read more The staff was terrible. The guy with long white hair (retired cop) is the most miserable prick. He should not be customer facing. Put him in the back of house washing dishes or something. Set the a horrible mood for the day and even the Starter said he is terrible. Once on the course turned into a positive day.

I was looking for a sub $90.00 round in May of 2011, as I was picking up friends from the airport…read morelater that evening, so I actually checked the Yellow Pages (as opposed to all the technology that surrounds us) and saw Aberdeen fit my needs, or so I thought. I grew up in a big city and the courses are wrecked for the most part, just too many people, not enough golf courses. Aberdeen was short, chewed up teeing areas, greens had bad portions (sick and burnt) and I know this can happen, but just not an interesting layout to my eye. I played 18 with a few weekend hacks, which did not help, as they kept asking "what club did you hit?", they were nice guys, but I was already not feeling the love from the course and answering questions was not helping. As I mentioned in a previous review (Prescott Country Club) I enjoy links golf and I think this course was looking to accomplish that, but it just did not work for me.

This review is for the Davis Love III course. I've played…read morethe Noman and the Fazio before but not the Love or Dye courses. The Dye course is was being aerated so by default, I played the Love course today on a Monday with an 8am tee time. I was solo so I got paired with a father and son, John and Mike from Massachusetts. They had never played that course before so we all figured it out as we went along. The difficulty level is high. Many strategically placed bunkers. Many in the fairway, along the the sides of the fairway and many are green side bunkers. These impacted your play on most every hole. There is a fair amount of water that comes into play as well. There are ponds, creeks and marsh areas throughout. The tee boxes were all in excellent condition as were the greens. Most all of the fairways were green and well maintained. Like all the other Barefoot Resort courses, you get the GPS enabeled golf carts. There were two bathrooms on each of the nine holes. Pace of play was excellent and it didn't feel like it was crowded or rushed. We played 18 holes in about 4 hours and 15 minutes. There are several Par 3's that are very reachable. Like the other courses, you do not come back to the clubhouse on the turn. They did have a cart making regular rounds and were stocked with sandwiches as well as the beers, spirits and non-alcohol beverage choices. I got a great rate of $125.00 which is reduced from the Spring rate. I'll be looking forward to playing the Dye course my first opportunity.

We were delayed by paying $20 for our pic and told off the 3rd tee we were 3 min behind now. Only…read moresaw bev cart once until we found her at 130pm back at the clubhouse. Conditions were ok, but never knew if it was a bunker or just sand. Not worth cost
