While the woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful, another staff member was rude when we teed off on the back nine. He then proceeded to tee off on the same hole, which added to the frustration. On top of that, a group of four players became upset with me and my two friends for playing "too slow," despite the fact that we were on pace to finish nine holes in under two hours. Overall, while the course was enjoyable, the staff interactions and atmosphere took away from what should have been a much better experience.

We got paired with a Father & Son fro, New Jersey, Jim & Jimmy. It was so windy, gusting to 30 degrees. Just not fun to play in those conditions. It's a good course for Calabash. I especially liked all the choices you had on the tee box. There were some tricky blind shots and a fair amount of water that comes into play. You get the GPS enabled carts and there is one bathroom on each side.

Made us go 30 minutes early when we just got to the range after paying for range balls. Same starter also sat on the outside of the fairway in the shadows on a par 4 and my playing partner just missed the fairway and hit the cart on a bounce. He the proceeded to to stop us and ask who hit it, then took down his name like he was going to tell the principal. He said he could see us so that meant we could see him even though not a single person on the tee box noticed him until the ball struck the cart. Not sure why he wrote the name down. To maybe ban the person? If so they don't have to worry about us coming from Virginia to play here anymore! So many better options at better prices in a 20 mile radius!

My second favorite golf club worldwide…read more I played this course during Round 1 of the Golf Tournament. I ran back over to Rivers End as soon as our tournament was over. The pace was so good that I wish I had paid for 18 instead of 9. I played with some really cool guys. One of them lives on the course. Arnie's Revenge beat me again. I played much better today than I did on Tuesday. This is definitely a course you'd like to check out.
