After pavement over creek bridge turns to gravel w connecting trails to McCleod fitness center, Tasty Crab business, and Lowe's under the bridge. The trail does continue out of Lowe's park lot near wooden posts not clearly marked. From this point forward the trail is not easy to run because all the tree roots covering ground, goes on for almost mile to near Wal Mart. I eliminated this portion of trail from my normal run cause it's not worth having to worry about twisted ankles. I run the paved portion and a small amount of gravel area, can get 3.2 miles start to finish. The trail is flat, good for improving speed. There are no lights along trail it is canopied under trees almost entire way so can be dark in middle of day. It is sparsely populated, portions of pavement have some dips broken pieces so maintain watch. Alongside pavement is sand/gravel that can run for less impact on knees. Remember to spray yourself w OFF lots of mosquitoes gnats will get on you when not moving. Best running location I have found in Florence.

There's a nice shelter at the river house to rest under when you get back, bathroom, and even a camping area for groups that want to stay overnight. I experienced no grace or openness from the manager who rudely called me and dismissed my side of a situation. He talked down to me like I was a child in his local church assembly. Apparently, asking a teenage lifeguard what she plans to do for future school or her age bracket is such a violation that I was equal to a pedophile roaming for kids. It was a horrible judgment and a scary reaction from a place filled with supposed Christian beliefs. It was more like liberals holding a witch hint who throw Bibles everywhere. A cancel culture should never manifest in a so-called Christian environment. To make matters worse, the idiot manager called the local police after he threatened to do so. Why? Because I dared him to talk down to me in person. It is amazing how panicky a manager acts when he is challenged to talk the same way in person to a grown man as he did over the phone. Perhaps this community needs to realize that a church community is not the same as a public community. If the management act punitive over a few questions, then be prepared to censor yourself similarly to liberal environments up north. Both groups act like tribes with harsh codes protecting their turf. As far as them being Christian, omit the following traits from their formula: graceful, merciful, forgiving, tolerant, or wise. When I spoke to the police officer, I shared my story which was also canceled by the manager. The office said, "I am sorry. This behavior is happening everywhere, not just in liberal states. We get complaints like this one, and that organization is private so they can do qhat they want." Hence, the cancel culture exists in the south, and acted on by those waiving their Bibles on walls. To future customers, do not be fooled by the Bible verses. It is a business with some very judgmental, fragile management. They did me a favor! ​
