These guys have really nailed how to run a bicycle workshop! You've got the shopkeeper at the front who greets you, then two guys at the back busy working away on various bicycles.
I walked in with my bike and was greeted straight away, asked to wait a few minutes and one of the mechanics would see me. I was having some gear trouble and he put the bike up on the clamp and had a fiddle, then took it for a ride around the block. He was really good and diagnosed the problem quickly. Since my gear unit isn't being made anymore, getting the parts would be the problem, but if I could track down the parts, they said to just come back and they'd fit it.
I asked 'how much?' and the chap said, 'well, we didn't fix your problem, so no charge'. That was very decent of them, because I did take up a bit of his time and he successfully diagnosed the problem for me. So great service, I'll certainly be coming back (good news! I think I found the part I need).
As for the shop, it's all very clean and minimal. All the parts and accessories on the wall appear to have been chosen for their quality, so I don't think there's much chance of people not being satisfied after a visit here. read more
