I forgot to mention all the black mold. I was so sick living there and there was ack mold everywhere that they refused to address. The day that I had someone coming to measure the wire quality they went down in the basement with buckets of something and the air spores still came out high. They followed the guy out and paid him off. Run. Run. Run. When my apartment was being finished I got to know the construction guys. They told me they ripped out asbestos and just threw it in the dumpster with no remediation. Same thing with various toxins and dies left over in the building. read more

Not worth the money. If you want to live in a "loft" go rent somewhere else that is actually nicer. The walls are super thin you can hear everyone's conversation loud & clear. Concrete floor that is absolutely hideous with horrible cheap painting to cover it up. Like George, I'm not sure where the bad press comes from. I lived there for a little over a year. The only reason I had to move was my fiancee has a house of her own and financially it didn't make sense to maintain two households. I've lived in a number of apartment situations and Jenny Bogan is the most professional and responsible of the property managers I've dealt with. She usually responds to texts or voicemails within 24hrs. Aside from the management, the building was BEAUTIFUL. I never saw any rodents as others have claimed. If you have a dog, this is the building for you. Almost every apartment has a dog. They have a dog park and at times the mail room looks like a Chewy.com distribution center. My only regret was that I had to move for reasons of mathematics. read more

I'm so glad to see other past and current tenants speaking up about the conditions at this place. I am not one to complain about maintenance issues; I'm a person who would rather fix things myself to avoid the discomfort of complaining or reporting things. But the management of this place wasn't just ineffective/inefficient, they were downright immoral in their dealings. Think fudging official records, hitting you with weird unexplained bills or notes indicating you have an outstanding balance on your rent (how would that even happen?) and finally taking official action using buddies in high up places to intimidate/threaten you. Sounds crazy, and it is. Living here was traumatizing beyond anything I believed possible in a living situation. read more

HEY! YOU! YES YOU, LOOKING UP APARTMENT REVIEWS! Read this! If you have any other option, at all, do not move here. Even if the other places are smaller or seem less "nice", know that looks are deceiving. There are serious health hazards in these buildings. There are constant leaks, there is black mold as a result, and if you try to bring it to anyone's attention, you'll be threatened. Read the other reviewers who state that, for example, they were suddenly texted that they weren't allowed to have a pet or they now have to pay a pet fee once they complained about something (mold, leaks, mice, etc). I personally didn't complain until the very end of my time living here. I was threatened, literally, with eviction when I spoke up. Jenny Bogan does not hesitate at all to send threatening texts. I remember how shocked I was at her unprofessionalism the first time it happened, but it became commonplace for her to threaten me and other tenants. There were also random fees that would show up on my balance - fees I did not owe. This happened to a bunch of us late in 2019. Make sure you look up Rebecca and Garfield Spencer, and and the names they've done business as, to see the health hazards in their other buildings (they've made the news!). There is black mold in the buildings, which is a health hazard. There is also mold in places like the lint screens in the laundry room because of the chronic wet conditions in the dryers. They never clean the air vents for the dryers (that go behind the dryer and through the walls) , so your clothes can dry for literally 2 hours and still be damp because the vents are so clogged with lint that there's no air circulation. It's also a major fire risk. One thing that really helped me defend myself from Jenny was knowing the law - the tenant handbook from Tenant Network Rhode Island is a really good resource. Do a "deep search" on google; do whatever you have to do to arm yourself with enough information to make an educated decision about moving here. read more

This has to have been the worst place i've ever lived. It's a great place with some amazing architectural characteristics, but, don't let it swoon you. The apartments were built fast and shoddy so they could shove as many people in to get their return on investment, the property manager and "project" manager are of no help, it takes at least a solid 7 days to contact them about any issues happening. The parking is an absolute nightmare, there are no lines painted in any of the parking lots, so, it's a free for all, no one really respects others parking spaces as well. Speaking of no respect, some of the tenants that live here have never heard of the word. The interior walls aren't insulated just two layers of sheetrock which doesn't sound proof the loud obnoxious music blaring around you at random and inconvenient times of the day/night. The apartment appliances themselves are the cheapest ones they could find, our dishwasher never really cleaned our dishes, even after cleaning it 33x and this was a brand new appliance too. Don't settle for this nightmare of a place, yeah the rent is low but you'll pay for it with all the inconveniences that will show up during your time here, in hell. read more

We have lived at the Lofts 125 just over a year now. We are very happy here, it's the nicest place we have had since we sold our home in Florida. We had to wait 3 months for the unit we wanted to become available, but it was well worth the wait! With black granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, glass cook top stove, hardwood floors, laundry hookups in the bathroom and 14' ceilings, most units are BRAND NEW. There may not be a gym, swimming pool, fancy community rooms with pool tables, but the units are beautiful at a fair price. We originally viewed many rental complexes, mills and lofts in Rhode Island. We can honestly say after viewing them and seeing what they offered in addition to "Additional Fees", this is the best value! There's no question....when looking for a new home, you need to be selective and check out as many places as possible. Everyplace is not for everyone. Walgreens and CVS is just around the corner and downtown Pawtucket with some great restaurants are all within walking distance as well as the YMCA gym. Another bonus is Armando's meat market which is right across the street. If you are not familiar with an original butcher shop... You must check this place out! The owners, Garfield and Rebecca which we have met several times have always been cordial and are very nice. We have even seen them both working in the complex side by side the construction workers. Jenny Bogan the manager is here most of the week working hard to make this the best place to live. Any issues we have had were addressed within 24 hours. As with any place, a house, duplex, or any other complex you'd move into there are always going to be misc. issues. They say you cannot please everyone which is true. It's to bad some people take out there anger in a review for all to read. Anyone who has moved in knew this place was under construction but still signed a lease and moved in, so it's not fair to complain about the progress, enjoy it. I don't even know where to begin with the amount of disgust I have had living here. We will start with the black mold though. I informed my landlord I had black mold upstairs on the ceiling through text a numerous amount of times, in which she ignored every single text. I have called her numerous times, she ignored those phone calls as well. I have asthma, black mold is deadly for me! Not to mention disgusting. I have a dog as well who I don't want inhaling that. I had to go downstairs and knock on the management office to tell her face to face to get her to actually do something. Maintenance came the next day, cut the black mold out of the ceiling and informed me they would be back the next day when it's try to patch up the hole, and of course they never came back. Then literally in that same week I was in the kitchen and seen a mouse run out from under my fridge. I then freaked out and called the landlord and texted her no response. I ended up setting traps up myself and caught the mouse, thought that was the end of it but that was just the start. I set up numerous traps in my house and caught about 7,8 mice. I finally went downstairs again to knock on management door to ask if she changed her number since she doesn't respond to my texts or calls she says no "i didn't receive a text from you" then i show her the receipts and she says "I'm sorry i must've been busy and forgot to respond" the next day sends maintenance, and all they do is set traps (which i already did) and while they were there i asked them to patch the hole in my ceiling upstairs they told me "i can't you have to make an appointment for that" which i was never told when they originally cut the hole in my ceiling, they told me that day they would be right back. Anyways, i kept finding mice so i kept texting her about this problem and demanded an exterminator, she kept telling me they're coming they're coming but when i asked when she couldn't give me an answer because she did not call. The craziest part about all of this was she had the audacity to text me after all of this saying "it came to my attention your dog is not in the lease it's $50 extra a month" mind you , i have been there for a year, and when i moved in I showed her the paper work of him being a service dog. That is not my fault if you did not take copy's of it, but the audacity to ask me for extra money for "pet rent" when I have found 8 mice in my loft, is she going to pay rent for those pets? I have never missed a payment I have never been late, i am not loud, I'm very clean and the way she treats people esp ad the building manager is horrible. Ever since then she has been very petty with me, I came home to run in for 5 seconds to pick my dog up she was yelling at my for parking in front mind you SHE does it and so does everyone else in these lofts and she doesn't say anything to them. As if this is my fault these lofts are infested with mice. They even increased my rent 100$ after all of this. Furthermore an exterminator eventually came 8 mice later, set up traps and it seemed to be quiet for a little while but today I found a mouse again. I texted the landlord no response. I'm honestly just fed up and I have been looking for a new place but it is hard finding one at a decent price everything is so expensive which is the only reason I am here. 0 out of 10 stars do not recommend. You have a better chance getting in touch with the IRS during tax season that Aurora (the building manager). read more

I had all positive experiences living at the lofts for the 1.5 years I lived there. I moved in September 2009 and moved out in May 2011 only because I moved in with my boyfriend and we found a gorgeous house on the water. I used to live in Unit 2305, a gorgeous two-bedroom on the third floor. We were unaffected by the fire in that wing, thankfully and didn't have any smoke or water damage. I never had any real issues.. no bugs, no leaks, no mice, no theft or anything. The one time my A/C stopped working they were there with guys in a week or so which wasn't bad because it never got that hot in there. I also liked the people that lived near me. Everyone was very quiet (the perks of being on the top floor) and very friendly in the hallways. Oh and I never paid for gas because they never divided the meters. After at least a year they asked everyone to chip in $150 or so. Seems like a decent break depending on how long you'd lived there at the time. Obviously there are a lot of negative experiences written here so I can't speak for anyone else, but personally I loved living there and miss it often. Bringing groceries to the third floor was a pain, but the unit was great and everyone always gave me compliments when they visited. Oh, and if you get home after midnight, you'll probably be fighting for a parking spot. read more

They are never in the office- when they are door remains closed and once you manage to speak to someone, prepare to be instantly confronted with attitude that can not be reckoned with. Not worth the cost considering also that the amenities provided are always broken! Garbage shoots are to be on every floor, yet only 1 floor is ever operable. Mice and pest problem. Absolutely loved living here. Moved after 2 years only because I bought a condo. Jenny Bogan and her team are fantastic. Always polite and responsive. Sound proofing is near perfect. Dog friendly with lots of dogs but no noise (very important to me as I have cats) and all tenants follow the rules. Loved the high ceilings and brick walls. I never heard a sound from other units including my next door neighbors. Jenny replaced all the old windows in the building while I was there with minimal inconvenience to me. Never heard any other tenant with a complaint. And (in response to other reviews) no mice, bugs or mold. I don't know where the bad reviews come from but can only think they are from everyone else considers tenants from hell. Better for all that they moved out. read more

Keep in mind that most people who take the time to write reviews have had a negative experience. I wanted to take a few minutes to speak for the dozens of people who've had positive ones at lofts 125. The apartment is enormous, updated appliances, has a ton of character, ample parking, and is super dog friendly (one of the cheapest places to have a dog i might add). I have to move back to NYC for work but if I could stay I would have definitely renewed. It's not the greatest in terms of walkability of the neighborhood, but I see many positive indicators of change all around (brewery and restaurant going up across the street, rail station, new coffee shops, farmers markets). I've rented apartments for many years, and one of the most important things that contribute to renter satisfaction is their relationship with the landlord/management. JENNY BOGAN is hands down the most kind, helpful landlord I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Save yourself the nightmare of dealing with the professional management companies where it's nearly impossible to talk to a person about your concerns and issues. Jenny is almost always onsite, communicates quickly with texts, and addresses issues In a very timely manner. It's so nice to deal with a genuine person and her on site staff rather than fighting with an external mngmt company. If your ok with the location (I was fine with it because of proximity to black stone where I run with my dog. Also it's only a $5-8 uber ride from dinner and drinks in providence), give this complex serious consideration. This is a great place to live! read more

My boyfriend and I had a positive experience at Lofts 125. Jenny and crew were prompt with us about getting maintenance done and she always returned my phone calls within 24 hours. I'd like to address some of the problems others have mentioned here, though, as I did witness a few of them going on. First, people who live at the Lofts need to be charged a pet deposit or pet rent of some kind. This will either deter them from leaving their dog do all over or will pay for someone to be hired to take care of it. I only ever saw one dog "accident" in a hallway and it was gone when I returned down the hall 15 min later, so I assume the owner (or a good samaritan) picked it up. This kind of thing isn't something that the property management is 100% responsible for. While it is their job to maintain the property, it is the dog owner's job to clean up their dog's messes. I own a dog who lived with me at the Lofts and was very responsible about cleaning up after her, but there are plenty of people who don't share that sentiment for one reason or another. In terms of rats, we did have a mouse or two, but once we called maintenance they immediately (and I mean within HOURS) had a guy come up with traps and stuff to seal the small hole with. After this they had exterminators come and handle the problem and within a few days there were no more mice. A few notes, though. First, the Lofts are very, very old. (I believe the building was originally built in the late 18th century) They are situated in New England, and during the late fall, mice are NOT an uncommon issue for old buildings to have. When I reported the issue, they handled it promptly. Our one issue that we never did get fixed was a faulty light fixture on the ceiling in the living room. We asked a few times to get it fixed or replaced, but it never wound up getting done. I was going to take a star off for that, but how we were treated when we moved out caused me to put it right back on. My boyfriend and I were laid off from our jobs within a week of each other. Jenny was not only understanding about us having to be two weeks late on rent, but she also made sure the late fee was waived and stopped by more than once just to see how we were hanging in there (once just coming in to chat for a half hour or so). She was so kind to us! Eventually, we wound up finding work... but across the country, and we regrettably had to move with very little notice. We were concerned about there being a penalty of some kind for breaking our lease early, but there was none... and Jenny said many times how sorry she was to lose us as tenants and that she was sorry to see us go. Honestly, any of the problems we encountered were really minor compared to how nice it was to live at the Lofts. We actually had no issues with Jenny and nothing we encountered was anything abnormal for a building of that age and size. Pawtucket is meh, but it's close enough to Providence and (regardless of what people say) Providence traffic is NEVER bad... though being originally from Boston I'm fairly well convinced that outside of my hometown and maybe LA, most people have no idea what bad traffic really is. If my career ever takes me back to that area, I would happily live at the Lofts again. read more

I have so much to say about lofts 125 and my interaction with Jenny. I lived there from February 18' - February 19'. It started since day 1. Moved in to these beautiful lofts to find out my heat doesn't work. Blowing cold air in the middle of winter. I contacted Jenny and she responds "unplug your water heater for 5 minute." The whole entire year it was so this. The windows aren't insulated so I'd come home from work to find my apartment below 50 degrees. My hot water wouldn't work 70% of the time. And every time I complained about it she would always tell me the same thing just unplug it. Then I had issues with the noise level of my upstairs neighbor. I COULD HEAR EVERYTHING. I could hear people that were on the phone with him it was that bad. He would vacuum in the middle of the night at like 2 in the morning. I complained constantly. They did nothing about it. I have nudes recordings of him vacuuming. Then one day he had a party. On a Wednesday. They stayed up until 4am. I get it. I love to party and be with my friends too. But I'm also very respectful for my neighbors. Anyways. I told Jenny about the incident and I know she wouldn't of taken care of it. So I told her I was going to write them a letter and stick it on there door. I was super nice about it. And I felt so bad doing it. But after that he was super respectful. They don't take care of their parking lots during the winter. COMPLETELY COVERED IN SHEETS OF ICE. So dangerous since the parking lot isn't even. Then there was one time maintenance woke me up at 7 in the morning saying they were there to fix something. I had no idea what they were talking about but I was upset they woke me up on my day off. Imagine if I didn't wake up and they walked in on me sleeping? They were trying to unlock my door when I opened it. So I confronted Jenny and she could of cared less. That was my breaking point (on top of so much more BS) I just couldn't take it anymore. Don't get me going about the mice issues. People dogs barking 24/7 scratching on metal doors. ( poor pups) It was a beautiful place but I couldn't take it. So I told her I was not renewing my lease. Without days she was trying to show my apartment. You need to give a tenant 24 hours before showing your apartment. She would message me day of let's say at 11 asking if she could show my apartment at 12. I'd always say no because I have a cat and I don't want him getting freaked out strangers are in the home without me. Touching my cat. I'm good. That always happened. Last minute showings. And I always said no. So then......my last day of cleaning that's what I thought was beautiful place but after living there I quickly realized it was a shit hole. She came and looked at it so I could get my deposit back and give her the keys. Since I pass that place every day going to work she offered me to come physically pick up my security deposit. When moving out the building legally has 20 days I believe it give you your deposit. Every week I'd ask her what day is good to come get it. Nothing. Ask again. She's just run around in circles why she couldn't give it back. (my friends who have moved out have told me this is an issue) so wouldn't you know. After 20 days I never got my deposit. So. I told her I would be contacting a lawyer if she doesn't give me my deposit. She was insanely rude to me and told me I was no longer allowed to come pick it up and she will be sending it to me in the mail. I still have the whole interaction of text messages between her and I since day 1 of moving in. I'd never recommend anyone to live there. read more

Complete nightmare this place! I lived here for many years and it was nothing but a headache. Do not move here!! 1. Totally mice infested! Management will blame the previous owners for being "slobs" or tell you they are "just field mice" I caught over 100+ mice living here. I should own a small portion of the mouse trap company. 2.Just sit and stare at the baseboards and mice will run along them. 3. Countertops had mouse poop on them every morning. 2.Cupboards that had no food would have hundreds of mouse droppings- it was repulsive but you become immune. 2. Management (Jenny Bogan) lies compulsively! Nothing they say they will do ever gets done. Ever. I don't know how this women still has a job. Along with her crew of liars (Araura...) 3. Promised a new stove, new bedroom doors- never done. 4. Windows are so terrible it feels like outside, inside during the winter- in fact snow flakes would come in when it was windy. 5.Doors in bedroom fit so poorly that moisture would gets in and causes mold to form on my curtains. 6.Had multiple leaks in my bathroom that took 4 attempts to fix as water leaked from ceiling and ceiling fell down. Crew never finished the ceiling and left it rough and unfinished/painted. 7. Bricks are unsealed, wait till you start to cough when you turn the air on. 4. Terrible workmanship, nothing fits or operates properly. Don't be fool by the initial looks. 5.Sharp wire on loft stairs, cheap material that always ripped my clothes. 6.Cheap wood floors that marked over nothing. 7.Cheap paint on walls that is more like a powder and can't be cleaned. 8.Cant get packages delivered due to locked doors. 9.Dog poop EVERYWHERE! No one cleans up. 10.Front steps of building are used as a pee spot for dogs. 11.Parking lot doesn't get plowed, you WILL get stuck or have to shovel yourself out- have fun. 12.AC issues constantly. 13.Crew and management either won't show up or show up late for anything you need. Generally they don't show up. Overall this was the worst place looking back, and I can't believe I put up with it for so long! Really, no one should have to live with so many mice & issues. There comes a point when one goes from feeling sorrow for someone to feeling regretful for allowing a situation to occur. This is exactly how I feel about Jenny Bogan and First National Development. Since college, all I wanted to live in was a converted factory loft. The wooden floors, soaring ceilings, oversized windows and most importantly, the exposed brick. After touring the building and being shown a unit that was still under construction in June 2011, I decided to go ahead and sign a lease beginning August 1 2011. It was not only explained to me what still needed to be finished, but GUARANTEED to be finished for my August 1st move in date. This deadline was crucial considering I moved over 300 miles away from anyone and everyone that I knew. As my move-in date was fast approaching, I noticed that work on my unit had come to a stand still. After reaching out to Jenny to check the status, I was reassured that the unit would be finished on time and that they were on schedule. Having a false trust in her, I continued to pack and prepare to move in. August 1st came...and went... as did the 7th...14th...21st... and so on. They "generously" allowed me to move my personal belongings into the unit, but was told that I was not allowed to occupy the unit because they have not had it inspected yet. I met with Garfield Spencer (Managing Partner for First National Development) and was told that it would (once again) be about another week until I could stay in my unit. After hearing this I asked him "Do you have a place to go to sleep tonight, to rest your head and a bed to call your own" after he answered I responded "I'm glad you do, because I don't. My bed is currently thrown against the wall by your workers in a unit that I am not allowed to occupy". Showing no compassion or effort to make things right, he left. I was offered a temporary unit to stay in until my unit was completed, however, as I was preparing to move in, Jenny had rented out the unit and the new tenants were already moving in. Once my unit was FINALLY inspected and the certificate of occupancy was signed in mid-September, I started making the unit feel like home. One good thing about this community, management allows you to paint the walls as you please. For me however, this came at the cost of management using my unit as their "model" unit to show investors as well as possible tenants. I was rarely given 24 hour notice (if at all). Even when asked, and I politely said no, my unit was still shown to god knows who. (The closet door being left open and my dead bold being left unlocked were dead giveaways.) I was told that I would have air conditioning within my unit, however this was just one item on the list that was "back ordered". Countless items that are easily obtained at any local home improvement store were conveniently "back ordered". This began to not only frustrate me, but concern me about what other items for my unit that I would have to go without. Other than the short cuts that were taken, lack of professionalism, shoddy workmanship and down right ignorance on how to properly install appliances and a heating unit, I did enjoy my time living at The 125 Lofts. If there were a change in management/ownership to ones who actually take pride in their work, keep their word and are up front and honest with their tenants, I would definitely move back in. read more

My wife and I moved into this building about 7 years ago and stayed for the entire 7 years. We are both accustomed to moving every couple years, but we loved living here so much there was no need to move! Affordable, spacious, and convenient to the highway. Jenny, the manager has always been excellent! Whenever we needed anything, she was right on it immediately. She was always really pleasant to us. I loved running into her in the hallways and just catching up on life with her! We will really miss living here. We created many great memories and will never forget this place. read more

Moved to Rhode Island this past year and landed at The Lofts 125. The price of rent was pretty reasonable compared to everything I looked at in the surrounding area. The building was pretty old, but gives off more of a vintage feel. I am originally from the mid-west and these type of living options just don't exist, so that was more of an excitement factor for me. The ceilings are high and the inside of my apartment was very spacious and well kept. All the electrical, kitchen and utility appliances were brand new. We did have an issue with the hot water, but it was fixed rather quickly once brought to the attention of management. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and recommend it to anyone new to the area or looking for a reliable place to live. Good pricing, management and maintenance staff is easy and quick to work with. Never had any issues with dogs, neighbors or rodents in my loft. I recommend it. read more

We have lived here 6 months and we love it! Jenny, Aurora, and their team of uber responsive staff work consistently to maintain the premises and provide immediate service if needed!! Its not Burger King, there are other tenants, and you may wait a few days but if you communicate everything is always fixed! What would I change? It would be cool if there was a dog park out back, or a central grilling area but you never know! Neighbors are friendly and helpful! One star for the one and only Jenny Bogan. I lived here for one year. I'll quickly mention the paper-thin walls, the puddle of dog pee that got constantly replenished by every single doggo in the building that you had to step over just to get to the front door, many broken things upon move-in, and the one time I came home to find URINE on the floor of my apartment after maintenance had come to change my fire alarm battery. Yes, you read that right, urine. Verified by numerous brave smell testers and white paper. Jenny laughed it off. Jenny came by within the first week I moved in, during which I showed her how the blinds in the windows were broken. I asked if I would be reimbursed if I replaced them myself, and she told me I couldn't do that because they had to be specially ordered as they were a custom size. I said ok, and put up curtains instead so I would still be able to have privacy. I ended up forgetting about the blinds because they were always covered by the curtains I had to keep shut due to the building's complete lack of insulation. Pretty soon I discovered more and more issues relating to the apartment, and, even more infuriatingly, that getting in touch with Jenny and then getting responses from her were like pulling teeth. You have to ask the same question multiple times because she picks and chooses the ones she wants to answer (when she replies, that is). I'll spare you all the frustrating details. Let's fast forward to move-out. Rhode Island's Tenant/Landlord Handbook very clearly states that a security deposit must be returned, along with an itemized notice of any deductions, within 20 days. I received my deposit check nearly 40 days after moving out, and only because I pestered Jenny multiple times (who lied every time saying she would send it out right away) before finally sending an image of the correlating page from the Tenant/Landlord Handbook. I did not receive my deposit in full. Why, do you ask? Because the blinds were broken. Seriously? If I didn't have so little faith in Jenny at this point, I would have thought she was joking. She has refused to send me back the rest of the money I'm owed. By the way, it's February 16, and I STILL have not received my itemized notice. Keep in mind that Jenny has already told me about 6 times she was sending it out right away. This place will scam you every which way they can. I am disgusted by the way this entire situation has been handled and have given them enough opportunity to make things right. It's such a shame, because the place has a lot of potential. read more

I lived at the lofts for half a year. The place is a disaster. The huge fire that burned down most of the un-renovated complex happened the day my girlfriend and I moved in. That should have been a sign that it was a bad choice. The company that owns the place was investigated for fraud and for a while we were instructed to pay our rent to a lawyer's office. In any case, living there was miserable. We kept our apartment clean but it didn't matter, there were still mice. Several of our neighbors let their dogs use the hallways for a bathroom and wouldn't clean up after them. Several neighbors had dogs that couldn't be left alone without barking for hours on end. The parking lot is a disaster as soon as it snows. No one moves their car for snow removal so you end up losing a quarter of the parking spaces in the winter. Washer dryer hookups are nice, but you'd need to have a stackable washer/dryer and those are expensive. You'll end up bringing your laundry to a laundromat (luckily there's one around the corner just a few blocks away) but carrying laundry up and down from the 3rd floor is a pain. And no, we didn't choose a 3rd floor apartment. We chose a 1st floor apartment but got stuck with a 3rd floor unit when the fraud investigation for the arson started, First National Development (the owner of the building) had their assets frozen and they couldn't finish the apartment we chose for an occupancy permit. 14' high ceilings are cool, but expensive to heat. How much might it cost to heat? Whatever First National decides to charge you. They hadn't gotten gas meters installed yet so at the end of the winter they just charged everyone whatever they wanted with no explanation. We asked to see a breakdown of how they determined what we owed but were ignored. I suspect they just divided the total gas bill by the number of units (with no regard to whether you have a 1 or 2 bedroom unit). Jenny Bogan is very nice face to face. But if you have a problem and are trying to get a hold of her, good luck. She'll dodge your calls and not call back. If you do end up renting here, do not give them your last month's rent. Let them keep your security deposit. It took us two months to get our deposit back. Our unit was immaculate when we left. There should have been no delay. They stopped answering calls from my girlfriend and would answer calls from my phone because they didn't recognize the number. They told us on three different occasions that the check was in the mail. It was only after having a lawyer draft a letter for us and sending it to Jenny's boss did we actually get a check from them. And if you're not from the area, Pawtucket sucks. There's hardly anything to do. Providence isn't far away, but traffic makes it a pain. For anyone unfortunate enough to end up there, Olly's pizza around the corner is good and they deliver. Yankee Spirits over in Attleboro has a great selection and great prices. And Armando's is a nice butcher shop with really good prices and it's literally across the street. Those are NOT reasons to live here though!! Oh and the good review from David should come with a caveat. He is a sort of unofficial employee of Jenny's. He helps out around the building and should not be considered a neutral source. He is nice and helpful in person though. read more

I had a very good experience living at the Lofts 125 for 1 year. The folks living in the apartment building are extremely friendly and the management team was always around to help with all of my random requests. This is a great location, just a 5 minute drive (or less) to downtown Providence and its very dog friendly. Jenny, the property manager works countless hours and is very approachable and easy to talk to. Only reason for my move is because I bought my first home. These are great lofts with a very reasonable price. read more

I moved into the new property 1 lofts on Beecher street in Pawtucket. Gorgeous units, spacious but what really makes it great is Jenny! She is a truly awesome woman, manages both properties- always attentive, and if you can't get ahold of her right away (because she is superwoman lol) She gets back to you in a timely manner. One thing that makes it so special is definitely having Jenny as the property manager. Great job! read more

I rented from this place in october of this year and moved out a month later. This is the worst place I have ever rented and probably the worst managed property I have ever experienced. I had no hot water for a week due to a defective water tank which they knew about but too cheap to fix. I had no heat for a few weeks because every time you call to complain they ignore you or just simply forget. It took a week to get all of my appliances. I complained about no electricity in my kitchen for 3 weeks and after numerous phone calls they finally fixed it. The number 1 thing that made me move out was the fact that I found a cockroach in my kitchen and the day I was moving in I saw one out in the parking lot which they denied was probably one. Oh and did I mention a rat the last week I was there. The walls are so thin you can here everything. It's just awful. I am currently fighting them in small claims because after telling me they would give me back a portion of my rent as well as my security, they have refused to do so and wouldn't return my phone calls. I have spoken to a few tenants that moved out and they are also waiting for there deposits.So basically don't expect your money back. The company First National Development are a bunch of money hungry thieves who don't give a **** about there tenants. The quality of these lofts are terrible. It's as if they hire any one off the street to build, paint etc. I consider these lofts the "guetto lofts' of RI. I am serious when I say DO NOT rent from these people because it will just be nothing but headaches. read more

Jenny may seem like a sweet person, but I'm no one to fool. I wouldn't be surprised if her accent is fake. I was swindled into applying for a studio loft at 125 for 950 dollars well below the 1150 I pay now at my current loft I am moving out of. I gave a deposit of $500 and filled out the application also paying the fee of $35. I have pretty good credit and from the begging something irked me into regretting paying the fee. She said the apartment will be done in time but it was no where close to be finished. A week before I needed to move she tells me that the credit report she pulled came up with no info. I immediately payed $25 for my own equifax report and emailed it to her. A few days later she tells me I was denied. Why did I need to come out of my pocket and go out of my way to do her job?? Reading all of the other reviews and even speaking to a buddy of mine- come to find out I'm not the only one who was ripped off for a application fee and denied. My mother is a loan officer and I sent here my report she wasn't sure why I was denied when I only have student loans that are paid on time. I have a full time job and make 35k a year with bonuses, never been evicted and have great references- so where's the issue?? The issue is that lofts at 125 and Jenny are ripping people off. Imagine showing the apartment to 3 people in one day at a minimum- that is 100 dollars a day times 7 days a week, that's a weeks pay!!! Great scam Jenny! Lived here for a year, overall positive experience. Builds and units are great- super spacious, it's the best-priced lofts/apartment building in Providence. Had a few paranormal experiences but nothing too bad. The neighborhood is ok, slowly getting better. Move in was a nightmare, my apartment wasn't ready when Jenny said it would be, I was put in a temporary unit for 2 weeks, but again, moving was a nightmare. Jenny is pretty responsive to anything I needed to be fixed, however still waiting on my deposit. read more

I lived in the apartments back in 2012. It was by far the worst experience of my life. Irene (if she is still there) was a sweetheart of a property manager. However, upper management was horrible. Jenny Bogan was terrible all around. Anyway, the breaking point for me was when we found a bed bug on our wall. They took care of 2 treatments with the big blue bug company, however, I did not believe them that this was "an isolated issue". I actually called the big blue bug directly and they gave me a list of apartments with bedbugs (beginning 8 years prior to when I called in 2012) literally rattled off a list of about 12 units that were infested. Due to the nature of it being an old building, this is just a nightmare of a location to have an infestation. I moved out immediately. Oh and the hallways reek of urine. read more

Living here is like playing the lottery. if nothing needs repairs, you wont notice the poor response time from management. My apartment was OK for the most part, but I've heard of nightmares from the people living here regarding AC. On my second month (March 2011) I got a letter form the mortgage holder stating that the management was not paying their bills and to pay them directly. Because of their poor reviews in the past, they allow dog owners (who typically have less options due to restrictions with dogs) to live here to help fill empty apartments. I often find dog feces and urine in the hallways and outside the building. The dog owners don't pick up after their dogs. Many of my guest say things when they arrive like: "it smells like pee by the front door" or" im going to leave my shoes outside because I just stepped in poo' my personal favorite was when someone stepped in poo in the parking lot and used the front steps to scrape it off their shoes, now its on the stars!!! I like everything else about my apartment. The look, the kitchen, the price, but I am forced to walk the hallways and share the common parking lot. The parking lot has about 45 spaces, and I see about 10-15 cars parked in overflow areas at night, all the while they are adding even more units. The manager has good intentions and is pleasant. its obvious she is overwhelmed by all her tasks with renovations, construction, current tenants, new tenants, ect... well, like the saying goes, $h!T happens, and at 125goff, it happens a lot read more

The apartments themselves are very nice and well maintained. The staff though not on hand at the apartments are very friendly and helpful and easy to reach. There's a great sense of community here as well. That being said there are a few cons. As far as noise goes you can hear everything that goes on in everyones apartments, there are a lot of young people here who forget how well sound travels here so if you like to go to bed early then this is not the place for you! Also being a dog friendly building theres a lot of barking and howling so if you're not a dog lover again, look elsewhere. Lofts 125 are expanding which is great but I was not made aware there would be construction everyday at 7am right outside my window. Parking can also be a bit of am issue spmetimes. Overall it's a good price for what you get. Sort of reminds me of living in college dorms, just a little bit nicer! read more

I am trying to stay objective I will provide the pros and cons about lofts 125. I'm giving it a hard 1 star soft 2 stars. There aren't many pros so I'll list those first: Pros: -The charm of the loft style apartments is incredible. If you're a 20 something who can overlook everything I am about to list in the "cons" section just to live in an aesthetically beautiful space then this place is for you. - The rent is reasonable for the space you get -Machines with magnets (cool music venue) is walking distance Cons: - They cut corners when building this place. There are washers and dirty footprints that they polyurethaned over in the wood floor, some of the building materials are shotty, the walls are primed and not painted (you WILL scuff them when you move in), windows that don't seal completely were drilled shut as the solution (instead of fixing the window) and other various jerry-riged fixes for construction problems. If something isn't working (Air Conditioner, oven, hot water heater) Jenny will send the facilities crew to look at it first before they bring in a professional plumber or HVAC person. They try, and they are nice guys, but there have been situations where "the problem can't be fixed" and no other alternative is available so the tenant is just left to deal with the problem that they called the management to fix. If you do have a problem, expect that you will have to stay on Jenny like a hawk for anything to get done. If you don't tell them something in the hallway is broken they won't fix it. Broken glass in the hall, pet mess in the hall will stay there until you say something. - Your neighbors. For whatever reason there is a strange concentration of dirt bags at lofts 125. They leave their garbage in the hall, they don't pick up after their pets, slam their doors, park like idiots and block your car in, and blast their awful music. They are not the majority I want to make that clear and not be misleading, there are some nice people here but there are enough dirt bags here that this needs to be mentioned. -The neighborhood is pretty rough, there is a big brewery being built right down the street so hopefully that will help the neighborhood. Over the course of living here the wheels were stolen off of 4 cars and my wife's car was hit in the parking lot. The facility has cameras but they are worthless and did not catch anything on film. The wallgreens around the corner is like grand central station for crazy people, one of whom threatened to kill me when I walked past him to my car. He asked if I had a dollar well after I had passed him so I didn't respond and by the time I was sitting in my car turning the key in the ignition, he pointed at me and sliced his throat with his hand and said "If I see you again I'm gonna F*ck you up" so that's always good. - Mice (see every other yelp review) Overall: To a certain extent It's The Bucket, what do you expect? I knew someone who lived over at the Slater Mill (billed as being a nicer place to live) who had to leave her doors unlocked and put a sign in her car window that said "The doors are unlocked and there is nothing of value in the car please don't smash the window" because people kept smashing her windows to see if there was anything of value worth stealing from her car. Aside from up-ending the entire building and moving it somewhere else this place will always have neighborhood based flaws, and unless there is a regime change in the facilities management, there will always be operational flaws. read more

Unfortunately, My review was removed but I am glad to see that someone else wrote the horrors of living here. I posted a review and the detail of the headache I moved into. I just filed a claim and they never responded. I know I will never see a dime of my mon ey and from talking to other previous tenants, they are on the same page. They are crooks and I am warning anyone if you move there to not expect the worst and if you plan on leaving, use your security for last month because you will be behind the resting of us still waiting. I am outraged that these lofts are still being rented. Jenny Bogan is the worst manager and the pathetic puppet for the real crooks...Rebecca and Garfield Spencer. I'm taking time to write this because no one should have to live with and deal with the conditions and issues that are present here. Please, if you're looking for a cheap place that is gorgeous ( at first look in this case) look elsewhere! The two people that "run" this place Jenny & Aurora, should consider looking for other jobs because they're not good at this. They are clearly overwhelmed with tons of request and issues, and they choose to not care and let them pile up! At first they're very sweet and nice and are so eager to get you in and take your money, but soon after its like they don't exist, so getting in touch with them is almost impossible. The apartment itself is worth the money, but, the units are constructed in a terrible way, you can tell that they threw these units together to get people in to get a return on investment. The interior walls are NOT insulated and the brick walls are dusty and not sealed so you'll be dusting every waking moment, you'll hear everything from stomping, fighting and loud music from inconsiderate neighbors. Pretty sure that this whole building is not to code, washer/dryer hookups do not vent to the outside, just back into the bathroom as well as the exhaust fan, which vents into the ceiling, so I'm sure there is plenty of mold growing. A majority of the people who occupy this place are not at all respectful of the others who live around them, no lines are painted in the parking lots which enables people to park like complete and total idiots. A lot of people have dogs too, and often times the will be poop left in the hallway or bags of poop left outside EVERYWHERE! its vile. Trash removal is also an issue, it's always a mess outside no matter how much they clean it up. Mice are another issue here, don't let them tell you its due to previous tenants either, because that's not the issue, they just choose to not apprehend this. This is by far the downright worst place to live despite the beauty and character of the building. I wish a reputable management company would take over and bring this place up to its potential. Over all, the way business is conducted here is very shady and the current property management company "first national development" also has other properties with just about the same problems. read more

It looks like Jennifer F.'s review got taking down, hmmmm, I wonder how. Anyhoo, this place is gross, rats ,roaches, bats, oh and the occasional unexplained 3 alarm fire. They take your security, a months rent and then you find out the place is uninhabitable and you have to vacate immediately, but wait you don't get $1 back. The manager is a huge liar but she is only doing the bidding of her masters who by the way have several lawsuits on their ass and were also fined 40k by the city. If you still live there run but stay a month for free because you will never see your security. (It's probably all tied up in lawyers' fees) read more

The reason why I am writing this review today is because I feel I was "saved" by being rejected from a potential loft. Yes I was totally desperate to find a cheap rental fast so I was open minded enough to consider Pawtucket Rhode Island even though I knew it would be inconvenient for a non driver like me. I told Jenni over the phone I'd love to view a loft and that My furnishings were in storage. I told her how long I spent living in hotels here in Boston and I was tired of living in hotels with my two pets. I told her my cc score would be low and I would have been more than happy to pay extra money in advance but she wasted my time and charged me money for a credit application only to not even bother to call me the following day. I told her I was on a deadline and It was truly imperative for me to have housing soon. The other property manager seemed kind and helpful. I told him my cc score would be low because my parent's died of cancer four years ago and the hospice that my father died in did something to hurt my credit. I had unpaid bills from these medical bills and even though I provided Jenny with necessary contacts and references my good friend Gregory told me Jenny at the leasing office had not even bothered to contact him and I am going to assume that even though I was able to pay $2400 a month in the city of Chicago for a year Jenny was ignorant enough to think I was unable to afford $900 a month for her run down over priced units. The people here are heartless. They are in it for the money only and they think that rules are rules you are only a number to them so if you don't quite cut muster and you are not part of the "norm" don't waste your time here. I missed out on work to go out of my way to take a train all the way from Boston to this shitty place just to on a "tour" have Jenny get my hopes up then promptly ignore my calls and not check my other rental references. I hope Jenny faces a proper karma where she will be judged solely on her "performance" and her cc score. Don't bother visiting this site. In fact when her assistant David wanted to demonstrate how the shower head works it broke off in his hands. Its shoddy worksmanship here and there were no washers and dryers set up in the building even though the ad stated there would be a laundry room. These people are liars.
