I came to Choteau, MT from Portland, OR & the weather was cold/icy (January 2019). When I finally got to the Airbnb cabin, the power was out & there was no heat. Being that I was in such a pinch & my cell reception wasn't great, my family started searching for alternatives in the area & that accepted dogs. Deanna was one of the only places that accepted pets and I couldn't have been more pleased to have a warm house & gracious hostess that was closeby. Deanna could not be more hospitable & accepting of visitors. We arrived around 6:30pm & she offered us food and was very empathetic to the stressful day we had had. The add-on (pickle & onion) quantities were properly balanced and did not overpower the sandwich. A quiet, relaxing facility with friendly service and a good cup of coffee. A little pricy, but what isn't in today's inflationary environment. We'll be back ! In my opinion, the sandwich is one of the greatest food innovations of all time. If there was any historical justice, the Earl Of Sandwich would have been knighted, sainted, and appointed the job interviewer for all the harems in Arabia.

We have stopped in three different times with family on our 2-week visit out there and highly recommend it! I had their Charlie Russell and the Gobbler and both sandwiches were tasty! My rating of 3 stars was because of the cook. I have ordered the same steak many times and it was always cooked perfectly, thicker, and hardly any fat. I cut 2" of fat off one end, 1" off the other end, and there was fat all around the edges. The cook should have been ashamed to put that steak on a customer's plate. The house rub and cooking of the steak hid the fat from the server. I only found it when I started cutting into it. Will only go there for birthdays when there is a large discount. The acoustics are also terrible.
