Found a great place for lunch that has the focus of exemplifying the Montana food culture. Roadhouse is known for their use of local beef, 26 miles away to be exact. Along with getting their buns baked fresh from Great Harvest Bread. You can get a side salad instead at no charge but the fries are fresh cut each morning. The burger was fantastic with the right amount of spice while counterbalancing with sweet. It is stacked high so be prepared to unhinge your jaw to be able to take a bite out of it. The fries were delicious. They were the perfect crispness and had a great flavor. This place is a must try when in great falls. I have tried to get here multiple times but they do close 2 days out of the week and that always seems to be when I am in town. Finally made it and was not disappointed. I went with the lowrider burger. It had all my favorite toppings, bacon, pepper jack, avocado, red onion and house-made chipotle mayo. Love it when a burger has a bit of kick. I did however have to ask for more chipotle mayo as it was just a dab on mine. My coworker went with the PB&J burger. He really liked it, said "it's different but good and I would have it again". Also said it was a bit messy and you do walk away being sticky. They do being wet wipes at the end so you can clean up. The fries are just so so. I am not a shoe string fry person so don't get me wrong they are good just not for me. read more

Great little hole in the wall, amazing burgers and fries with a great selection of custom foods including an amazing huckleberry soda. An amazing vibe near the kitchen with great servers and the most high quality of chicken nuggets. Up for debate on the specialty roadhouse sauce, it had a very interesting taste. Typical roadhouse, nothing fancy, but oh the service and food. Best burger ever with several choices, including a bean burger for me, a vegetarian. Buns made locally and delivered daily from freshly milled whole grain flour. And did I mention the freshly cut French fries that came piping hot with Just the right amount of salt! Who-hoo! Thank you to Yelpers and Diners, Drive-ins and Dives for leading us to this fantastic joint. The little eatery in central Great Falls has an 8-person counter and about a dozen tables. The parking lot was jammed! A good sign! We needed to wait for a table, as we were there at prime time (6:15PM) with a group of 8. There is not much space to wait, as it is a little place that is appears to be an old diner that has been expanded over the years. The staff is super friendly, and the restaurant is clean. There is no alcohol, but they have beef, pork and vegetarian items. The food was quick and universally well prepared. The black bean patty was the best that I have ever had. The death by bacon burger impressed even the toughest critic in our group. The shoestring French fries were essentially the perfect preparation of a fry. We had a great dinner. They seat until closing at 7PM, but they are done then. I was super impressed by this little joint. read more

Wow! What a cool place for lunch. Love the decor! Service is fast! Yet we didn't feel rushed at all. Our server took the time to explain menu choices. The Hubbs ordered a PB&J burger with fries and I got the burger with the fried onions and bacon and a salad to balance it out (right!). These are messy burgers in the best way! We shared everything and it was all good. They use local beef and cook it right. The fries are shoestring and nice and crispy. The ranch dressing is house-made as is the many sauces available. Yelp gets credit for giving me this lead. I was skeptical when the food came. I ordered a burger and fried and it was out way fast. They knocked it out of the park. A bit overrated and way over priced. I asked for extra pickles and extra onions, and I certainly did get them. I also asked for my fries to be extra crispy, and they were. But they were very thin shoestring fries and were cold when they came out. Ask for extra napkins when you eat here, your burger will be dripping down your arm. I think this place gets an awful lot of business because of the publicity/visitors it's had. Parking is horrid...tiny spaces, and not many of them. The staff are friendly, helpful and very professional. They checked on us regularly and made sure we had all that we need to make our dining experience a pleasant one! After reading all the reviews proclaiming this the best burger in the area, my growling stomach and I stopped by the Roadhouse Diner to see for ourselves. It did not disappoint! The diner is fairly small and was very busy at lunch on a Sunday. Rather than sit at the bar alone like a complete loser, I took it to go and ate in my car. The burger was excellent and perfectly cooked. I can't say enough about the bacon on the burger! I didn't think I would like the fries, since I usually prefer a steak fry over a shoestring; I would eat these again in a second. 10 out of 10. read more

Oh my gosh.... This was so good. I had the chicken sandwich and it was so juicy. The bun wasn't soggy and the fries are heavenly. My partner had the SinCity burger and was so impressed with the flavors and the heat! The service was exceptional! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile. We are in Great Falls for a wedding. Our second day in town we came here for lunch. I had the cheeseburger with bacon and my wife had the regular hamburger. They said that their burgers are made from local grass-fed beef and their buns are freshly made each day. They also use Montana potatoes made fresh daily and cut into shoe strings. The people here are very friendly and our server did a great job. I really enjoyed my burger but my wife was less enamored. Neither of us was a big fan of the shoe string potato fries. This restaurant is very popular with the locals. I would recommend it for a good burger. read more

Oh my! I mean... OH MY! I love burgers. I can be a little picky, so it's rare when a new burger breaks into my top 5 favorites... but Roadhouse has moved into the top 3. Their fresh beef burgers are AMAZING! Every part of these burgers is perfection. The fresh bun, the heavy 1/4lb patties (I think they are closer to 1/3lb), the toppings, and the amazing fresh cut string fries that were accompanied by a great fry sauce. Absolutely an epic burger! What a fun quirky place. We saw the sign for the parking and then tried to figure out how to get into the building WRONG! The Restaurant is actualy to the north of the building by where we parked. Roadhouse Diner was an excellent choice for dinner. You know you're at the right place when the whole place is packed! I got the Winchester with chipotle Mayo and it was a really good burger. The bun was especially notable. I prefer my bacon a little more crispy so that was kind of a miss for me but that is at no fault of the restaurant. Prices are kind of high from 11-15 per person it rivals other sit burger places such as Red Robin but I don't believe that is an option in Great Falls. I had the low-rider and really liked the slightly spicy chipotle mayo that comes on it. I prefer thicker cut fries so I opted for the side salad. The lettuce was fresh though I wished there were more veggies on it and not just lettuce itself (but let's be real, who cares about salad at a burger joint?).
