Sat at counter. 100 degrees outside and this place didn't bat and eye with hot kitchen. Bite for bite absolute best burger. They pay attention to every detail. Bun fresh baked, fresh avocado and grilled mushrooms. Even the way they wrapped it was perfect to prevent stuff from slipping out. And I have not clue how the pulled off the feat of keeping it hot during the entire time I ate the burger and I am not a slow eater. Not a good burger, a GREAT burger. And definitely get the shoe string fries. Awesome experience. read more

What a GREAT little diner! Voted best burgers by everyone for years for a very good reason. Simple, straightforward menu: freshly ground burgers served any way you want them, fresh cut fries, substitute a salad - a really nice salad - for free. There are chicken and black bean sandwich options as well as sauces galore. The service was excellent! And the building was, well, very cool. Log cabin and knotty pine and log poles. I loved it all. read more

Lunch on a Thursday and it was packed. Walked in and sat at the bar. Excellent service. Immediately my server came over and explained the special and I ordered one. Home made thin shoestring fries. Excellent. Burger bun-not your typical brioche fall apart..this was soft and pillowy but held together until the last bite. Tasty burger with provolone and bacon. This place is a must when in Great Falls. Do not skip this place. read more

We wanted a good burger and, based on other yelp reviews, decided to try this place. Small restaurant with limited menu limited to burgers (beef and chicken) with little else. That was okay, though, as we wanted burgers. Hubby thought about trying the burger with widow sauce and jalapeño but decided to get the sauce for French Fries. Found the widow sauce to be hot but not with a lot of flavor. We like heat AND flavor so we were glad we opted for the regular burger. It came with grilled onions and bread and butter pickles - I am not used to sweet things on my burgers, but this combination tasted great. The bun was thicker than I like, but it tasted good. I especially liked their shoestring fries. The service was fast and the waitress was friendly. Can definitely recommend you try it! read more

Really friendly counter staff was quick to refill our drinks. Easy to understand why this place keeps winning best burger. Bacon was generous, bun was toasted to perfection, and the onions were lovingly caramelized. Will definitely come back. read more

Roadhouse Diner - Winchester Burger - American Near Me - Great Falls, Montana

Found a great place for lunch that has the focus of exemplifying the Montana food culture. Roadhouse is known for their use of local beef, 26 miles away to be exact. Along with getting their buns baked fresh from Great Harvest Bread. The atmosphere of this establishment is cozy and unfortunately the pictures of the interior doesn't do it justice. They have little pictures around the restaurant promoting their burgers as well as adding flair of certain shows and music. I had the Hillbilly Sweet-n-Spicy with a side of fries. You can get a side salad instead at no charge but the fries are fresh cut each morning. The burger was fantastic with the right amount of spice while counterbalancing with sweet. It is stacked high so be prepared to unhinge your jaw to be able to take a bite out of it. The fries were delicious. They were the perfect crispness and had a great flavor. Also they have some great swag to purchase to help remember the great meal you had there. So glad that we were able to eat here today. read more

Greasy, expensive, and not all the hoopla that it gets. It is a local dive, I get that, but I am not wasting my $$ a third time. Twice were good for me. read more

If you want a quick and delicious burger, come here. Service was pleasantly efficient, the burger was perfectly done, and the fries were delightfully salty and crisp. Huge bonus for horror movie and Supernatural fans. I had the Winchester burger, and I couldn't recommend it enough. This place is a must try when in great falls. I have tried to get here multiple times but they do close 2 days out of the week and that always seems to be when I am in town. Finally made it and was not disappointed. I went with the lowrider burger. It had all my favorite toppings, bacon, pepper jack, avocado, red onion and house-made chipotle mayo. Love it when a burger has a bit of kick. I did however have to ask for more chipotle mayo as it was just a dab on mine. My coworker went with the PB&J burger. He really liked it, said "it's different but good and I would have it again". Also said it was a bit messy and you do walk away being sticky. They do being wet wipes at the end so you can clean up. The fries are just so so. I am not a shoe string fry person so don't get me wrong they are good just not for me. read more

We just walked out because the waitress CHOSE to do dishes instead of take our order.

The burgers are always great. Love the peanut butter and jelly burger. Check out the specials, they're always creative.

Great little hole in the wall, amazing burgers and fries with a great selection of custom foods including an amazing huckleberry soda. An amazing vibe near the kitchen with great servers and the most high quality of chicken nuggets. Up for debate on the specialty roadhouse sauce, it had a very interesting taste. The bathrooms were very clean and the overall log cabin feel of the place was amazing. A great intro to Montana! Definitely a burger man's dream! Would recommend. (P.S) get the amazing shoestring fries! read more

Who-hoo! Thank you to Yelpers and Diners, Drive-ins and Dives for leading us to this fantastic joint. The little eatery in central Great Falls has an 8-person counter and about a dozen tables. The parking lot was jammed! A good sign! We needed to wait for a table, as we were there at prime time (6:15PM) with a group of 8. There is not much space to wait, as it is a little place that is appears to be an old diner that has been expanded over the years. The staff is super friendly, and the restaurant is clean. There is no alcohol, but they have beef, pork and vegetarian items. The food was quick and universally well prepared. The black bean patty was the best that I have ever had. The death by bacon burger impressed even the toughest critic in our group. The shoestring French fries were essentially the perfect preparation of a fry. We had a great dinner. They seat until closing at 7PM, but they are done then. I was super impressed by this little joint. read more

Typical roadhouse, nothing fancy, but oh the service and food. Best burger ever with several choices, including a bean burger for me, a vegetarian. Buns made locally and delivered daily from freshly milled whole grain flour. And did I mention the freshly cut French fries that came piping hot with Just the right amount of salt! No wonder Tara won on the Food network in 2017. read more

Love the smoked brisket and tangy coleslaw. Get in early or call ahead so ya'll can get it.

Wow! What a cool place for lunch. Love the decor! Service is fast! Yet we didn't feel rushed at all. Our server took the time to explain menu choices. The Hubbs ordered a PB&J burger with fries and I got the burger with the fried onions and bacon and a salad to balance it out (right!). These are messy burgers in the best way! We shared everything and it was all good. They use local beef and cook it right. The fries are shoestring and nice and crispy. The ranch dressing is house-made as is the many sauces available. We will be back. read more

Fantastic food fantastic people this place is a gem everything on the menu is good can't go wrong with a sin city burger 10 stars from me

The burgers we had (Pub and Winchester Burgers) were packed with flavor! My Pub Burger was a tasty Mushroom Swiss that has an addicting flavor! I'm not a big eater and I usually take home my leftovers but this burger was hard to bag. The diner is nestled in a neighborhood about 15 minutes from the airport. The staff are friendly, helpful and very professional. They checked on us regularly and made sure we had all that we need to make our dining experience a pleasant one! Highly recommend especially for people visiting the town! We would definitely come back and visit again! read more

A bit overrated and way over priced. I asked for extra pickles and extra onions, and I certainly did get them. I also asked for my fries to be extra crispy, and they were. But they were very thin shoestring fries and were cold when they came out. Ask for extra napkins when you eat here, your burger will be dripping down your arm. I think this place gets an awful lot of business because of the publicity/visitors it's had. Parking is horrid...tiny spaces, and not many of them. Personally, I have had better burgers at other places in Great Falls. read more

Roadhouse Diner - Burger n fries. - American Near Me - Great Falls, Montana

I was traveling recently in Montana and needed lunch before reaching destination. After reading all the reviews proclaiming this the best burger in the area, my growling stomach and I stopped by the Roadhouse Diner to see for ourselves. It did not disappoint! The diner is fairly small and was very busy at lunch on a Sunday. Rather than sit at the bar alone like a complete loser, I took it to go and ate in my car. The burger was excellent and perfectly cooked. I can't say enough about the bacon on the burger! I didn't think I would like the fries, since I usually prefer a steak fry over a shoestring; I would eat these again in a second. 10 out of 10. read more

Yelp gets credit for giving me this lead. I was skeptical when the food came. I ordered a burger and fried and it was out way fast. They knocked it out of the park. The burger was hot, fresh, and the right proportions of meat, fixings, and condiments. I did not add a thing to it. I left with a big smile and hope to come again. read more

Oh my gosh.... This was so good. I had the chicken sandwich and it was so juicy. The bun wasn't soggy and the fries are heavenly. My partner had the SinCity burger and was so impressed with the flavors and the heat! The service was exceptional! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile. Our server was full of info and was so nice. We witnessed the staff all pitch in and clean tables together. What a great place and amazing food. Would definitely recommend and will be back! read more

They seem to always be closed when we want to go. The sandwiches were great and then The Cuban disappeared. They have some good burgers but get very pricey. I am not a fan of their tiny toothpick French fries at all. Service is hit or miss and just not a very comfortable dining room. read more

Great service, with very good burgers. Always pretty crowded. Good female wait staff. Docked them one star on fries (only thin style ones). Building is like a small cabin. Beware, they're closed Mondays and Tuesdays. I particularly like the Lowrider, a single patty delight that I find pretty moist and filling. They're near north central Great Falls proper. Give them a try! read more

If you are looking for a damn good buyer this place is a must! They make their own buns and grind the meat. Every burger is served with shoestring fries or a salad. Quick spot for fresh-cut fries and house-ground beef burgers with a side of heavy metal! This is a quaint diner with low ceilings, cozy country vibes but then adorned with heavy metal style posters and flair. Limited seating but we were seated quickly on a weekday mid-afternoon. Service was lightening speed, and we had our food within 10 mins of being seated. They have very creative burger options . I went with the Lowrider and added gravy and cheese to my fries. The burger came with a spicy mayo, avocado, bacon, red onion. Tons of flavor and not to spicy for a wimp like me. read more

We are in Great Falls for a wedding. Our second day in town we came here for lunch. I had the cheeseburger with bacon and my wife had the regular hamburger. They said that their burgers are made from local grass-fed beef and their buns are freshly made each day. They also use Montana potatoes made fresh daily and cut into shoe strings. The people here are very friendly and our server did a great job. I really enjoyed my burger but my wife was less enamored. Neither of us was a big fan of the shoe string potato fries. This restaurant is very popular with the locals. I would recommend it for a good burger. read more

Oh my! I mean... OH MY! I love burgers. I can be a little picky, so it's rare when a new burger breaks into my top 5 favorites... but Roadhouse has moved into the top 3. Their fresh beef burgers are AMAZING! Every part of these burgers is perfection. The fresh bun, the heavy 1/4lb patties (I think they are closer to 1/3lb), the toppings, and the amazing fresh cut string fries that were accompanied by a great fry sauce. Absolutely an epic burger! I will be back! Great service, great food, cool atmosphere! read more
