Whilst I was waiting there was a lady having her hair coloured. The young girl(a trainee I assume?) stood in front of me and offered the lady a coffee, made her one then went upstairs in the shop, totally ignoring me. The coffee isn't the issue but to have even been asked would have been nice. The cost of that cup of coffee will mean I'll likely not return. I ran pubs, bars and hotels for years and know the impact small things like this have on customers. Made me feel like my custom wasn't very important and the amount of money you spend decides wether or not you deserve a drink while you wait. Not a great first impression on me I have to say. As I said though, the haircut itself, and the stylist, I'd have no complaint about at all but the fact that you are 'very proud of the welcoming atmosphere' and the 'friendly team', I'd say some staff training in basic customer service may be a worthwhile investment.

The trainees are supervised and checked at all stages so nothing can go wrong. People here are far too cool to smile, even when chearily asking for a weeks wages for a simple trim. Prices are insane, although they do do a good job on cuts and colours. For formal hair ie prom, wedding I found the service awful and the style had completely drooped and had to be entirely taken out within an hour!
