He washes, cuts and dries your hair (you get a mug of coffee if you are lucky also!). Attentive, unlike other places I can mention (and have mentioned in other reviews). He will do exactly as you ask but will also tell you if something doesn't suit/you'd look stupid He has a hardcore of regular clientele who've gone there for years and there's always a friendly atmosphere there. Whilst I was waiting there was a lady having her hair coloured. The young girl(a trainee I assume?) stood in front of me and offered the lady a coffee, made her one then went upstairs in the shop, totally ignoring me. The coffee isn't the issue but to have even been asked would have been nice. The cost of that cup of coffee will mean I'll likely not return. I ran pubs, bars and hotels for years and know the impact small things like this have on customers. Made me feel like my custom wasn't very important and the amount of money you spend decides wether or not you deserve a drink while you wait. Not a great first impression on me I have to say. As I said though, the haircut itself, and the stylist, I'd have no complaint about at all but the fact that you are 'very proud of the welcoming atmosphere' and the 'friendly team', I'd say some staff training in basic customer service may be a worthwhile investment.

The trainees are supervised and checked at all stages so nothing can go wrong. I have always found them happy to try their best to squeeze me in even when they are busy and I am giving them late notice. They will also do false nails and have used them before going on 2 weeks beach holiday and they were probably the best wearing nails have had done. I didn't lose one and with a bit of tlc in the last week they still looked good. Prices are very competitive.
