my husband and i are military and moved down here in jan 2014. can't say that we love much about columbus, but i can tell you that we are in love with the loft because of their exceptional food, music and overall atmosphere. we were there last friday the 16th and they had the maria gabrielle band play, which were phenomenal. they are highly recommended. enjoy them while you are passing through. read more

The Loft is my very favorite place in Columbus! The food is always great, the service is exceptional and the atmosphere is sublime! They book bands from all over to play upstairs and every time we've gone the music has been great. The Thai shrimp tacos are a great appetizer for sharing. The unstuffed chicken is a favorite of mine; but if you go to the loft, no matter what you order, you have to try the macaroni and cheese!! I'm a tough critic when it comes to Mac n cheese because my mother makes the best in the world but the mac n cheese at the loft is (almost) as good as my mother's. It's creamy and cheesy and delish! Some nights they do a comedy show upstairs (on thursdays, I think) and if you'd like to attend you'll buy a ticket and take a seat in the listening room and you're able to order drinks and food from your seat. I'm pretty sure the loft is the only place in Columbus that hosts a comedy night and I've heard some great comedians at the show. If you try the loft for dinner downstairs or up, make sure to catch some of the entertainment upstairs! It's a true gem in Columbus. read more

This was another desperate attempt to find good food in Columbus. The best dish we tried was Thai Tacos. Good texture, feel healthy, and have a nice taste when you bite into them. There was a downhill from that point on. The wings sauce was too sweet, the scallops were dipped into some sort of mixture that was reminiscent of honey filtered thru soy sauce and diesel oil...the buffalo shrimp was tiny and did not have any souse or flavor on it, the grouper was dipped in a special white cream souse that cause you to search for the tread mill. We finally recovered with the piece of the carrots cake, which was solid 3.5, and pulled Loft to 3 star rating. read more

Our favorite place in Columbus for a date night. Great food and great service. Save room for the cheesecake, it is fantastic.

The food was very good and the wait and bar staff were were great. The hostesses and dining manager were extremely unprofessional. I arrived early for a party of 4. We were informed there was a 20 to 40 minute wait. They have an app that lets you know your number on the wait list as well. After an hour I asked how much longer it would be and was informed that we were #1 on the list. As the next table was available they sat a young couple at it and I inquired I was told they were a call ahead seating party so I asked to speak to the manager who dismissed my being upset for waiting at least an hour. I asked for contact information for the owner : headquarters to be informed by the manager that she could not find it; it was not until after my party was seated that the manger gave me the information. It was obvious to me and members of my party that the hostesses were seating their friends ahead of people that were waiting on the list to be seated. From this experience I would recommend that you call ahead for a table to avoid being in the situation that I was in on 23 February 2019. Fantastic! Traveling to Columbus on business and happened upon this spot. The quality and preparation of the fish/shrimp special by far exceeded my expectations. The fish was cooked perfectly and the whole dish was well seasoned. Our group enjoyed the buffalo chicken dip and the pork belly apps. There are plenty of sides for anyone's taste. WOW. . Arrived in town, happened to stop in for dinner and the jazz began to play- the food was very good and price just as good- next day came back in for another great dinner. We will be going back to GA in July and will be stopping in for another awesome meal! Staff was excellent! :) read more

I went to The Loft on Thursday, the 700p comedy show. I am from the Washington DC area visiting my best friend. We enjoyed the comedians. We ordered the stuffed tilifa, mashed potatoes, and sautéed spinach. Enjoyed it so much that i got an order to go. WHAT THE HE.., we spent two days sick with diarrhea and vomiting. Wasted $80+. We suspect food posioning! Of course, the to go order went in the trash. NEVER AGAIN! THUMBS DOWN! Did not want to give a star at all but comedians were ok. BAD EXPERIENCE. read more

The Loft is one of our favorite casual places to eat in Columbus. They serve great-tasting food and have provided excellent service every time we've been there. The burgers are great and my personal favorite meal is the Caesar salad with Thai shrimp - amazing! They have a wide variety of options on their menu and great appetizers. We love going for lunch or dinner, and look forward to trying comedy night sometime too. read more

I went on a friday night to hear Peggy Jenkins and her band. It was awesome from the $5 cover charge to the $6 drinks. It was crowded but managable. the decor was nice grown and sexy. The crowd was mixture of ages and races. I will definetly return. Its a place for grown up. read more

I recently went to this establishment on October 27, 2012 and received horrible customer service. I traveled from Auburn, Alabama to enjoy a nice meal with a friend only to be greeted as I walked in by a server dressed in "Black Face". The entire night I was very uncomfortable,and offended by this display. My confidant and I asked to speak to management about the situation and we were told by the manager that he could not take her off of the floor to wash her face of the offensive makeup, but he would, however, have taken her off the floor if her nose was running or she had a bloody nose. I then proceeded to ask the server if there was any other way she could have portrayed her costume without applying "Black Face" and I was met with a smug remark and smile in which she stated "I could have but I didn't." I was completely disrespected by a server, and management did absolutely nothing to aid offensive behavior taking place at this establishment.The food here isn't bad but it is nothing that patrons could not get else where with an establishment that cares about the needs of its customers. This establishment needs major improvement on customer service; customer service in particular to African American patrons. This establishment does not care about the needs of it's 'ethnic' patrons. I will Never return to this establishment again,and I will make it my mission to urge all others to not dine here as well. read more
