I went to Bob's Copy Shop because it was nearby. I described my printing needs to the young woman behind the counter, and she quickly showed me how to go about getting my fliers printed up. So far so good. When she saw the flier I was going to be making copies of, she groaned a little. I asked her what was wrong. She then told me the she was from Lodi and had "had it up to here" with all these liberals in Madison. I have to assume she was including me in this group of people she'd "had it up to here" with. Her comment might sound bad, but the way she said it was weirdly sweet, and we exchanged some good-natured insults. Upon leaving the shop I had a vision of she and I getting hitched, having a brood of little ones, and living out the rest of our days yammering at each other lovingly, Carville/Matalin-style. Anyway, 3 stars. The fliers turned out fine, and I never saw that jerk again.

The place is very simple and there aren't very many copiers so I am not sure if they could handle lots of people. The place was relatively sparse, but they had what I needed. Envelopes here are very cheap. Much better than Walgreens or the Post Office (the other two places I looked). I made several copies and bought two envelopes and somehow it only added up to $1.

This was important to me because I am severely handicapped with a serious heart condition. I began ordering their products, and for a few months things went well. After a short period, I began getting the same driver every time, and noticed that he kept pushing me to accept and sign the proof of delivery in shorter and shorter periods every month. I had been asking this driver to carry the groceries from the hallway of my apt to the kitchen (a 15 ft distance) so that I could put them away and verify that my total order had been received prior to signing their form. I explained to this driver from the very beginning that I had a severe heart condition, and I know he had to notice my shortness of breath and difficulty standing as he pushed harder and harder to get out the door with his signature. At the very most, this unloading process took 2 minutes every time, and the driver received a generous tip on every delivery. In spite of all of this, I received a message from this company tonight that this driver had complained about me, and the time I needed to unload my order and verify it. They noted in this message that their order process never made a mistake, and that I should just sign the form and stop delaying their driver. Tonight, with a clear message from this company that they have no regard for their handicapped customers, I called them back and cancelled my account with them. If your are handicapped in any way, I would strongly advise avoiding Peapod.
