The average cost with some google suggests the replacement for a TXV should cost between $185 to $750. Not only are they not standing by their work, they are looking to make a quick buck even after collecting upwards of $20k from me for my air conditioners. I regret ever letting this company do new units in my home. Clearly they do not stand by their work.

I called AirCon and they came out and had it up and running in a couple of hours. Since then I have used them to install a new Lennox A/C unit, install new ductwork and for service calls. They have yet to disappoint me. They are under new management, the former general manager bought the company from the original owners. I have noticed only positive changes since then, including being more responsive to calls. All of their installers and techs that I have ever dealt with, have been top notch, courteous and knowledgeable. I award them the elusive fifth star for consistency! :)

They no longer care about the small residential customer no matter how long we've been loyal to them. Our home a/c stopped working on Wednesday. They did send out the service guy Manny who just kept saying how "we should have bought the extended warranty service contract when we bought the new system in 2020 and so even though the part is under warranty their labor is not and wanted $2800.- for 4 hours work plus the refrigerant! I asked for an itemized bill SEVERAL times and never got one because they were severely OVERPRICED. I shopped @ and got two offers- one for a thousand dollars less and one for half the price- from companies that weren't afraid to itemized their charges! Also they said it would be a week for the part. As seniors in the Texas heat that is absurd! Other companies took the extra effort and got the part in a day and installed it before our elderly bodies were melted into the walls. Remind me why they never offered a senior discount or even honored the 10%labor discount our contract said we have. Not a word. I hate to write bad reviews but this one is important for people to know if you are not a commercial contract no matter how loyal you have been they will no longer provide good customer service and will severely overcharge. What a difference when you have a contractor with proper knowledge. He determined that the coil was under warranty and has the parts, I only have to pay for labor.
