Sitting about 1,500 feet above the island on St. Peter Mountain, the place delivers one of the best views anywhere on Saint Thomas. From the overlook you're staring straight down at the famous curve of Magens Bay, with islands sprinkled across the bright blue Caribbean like someone tossed jewels across the water. But let's be honest people also come here for the banana daiquiri. They'll tell you they've served more than seven million since the drink was first made here in the 1950s... though after watching the blender go nonstop, I'm guessing the number is probably closer to ten million by now. It's a fun stop for souvenirs, a laugh, and a cold drink with a world-class view. Sure, there are other reasons to come up here but nothing beats a good daiquiri. Salute.

St. Thomas is filled with price gouging even after the hurricanes, how can people charge $3 for a bad photo of St. Thomas? I like Island in the Sun Boutique because their prices have actually decreased quite a bit. $0.50 for postcards and everything in the store was on sale. We found out that prices are not at all set. My hubby really liked this elephant décor piece and got it for a lower price than what is was going for. So don't hesitate to ask the owner for break. This store obviously survives off of the cruise ships docking at Havensight, which are slowly coming back so I think any sale to them is a deal at this point. The people that work here are really friendly are aren't pushy about buying things. The AC is off so there are some funky smells floating around from sweaty tourists, and I think that when they get it back on line again people will stick around longer and buy more things. This shop sells everything you could want or need as a souvenir from St. Thomas, one visit here and you have pretty much seen of what all the other shops are selling. It's located on the main drag along the waterfront and isn't very big inside. Parking is wherever you can find it. If it isn't busy in town you can get away with parking on the street/curb right in front as long as you don't stay in the shop too long. It has something to do with the laid back atmosphere of Esperanza. Vieques Gifts has the best T shirts and other clothing along with gifts for you and to take back to your friends at home.
