It's a fast food shop where you can grab a simple meal, a quick snack or a cup of coffee. Plenty of the locals were picking up breakfasts while we were there. I had the hot roll with sausage (only 1.30 pounds!) and even had a choice of soft or crisp roll. The shop is run by a very nice lady, but she handles the orders, cooking and payments on her own. Don't think it would ever get too crowded, but be patient and don't rush her!

The interior looked dark and rough with poor lighting and areas worn or poorly maintained, quite a surprise for a place that has not been open long. The two members of staff looked to have the energy of a pensioners in a retirement home with both staff having a poor understanding of English, than talking they where more of mumbling in a language that was hard to understand. The coffee served was really poor and the two large coffee to go that l ordered tasted more like hot milk than coffee. I usually like Costa and expected better from this place being Scotland's only drive through definitely an over rated place. Would not recommend this coffee shop, try starbucks across the road, for better drinks & service.

It's lovely to take the kids in springtime to see the lambs and calves. Most of the things you can eat in the tearoom are also available to buy and take home from the farm shop. This is a tad expensive, but the goods on sale are very nice and it's always nice to treat yourself to something a little bit special every now and again. Worth stopping for.

Although they do have some non-food sections, they concentrate mainly on their groceries, so you don't end up spending an hour browsing round stuff you don't need before you even start the shopping, as often happens in Asda! Their prices are reasonable and service is good. There's a large car park, a small restaurant/cafe and customer toilets. There's a petrol station at the entrance to the car park, and it's just across from McDonalds & KFC plus a large retail park.

We stumbled upon Fountain Cafe when looking for a cheap place for a full Scottish breakfast and it was fantastic. We ended up going something like 6-7 times. It cost under £5 for a very filling breakfast including coffee or tea. The staff were all extremely friendly, and gave me some kind advice about parenting given that I was newly pregnant and away from friends and family that year.
