Texas Roadhouse - Prime rib mashed potatoes

Went to the Texas Roadhouse on the first night of a work trip with coworkers and I was pleasantly…read moresurprised. First off they had Veteran parking which is a big plus in my book. We ordered apps and had the free buns but my absolute favorite was the fried pickles! So delicious! My steak was cooked perfectly. The potato was a bit small, but the extra mushrooms and onions on the side made up for it. My coworkers and I had a fabulous time. Our waiter was Ryan and he took great care of us!

Well, I've gotta say, above all, that I rarely eat at chain restaurants, and here I am writing a…read morereview of Texas Roadhouse because... yeah, I was impressed. From the handcut steaks in the showcase, to the incredibly delicious dinner rolls, to the steak and baked potato, I was impressed. Kiya was impressive, too, because the place was PACKED on a Sunday afternoon, and she did a great job. I need to say that the 8-oz thick-cut New York strip caught me off guard. Medium-rare was ordered, and medium-rare was received. I'd guess the steak was roughly an inch thick after cooking. Great flavor, nicely seasoned, nice char, perfectly cooked... I was impressed, especially for $21 with two sides. The baked potato was so good that I asked Kiya if I could exchange my steamed veggies (good) for another baked potato. "Of course" with a smile. The rolls? OMG... I had to get some to go. I try to be as honest as I can when writing reviews, so I'll forget it's a chain restaurant and base my review on service, food quality, presentation, cost and ambience. (Cool paintings, relaxed atmosphere.) I did not use the restroom. I drank ice water. I've gotta give this Texas Roadhouse a 4.2. Seriously. I'm trying to think of a better 8-oz thick-cut steak I've eaten, and it's impossible. Why? Twenty-one bucks is why. And the potato and rolls? 4.2. And that's saying a lot in my book.

If you saw SNS Diner from the street, you might think it's just another cozy local neighborhood…read morespot--but man, would you be missing out. We walked in expecting standard diner fare and walked out absolutely blown away. This place has that authentic, welcoming "local" feel, but the kicker is that their BBQ is legit elite. We really went for it and tried a bit of everything: The Philly Cheesesteak: Perfectly seasoned and loaded. It's hard to find a good one around here, but they nailed it. The Pastrami Burger: This was a total standout. The pastrami was tender, smoky, and paired perfectly with the burger patty. The Wings: Seriously, these are a must-try. Crispy, flavorful, and easily some of the best wings we've had in a long time. Beyond the lunch and dinner heavy hitters, they also serve up a great breakfast with some really unique options you won't find at your typical greasy spoon. Whether you're looking for a low-key spot for a morning meal or some of the best BBQ in town, highly recommend checking this place out. It's cozy, friendly, and the food is unexpectedly awesome. We'll definitely be back!

Both were very good and the sandwich came with slightly spicy tots. It was the perfect amount of food and the bar seating was comfortable. It is a Wed night at 8:30pm and it had several tables full but we were still able to be seated right away. The place is hard to find so heads up! Look up pictures of the outside so you don't walk past it! It's a beautiful, cozy spot with an upscale feel and vibe. The playlist is amazing! Whomever curated this has incredible & varied music taste and it all works together! 90's R&B, Alternative, Grunge Rock, all of it so good! The menu has sections that you choose 2-4 items from and share with your table. We tried the Mushroom flatbread, the Pot Roast sandwich, the Beet Salad and the Grilled Oysters. The Grilled Oysters were not a favorite. However, I think that's just personal preference because of the style they are prepared in. We prefer our grilled oysters to be very charred and more of a buttery flavor. These are prepared in an Asian style and and more of a soft grill than a char. Our server very graciously had a second plate served up with more of a grill to the oyster which we appreciated. The rest of the dishes were delicious. We were so full that we passed on dessert, but would definitely be back because the options were inventive and looked so tasty. A doughnut bread pudding, a bourbon brownie; yes to both please!

The chicken was a set of two battered thin breasts. Would have liked to see some spices in the batter. The waffles were very sweet. Personally I would not order again. However the skillet was bomb! Potatoes, sausage, eggs, avocado and we added ham with a side of toast. I can't wait to try other items like the breakfast burritos or burgers.

However I ordered with Steve who helped me decide which pasta I would love more. Very articulate human. I recommend asking him specifically if you can't decide. :-) The agnolotti was really unique fresh and lovely. I got a side of sourdough toast - which was Smokey and strange to me because usually that means in grilled same place as meat. They explained how it's done here and no meat grill is involved so it was actually an interesting thing. After deliberation I got the untoasted ungrilled version which was great with the butter and salt. It also actually made a lot more sense with the dish soup I can soak the sauce with the bread. I would have gotten the west of eden cocktail but had a headache. They do batch make them but in house. Not sure why but when I walked in I was told it's a 20 minute wait for a seat at the bar and then when I got sat in 5 minutes I noticed a ton of spots on the bar open and some tables as well. I tend to think it's like a "thing" to have people wait in LA too - but I don't run a restaurant so not gonna assume I know anything about that. It's Monday after EDC. It was full but not insanely loud. Quite pleasant ambiance. The experience is strong overall, though the pricing is difficult to justify. I paid $52 for a pasta dish and a side of bread after tax and tip. That is more than any Italien place I have ever went to (which are all the fancy places in LA and a few around the world). I don't think that's appropriate or called for, but obviously this place is extremely successful despite that. Just something to consider. I had no idea.

Great crispy exterior and i can honestly eat one entire portion myself! Their pizza is perfectly prepared as well, nice bouncy crust, no questions there. Well seasoned and portioned with adequate amount of toppings for each pizza. Their pasta is also very fresh, flavour profiles are as described. I would say I wasnt a huge fan of some of them, but you definitely get what is described on the menu. Service is overall good, nothing out of the ordinary but you'll definitely have a great time here. Book early because its hard to get reservations!

The moment you walk in, the vibe just gets you. It's the kind of place that feels effortlessly cool without trying too hard -- exactly what you need as an escape from the casino chaos outside. But let's talk about the real reason to visit: the food. I always find myself gravitating toward a classic burger, and Eureka! does not disappoint. We're talking a proper, stack-it-high, juices-running-down-your-hands situation. Paired with a cold, well-chosen craft beer? Absolute perfection. It's the kind of meal that makes you slow down, settle in, and remember why you fell in love with a great burger-and-beer combo in the first place. A downtown Vegas essential.
