It's an indie!!!!! Like, possibly the only indie in southwater, and it does have a bit of a chain feel about it.
However, I was impressed. When we went, it wasn't during happy hour (which they do have) with cocktails running from around £6.50 to £10 - which is fairly standard- most seem to fall at about £7.
Low, warm lighting, nice decor, candles, and most people making an effort in their attire. Plenty of tables, with high stools and squishy sofas.
They do beers, and coffees apparently, but we were there for cocktails- so that's what I can review them on!
On our table of five, we had; large Sauvignon Blanc, Pina Coladas, the rich list (comes with a scratch card pinned to it, don't you know), June bugs, aperol spritzes, clover club, bramble (the blackberry syrup comes in a syringe), chocolate caramel, bubblegum daiquiri, killer banana, the banoffee buffalo, the elixir.
Everyone liked everything that they had- Mine were the june bug, clover club and banoffee buffalo- i'm normally a gin cocktail girl, or a straight scotch drinker rather than bourbons, but that Banoffee buffalo in particular was amazing.
I'm however yet to test them on off menus.
Pleasantly surprised. read more
