We just did our annual guys's golf trip. Four of us. Just some notes on our experience. The accommodations are about what you would expect with the exception that the keys didn't really work and we had to do some interesting things to get to our rooms. It was very disappointing that the bar/restaurant does not open until 11 AM. It would have been nice to have some sort of a quick breakfast before you tee off early in the morning. We found out after we booked the stay and play that the members have priority for early teetimes. Tuesday is the owners play so you have to wait for them. And the women's group gets out in front. Not to mention, we got bumped back on our tee time because a group just walked up and teed off in front of us. Then the starter shoved a twosome in front of us. We were supposed to play 36 holes that day and we only played 27. But we found out later in the day talking to some other stay and play groups, they had teetimes at 7:30 and 8 AM. Otherwise the course is pretty fun. Great shape. There's some offsite restaurants and sports bars that are not far they were fun. Probably won't go back. But just beware. read more

Always on the lookout to improve all aspects of our annual charity golf tournament, we decided to host the 6th Annual Support Sheldon Memorial Golf Tournament at Links at Land's End. It turned out to be the right choice. It's not just because of the spectacular views of the water while playing the meticulously maintained course, or the amenities of having an on-site kitchen and fully stocked bar, or lodging for stay & play tournaments, or a separate pavilion for hosting events and functions. Instead, what really sets this establishment​ apart is the exceptional staff and service they provide. We were assisted at every possible opportunity to set up and prep before the tournament, as well as ensuring that the event ran smoothly. They even went the extra mile by judging and choosing the winner of the Ugly Pants contest!!! We will be anxiously looking forward to working with them again for next year's tournament. Even if you don't make it out for the Support Sheldon Memorial Golf Tournament, I encourage you to visit this amazing, top rated golf course. You will not be disappointed. read more

Huy and his staff are always a pleasure to talk to and work with to facilitate our annual buddies golf trip. I can't say enough about the head honcho Huy and his entire staff; they've been awesome to us over the years we've been coming to their facility. The course, food & lodges are always right on!! Great food including my favorite, Catfish as well as the Prime Rib for dinner on the weekends top off a great day on the links. Don't forget to read the chalk board as there are always specials of the day. There are many great golf holes, views of the lake and fabulous homes I wished I owned. This is a great hidden gem & I'm surprised it doesn't get the recognition as other top rated Stay & Play facilities in Texas. This place gets my vote! read more

When it comes to clubhouse fare the Links really has it all figured out. The specials are usually worth a go as Chef Johnny enjoys mixing it up a bit. The salads are always good if you feel like avoiding the fried foods or you can go for the burger or the chicken fried steak... mm.. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! They usually have a fish special on the weekends that I never pass up. Service is always friendly and they make you feel at home. Also a fantastic Happy Hour with half price appetizers and $1 beers... 4-6PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. read more

Taste of East Texas I was one of many people who was at this event , I must say variety was a option thru out ,though no one went above and beyond with there choice of what to cook ,as your team did with prime rib I opted out of the sauce and had just the prime rib excellent cooked to prefection, congratulations on the win read more

Happy to have found this hidden gem! Was looking forward to finding someplace that had prime rib and a neighbor recommended the Links at Lands End. Thought we would check it out, not knowing if there was a dress code. They were very welcoming, even though we were casually dressed. We were 45 min early for the prime rib to be ready, however the waitress Alex, and the chef accommodated our ignorance and took our order anyway. Alex's recommendations for the calamari appetizer was spot on! I ordered the prime rib with asparagus and mushrooms (not in the menu) and my husband order the steamed salmon, asparagus and loaded baked potato with a side of shrimp. The food was excellent not over or undercooked, which is challenging with asparagus. We enjoyed everything about our visit and plan to return agin soon! read more

This is a wonderful place for a lunch where you can have plenty of delicious options and enjoy the view and golf ambiance. The waitress staff is exceptionally friendly and the beer is always frosty cold! It's very enjoyable to have dinner with friends at a local place with tablecloth's and great food! read more

This place had been a favorite for our group to stay and play for a while (7 total stays in the past 4 years). In the spring we noticed a much colder reception from the staff and were even told the course was "getting away from stay and play packages to focus on the locals". The cost has gone up a little each time. Our most recent attempt to book was met with a huge price hike and continued cold reception from the pro shop. This place is no longer worth it. The course was average-to-above average, but not something to drive 2 hours from DFW to play. The ONLY thing that kept us coming back was the friendly service and lodge for hanging out after the round with the group. The friendly service is gone and the lodge is getting expensive while they are allowing it to fall apart. The course continues to deteriorate as well. Instead of this now over-priced, out-of-the-way place we are going onto Airbnb to rent a house and then play multiple courses around the rental. This way we get the "lodge" but are then not stuck with one course. We also aren't stuck 35-45 minutes from a decent dinner like being out at Lake Fork. Three or four years ago I would have rated this place a 5 and over-looked the lack luster location. Now it's not close with the more than double fee, course maintenance issues, lodge getting old with no updates or maintenance, and staff that told our group they didn't focus on us. read more

Get facility, staff and golf course. My group has held a Fall golf outing here for the past 3 years. Love how their lodges are setup with the central tv area which allow the guys to hang out & watch football games together. Only downside is not too many options in the area for food and their restaurant has limited hours. read more

This is truly a gem in Texas. Upscale golf resort in middle of nowhere. The golf course is great, the cabins are awesome, the food is great but above all the people are what make this place special. The employees and also the members are all friendly and awesome people. My friends and I go there every year and we would go back every year as long as we can. read more

Great food at a reasonable price. I had the spinach salad with chicken strips tonight. It had thin sliced apple, blue cheese chunks, crisp bacon and nuts. I like the vinagarette dressing but left off the creamy blue cheese. read more

I have been playing this golf course for over 10 years. It is always in great shape. The office and restaurant staff are amazing. The food is amazing as well. The accommodations are great and have a big common room with a large TV. This is a east Texas GEM. read more

Played this course for the first time and all the reviews i read about it are right on course. This is a very nice course to play and will be back again. The gps scoring is nice and really helped out on the distances played. Staff are great and very helpful. I only have one thing bad to say about it, and that was how to get there. Boy, we had a time finding it and if it weren't for some good directions may have never found it. We took several pictures of the course and the awesome views of lake fork that are just wonderful. To have the funds to put a house there would work for me. *** I highly recommend this place if you get out that way, well worth the drive! read more
