Always on the lookout to improve all aspects of our annual charity golf tournament, we decided to host the 6th Annual Support Sheldon Memorial Golf Tournament at Links at Land's End. It turned out to be the right choice. It's not just because of the spectacular views of the water while playing the meticulously maintained course, or the amenities of having an on-site kitchen and fully stocked bar, or lodging for stay & play tournaments, or a separate pavilion for hosting events and functions. Instead, what really sets this establishment apart is the exceptional staff and service they provide. We were assisted at every possible opportunity to set up and prep before the tournament, as well as ensuring that the event ran smoothly. They even went the extra mile by judging and choosing the winner of the Ugly Pants contest!!! We will be anxiously looking forward to working with them again for next year's tournament. Even if you don't make it out for the Support Sheldon Memorial Golf Tournament, I encourage you to visit this amazing, top rated golf course. You will not be disappointed.

The golf course is great, the cabins are awesome, the food is great but above all the people are what make this place special.

The younger guy that helped us at the front desk was so nice and walked us through the process of this course as it was our first time playing here. The only downside we had here was the older gentlemen in the clubhouse house was pretty rude when we told him we called for a tee time. He immediately snapped at us and said "no you didn't" the younger gentlemen helped us as he was the one who took the initial call. Also, the cart girls were friendly, but one of them was extremely intoxicated, and took over 20 mins to make 2 drinks out on the course, as she had to ask 5 or 6 times what we wanted again. She drove away with open juice bottles and empty cans flying off of her cart. It was semi funny, but not extremely professional. Overall the course was nice and I would definitely play here again.

Played Tempest on Wednesday and Thursday. Absolutely a great golf course. Only issue were the traps…read morewere hard and there was hardly any sand in them. If this course had good sand traps or a lot fewer sand traps, it would be a 10 on a scale of 10. Staff wasn't overly friendly and a smile on their faces would have improved things. Also, the drop off was very unusual and staff at the drop off didn't seem to want to help us with putting clubs in cart or doing things without having to be asked. Very strange even though we tipped them anyway.

Don't be fooled by the Website or any of the award winning reviews. This is not what we would call…read moreaward winning. Maybe at one time it may have been. We came in the early 2000's when it first opened and it was very nice. On the website it has a video of the New Club House, well it's not there. They still have the temporary club house they had when they opened in 2001. Don't believe any of the pictures or YouTube videos about the course. The course is in OK shape but nowhere near a $100.00 course. We paid $95 for the senior rate and then were told if we wanted to go right back out and play another 18, it would be half of the regular rate!!! The course has mostly dirt cart paths and it is no longer manicured like we remembered. The worst part about the whole experience was what they call the "condominiums". Not even close. More like 1970's apartments. Furniture was some ridiculous futon type seating. Beds were horrible and the mattresses were sunk in the middle. No stove, no Full Size Refrigerator (small mini fridge), No pots, no pans, no plates, no glasses or utensils. Bathroom toilets were horrible. Toilet seats were peeling and they were the old oval shape seats and very low to the ground. It is very obvious that there has been ZERO upgrades and even good upkeep to this property since they opened in 2001. One good example; the front door knob put a hole in the wall and just patched the hole and left it with the white patch and didn't even texture it or paint it, just left it like that. The outside grills were not cleaned and they left some prongs and spatulas out on the grills dirty from whoever used it last. I know you may be tempted because of the website or some OLD reviews but DON'T DO IT!!!
