Track is ok. Range balls could use some updating.

The reason why I give this business a 2 star is not because of the course or facilities but because…read moreof the staff and the way we were treated. I will start at the beginning when I called to schedule a tea time. I called 5 days in advance and made sure that the person I was speaking to understood and that it was clear, out of the 4 people golfing 2 of them had never golfed before. My son and his girlfriend flew in from California and we went for our tea time. We again reminded them two of us had never golfed before. They never said a word or gave us any suggestions etc. for having new people. We started out on the first hole and immediately decided we would just play off best ball. Before we even got to the green (approximately 5-10 minutes after starting) an employee rolled up to us and asked us to allow the next group to play through. We said absolutely because we expected that considering the circumstances. another 10 minutes went by and the employee came up to us again and then about 45 minutes into the time he came again. At this point we said we don't mind if people need to pass us up and then they said well we prefer that y'all just go back to the office and they will refund you your money. WHAT!?!?! What kind of service is this. How are people supposed to learn how to play golf if you can't even get to hole 4, but we were only playing for an hour. I was one of the first time players and I was particularly feeling rushed, discouraged and just completely turned off by the way this was handled. Why would they schedule tea times just a few minutes in-between each group.? How do people learn if they are kicked off because they don't golf fast enough? Why was this employee coming up to us to asked us for others behind us to play through. My husband and son are golfers and never have they even been approached by course staff to ask for other golfers to play through and they have played at many courses in California. Golfers talk to other golfers in regards to this. I am super sad, I was embarrassed in front of my guests because this just didn't feel like East Texas hospitality, it actually felt like something you would feel in California though this has never been experienced at any course my son and husband have played at in California before. It's obvious that they overbook. Also when has golf ever been about playing through fast? Anyways, I hope the owners of this course read this post and can explain to me why we would be treated this way. In my opinion you lost potential/future customers because I really want to learn to be able to play with my husband and son in the future. At this time we will chose to go to another course.

This course is horrible and terrible service, I only use the driving range here, greens are Half…read moredead and fairways don't drain at all.
