The only thing the same is the original rink. An arcade room was added, there are pool tables, fooze-ball, and air hockey. You can also order snack foods (soft pretzels, nachos, soft drinks, etc...). Party areas have also been added. The place is SOOOO much better than it once was and my kids LOVE to go! Prices aren't bad at all. Going here is a fun, cheap way to entertain your kids for an entire day! Tiring them out so they'll go to bed early, sleep all night, and sleep late the next morning is just an added bonus. LOL! ;)

The Knockers originally rolled at the old House of Wheels Skating Rink off of Barksdale Blvd in Bossier City. There, people, rinkheads, rollerheads, whatever they may be, would load up large toting coolers full of canned beer, for these matches then, were a BYOB sitch, and they would also use their own coolers multi-purpose also for seating around the track, as they all watched the ladies roll around crashing and colliding into one another. Now, the Knockers call the Bossier Civic Center their home rink. It seems much more suitable, larger, more spacious and comfortable. Although there is no BYOB in this facility. The ladies still bring it, that is, they still bring their inner beast. And they bring it with funny monikers for themselves. Matches are $15 at the door.

Kids were running, yes I wrote running, out on the floor chasing each other, playing tag, taking each other's hats or belongings and playing keep away. They would dodge in and out of people who were wearing skates. The kids would skate in the wrong direction and go head on with others, strangers included. Kids would be wrestling with each other, some even had skates on. There were no employees monitoring the rink floor. Someone in the snack bar would occasionally announce on the intercom to "stop running on the floor". That obviously worked so well. All that chaos aside, the music was so boring. Slow, boring country songs. When we made a song request of a clean pop song, the employee just appeared annoyed. Our request hadn't been played. The chaos became too much and we left, with a refund. I truly hope the owner takes our concerns under advisement and makes some changes because their business is a lawsuit waiting to happen.
