    Ice cream choices are great

This is beautiful local spot that is freshly opened and I already can tell I will be coming here often. First of all it's an extremely welcoming atmosphere and the owner is a sweetheart! Second thing you notice is how cute and cozy the cafe is inside. You can sit at the bar, at the table; outside or in the cozy living room style chairs. Now I let's talk about huge menu AND the best cold brew in the area (it brews for 20! Whole hours). Truly delicious and I am a coffee maniac so if you have a good coffee - I will become your local! My lil bean had a hotdog and some rainbow sherbet ice cream and I had a tuna salad sandwich and an amazing mocha flavored cold brew. 10 out of 10. Absolutely will be back as I already spotted menu items that I absolutely must try!

    Tuna salad sandwich

Great little restaurant with phenomenal sandwiches. I had the Grown Man and my wife had the tuna salad. Very fresh food and friendly folks. Highly recommend.

It's a seat yourself restaurant with outdoor seating accommodations as well. There was a bit of confusion as we had multiple servers coming up for our order but it wasn't an issue. The vanilla latte was really good even though it's not necessarily a coffee spot. It was beautiful out this morning so it was comfortable. I got two eggs, hash browns with sausage. Typical breakfast meal; nothing over the top but decent. My husband got a breakfast wrap which honestly was better than mine. All in all for two breakfast and drinks was about forty bucks which isn't surprising. I am not sure if I would stop in again for breakfast but would be a good quiet spot to grab a coffee and study or read a book.

Village Cafe is located in a plaza with other businesses, including medical offices, other restaurants and bars. Upon entering, my husband and I stood there for a moment not knowing if we should seat ourselves as we were greeted by no one other than stares from other patrons. We walked up to the counter and were greeted after staff were done discussing incoming food orders. We were then welcomed to seat ourselves. There were various tables - either with two or four chairs - indoors as well as outside. We chose to sit inside. The decor was minimal and there were several flat screened TV's on the wall playing a church service while a Top 40 radio station was playing in the background. The chairs were really uncomfortable (metal) and the table we were sat at had peeling brown paint that was covering wood. Our server was friendly and was able to tell us the specials. My husband ordered a grilled roast beef sandwich on a hoagie roll and I ordered a breakfast special and added a side of cheesy scrambled eggs to my order. We both agreed that our dishes lacked seasoning and my pancakes were a little tough. Luckily, I was full before I got to the bottom pancake, which was burned, and before the restaurant grew any warmer inside.

The ambiance was inviting, stylish, and felt like the perfect setting for a weekend experience with friends. The food overall was good. The shrimp and grits were definitely the highlight for me full of flavor and well done. The steak, however, wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the mark. The fruit bowl was exactly that fruit in a bowl nothing special but fresh. The banana pudding was delicious and a sweet way to end the meal. The service was a bit inconsistent, which I believe was due to the waitress being very busy. There were a few moments where we waited longer than expected for menus, straws, or even water. While noticeable, it didn't completely take away from the experience and felt more like a staffing issue than a lack of care. Overall, I would absolutely return for brunch with friends. The atmosphere alone makes it worth another visit, and with the right company, it's a great spot to enjoy a relaxed and beautiful brunch experience.

For appetizers, we tried the coconut shrimp, Table tots, spinach dip, and charcuterie. Everything was fantastic except the shrimp, which were a bit overcooked. The rest of the starters were flavorful and well prepared. Most of our group ordered the NY strip since they were out of the filet, while others chose the meatloaf, mushroom pasta, and a few other dishes. Portions were generous and the food was tasty. While the strip wasn't the best I've had, it was cooked perfectly. Dessert was a bit hit or miss. We tried all the pies -- most were decent and nicely presented, though nothing stood out. The salted caramel cheesecake had a grainy texture rather than being smooth. Service was friendly, but a little rushed. Courses came out too quickly, making it hard to enjoy each one before the next arrived. The table became crowded with plates, and the pace felt chaotic at times. The server was kind and seemed possibly overwhelmed. Overall, a good meal with solid food, but pacing and a few execution details could use some attention.

Reservations very strongly recommended, we didn't do that. Quoted a 45 minute wait but seated in about 20. Service was outstanding, even given the fact that the other members of my party are rank Philistines. Bartender, server, chef, runners, literally everyone was as impeccable as anyone has ever uttered the words "impeccable service." The food was very, very good. I had a salad with ahi that had exactly the right proportions of every ingredient. Everyone else loved their entrees, however which I won't get into since the menu changes frequently. Scratch kitchens like this make what they can with what they get, and this one is shining example of how good that can be. Dessert was one of the best slices of cheesecake I've ever had, and a gelato flight with some insane flavor profiles. It was, in a word, outstanding. 4 (extremely good) martinis, app, two entrees, two dessert, clocked at a reasonable $140 pre-tip. Go here and eat a succulent meal. Worth every cent.

About 20 years ago, my sister told me about this place cause she worked across the street from it…read moreand she went there almost every day. Even though time and time again I wanted to go I just never pulled it for one reason or another. But the other day I went and I have to tell you. Wow , if you want a good southern meal with southern hospitality a country kitchen feel like your Mama's homemade cooking. Filled with love in flavor. This is a place to go. My sweet man had their meatloaf plate more food than you can shake a stick at. It was delicious full of flavor and perfectly ,perfectly balanced .Their mashed potatoes ,Remind me of my mom's. They are made the way mashed potatoes are supposed to taste. The meatloaf perfect ,the fried okra just absolutely amazing and the ranch dressing to dip the okra in better than bottled . Then I just had the simple soup ,simple soup my foot .I had their potato soup and the Angel ( I think I remember her saying her name was Chrissy ) who made it , well I have to tell you. I believe when you sit down to a meal, you begin to enjoy it by the aroma of the flavors in the dish this soup when it was placed in front of me teased my pallet just from the aroma with the first bite I knew I was tasting perfection. It wasn't over seasoned. It wasn't under seasoned it hit every point on the flavor scale simple but delicious and extremely satisfying. It filled my stomach and my heart with warmth ,flavor and satisfaction. Now let's talk about the service we were greeted with kindness and a smile each server that we spoke to did more with a smile and a kind word and making our experience worth coming to the restaurant. The prices are reasonable large amount of food you get .The staff is amazing.. The ambience is very country very homie. It just makes you smile. The only thing I have to warn you about is if you are handicap and you are in a wheelchair, the bathrooms not so easy to maneuver. I had to leave my walker outside the bathroom to go into the bathroom, but they make up for it with having handrails for you to support yourself which compensates for the size of the bathroom. so just be prepared for that if you're a handicapped. Coming to this restaurant the only thing I'm sorry about is that it took me 20 years to get here but trust me I will be a regular from now on. The cooking the ambience and the people reminded me of home and what I grew up with perfect experience all the way around.
