Trying to decide if it is too generous. We've shopped here a bit over the years and this time was…read moreless than satisfying. Their communication is horrible. We ordered a couple lights. One did not match the other and it cost us $125 to return it. We bought a replacement for the return for less than the fee to return the original. Nobody should be charging fees to return things like that. Then the cabinets, though we love how they look were quite a pain. We went into order them and the original lady that we talk to was on vacation so the other lady was gonna come measure. She talked to the original lady and wouldn't come because the original lady wanted to do it. I guess because she wanted the commission to herself I don't know which delayed us by a week we were told we could rush the order and probably get it in 3 to 4 cause it usually takes five weeks when the order is finally submitted, they quoted seven weeks they pulled that in to five weeks, but measured wrong, which took a couple weeks to rebuild the cabinet. So the original five weeks has really been closer to 10 weeks when all is said and done. We never got status updates. I kept having to contact them. They really could work on their customer service. I also have since found that I could've had the cabinets custom made for about half the price.

On our first visit Don introduced himself to us and then let us go about looking at all the cabinets. We came back several times and each time Don checked in with us and answered questions. Don was patient, knowledgeable, and professional. After we ordered the cabinets, Don touched base with us to let us know how the order was going, when they arrived and set up delivery date. He made this experience easy for us. Thank you Don! We will be going back to look at lighting!

Alpine electric was selected by our contractor for all electrical in our home and security. It has…read morebeen a nightmare working with Alpine Electric for over 2 years. Their contracts are just a couple of sentences and any discussion of either what was on the electrical plan or what we wanted to add cost us significantly more. They forgot to put in a light in a dark hallway and to 'fix it' they want another $400. Even though, in theory, the contract should have been covered, they interpret everything and turn it into a debate. We asked for a more detailed contract and they refused. Now we know why. For the last month we have been having our fire alarm go off four different times from midnight to 3:00 or 4:00 a.m. with an inability to turn it off. They are unreachable when it happens because it's not during normal work hours and the monitoring service that we pay for only has an answering machine number for Alpine Electric. They have been out every Monday after each of these horrific incidences and each time they have said it is completely fixed. Guaranteed it won't happen again. Today, it is going off every hour almost on the hour. Again this morning they said it's fixed. They leave and right on schedule, it goes off again. Our neighbors are rightfully angry. Our guests have not gotten sleep. We have some friends who will not come back for a visit. We call them after it's gone off every hour for the last 4 hours and they have said they are now out of town and won't be able to do anything until Monday. We need to deal with it now. In addition, our lights did not work correctly for the first month after we moved in. Had to turn some lights off at the fuse box. For the Control 4 'scenes' we don't have access to do simple things like dimming the lights when you turn them on. They also installed our doorbell ring which didn't actually ring for a good 3 months. Now it rings with both of our phones going off every time someone's at the door and we don't have simple access to the app to stop that. It also does not store videos of the front door which is frustrating when we have issues. I wish we could say zero Stars.

Scheduled a rewire on my house. I was told 10 days. Had to move my cat and to a hotel for 10 days…read more In fact they made the reservation. What the hell, scheduling a job with the electricians having a class on Thursday and then a 3 day weekend. I have to vacate the hotel on Wednesday 5/27. Went home to water my plants, the house is not even halfway done. I am so angry, but can't even think straight. Spoke with Caitlyn on the phone. I feel like there was a lot of miscommunication on their part. She promised me that my bedroom and bathroom would be done in time for me to check out of the hotel on the 27th. I will update my review after the job is finished. Misled, misinformed, lied to. I will be reporting this to the Nevada State Contractors Board. If you need an outlet or ceiling fan installed, fine. But for anything else, I do not recommend. Don't promise something if you can't complete the job. The owner just replied to this review. I'm tired of excuses. You "estimator knew everything about the house from the get go. He said "yeah we can do it". Maybe you need a new estimator Jesse. I'm tired of excuses. Oh, and another thing. NOT ONCE has anyone contacted me about the progress of the job, totally unprofessional.
