We have been to the light show 6 years in a row. They always give first responders discounts. My kids and I really enjoy the lights. This year they had a different set up that we really loved.

Spring location Hurricane Harbor parking lot. I would give 0 stars but it doesn't let me.! Worst experience went for the first time took the family and mid way into the lights it cuts off then to top it off they come and tell us to go back to the tent that we will get a refund and we go and get in line mind you there was a bunch of cars waiting to get it because no one notified them the light park shut off and others waiting for the refund no one would come to inform us while we were in line it was chaos after because we were just stuck there not moving at all no other exit to go thru this was so unprofessional not well organized for issues like this I emailed them Sunday night still no response about my refund.!

    Half way through still LIT!!!

Great way to end your night with kids. Simple and merry entertainment for all ages. There's all the Christmas classics plus some remixes and mash ups. My party of 9 (infant, preteens and adults) enjoyed every minute of the festivities. I think it took us 40 minutes from entrance to exit includes the wait time. I suggest pre-paying for all the goodies online before arriving.

Coordinated with the music on 90.7

Why 3 stars? Because it was a decent activity for our 3 year old. --- --- --- As I say in many of my non-food reviews, most things we do these days are solely based on the entertainment of our toddler. We reserved a 6:30 spot and things didn't start great, as we weren't actually inside the park until about 6:50 due to a backup of, I guess you'd call, it, traffic? Once inside, it was pretty entertaining. I did not expect everything to be synced up so perfectly with the music like it was. When we first entered the grounds, there were signs to put your radio on (I think) 89.9 FM. Whatever was on that station was some really annoying voice acting that we could only listen to for a couple of minutes. But once we got to the actual light park, we switched to 90.7, which consisted of some upbeat, remixed Christmas music. It was all nicely done. But for $40 and the wait in the beginning, I don't know that we would need to make an annual tradition. And while our 3 year old was somewhat interested, it might be better for older kids.

It was a good experience, but I personally would not go back. To drive around festivities took less than 20 min, pretty simple show, good addition to show was to have glasses on. We went after Christmas so wait time was zero. Quick and easy from beginning to the end of the show.

First time here, right before thanksgiving so it was fairly empty. Easy drive throughout the park, had a radio station to listen to Christmas songs, overall a very nice light show. Our toddler loved it, we even got some popcorn & soda to snack on while we drove through. I now understand why it's $40, so much work gets put into it! I bet that light bill is high. Also, great customer service at front! Were dancing and very friendly!

I initially thought I paid $45 for what shows a 60-90 minute light show experience on the website. Truthfully I think it took us roughly 15 mins to drive through the entire park. And that is counting us stopping to scan our ticket. I feel like I need my money back but I will accept it and learn from it. I think it's a cute experience for kids and I do appreciate the work that was put into this park. However, I believe people are getting overcharged for this experience. I'm sure it shows 60-90 mins bc of how packed the park gets over the holidays, but that also tells me that tickets are not sold appropriately to a designated time to eliminate these long lines. This leads to FLASE ADVERTISING on the length of time the experience is for the price. Please add more! Or some sort of perk for visitors. OR make this experience a fair $15 deal... For every minute it takes to actually drive through this park. P.S My jaw dropped at the end of the park drive thru there was a sign at the exit where it says you can pay an EXTRA $15 for an Encore drive thru. LOL stop. My Karen almost came out.

Drove 45 minutes one way from/ to home, waited another 45 minutes to get in, the light show was about 15 minutes, let's do the math....hmmm just not worth it, I would say. My little one seemed to have enjoyed the light show though, so it was not a total loss. Merry Christmas y'all!!

Irate. Disappointing. Not worth $40 per car, and very misleading and pointless information on their website. IMO, NOT WORTH THE DRIVE for a mediocre 20 minute light show that doesn't even play real Christmas music. The website clearly states "we recommend getting here early to beat the lines." Well, my family arrived around 4:55, waited until 5:20, and that's when they opened the gate and allowed us in. My sister was two cars ahead of us, car #3 at the very front, and we were #5, and there's a pre marked trail to follow that eventually leads into several different lanes. Apparently, the lanes mean nothing, because despite being one of the first ones to arrive and be in the car line, we somehow were directed to the second lane rather than the first lane closest to the entrance. Then, instead of allowing the cars who arrived first to be released into the light park, the attendants decided to allow the first lane of cars through before our lane. As a result, all the cars that arrived early and waited in line for the intention of being able to go in first were not able to do so due to poor organization and lack of communication between the attendants. Poorly organized, rude customer service, and an all around epic fail. We attempted to ask one the attendants directing traffic, why the other lane was allowed to go before us, and he was completely un-interested in helping us, he seemed confused and responded with an "IDK" response. He also said that he did not have a walkie talkie to communicate with the other staff. We pulled up a little further and spoke with a manager that was also there, and rather than being apologetic about the issue, she argued with us and then proceeded to tell us to hurry up and move along because we were holding up traffic (cars behind us) and that we're only wasting our time for the light show. The manager was rude and unapologetic. Horrible experience, and I highly recommend that no one support this Christmas light park show. Basically, going there early is pointless.

First off, do not try to compare SW to a massive festival...because it isn't one. I've gone and danced to my heart's content with hundreds of thousands at a massive before, and here, at SW, I've danced the weekend away with thousands. It's completely different. If you take it for what it is though, SW is legit and I could not have asked for a better experience from a smaller scale festival. I've heard that the festival has gotten better and better every year. Let's recap the deets from this year: -Perfectly sized venue!! The race park was small enough to where it only took about 5 min to get from stage to stage but big enough to where you ALWAYS had room to dance, sit, or wander without being crowded. The crowd was respectful of personal space, and this always makes a world of a difference! -Security lines getting through depend on what time you arrive. On day 1, we got there around 4:30, and it probably took about 30 min to get through. Day 2 was more lax and only took about 10 min. General rule of thumb: the earlier you arrive, the less the wait. -Cleanest port-a-potties I've seen anywhere! -3 stages with stacked lineups. P.S. Shout out and a big thank you from yours truly for the TRANCE STAGE! ANDREW RAYEL BLEW MY MIND. I digress. -18+ and they swipe IDs. I'd prefer 21+ but let's be realistic- that's not happening for the sake of ticket sales. It was mostly a 20something crowd, but I saw people of all ages. At one point, I was dancing next to a 50 or 60something year old. -Quick, free water filling stations. -Quick alcohol and food lines. -Beautiful lighting and lasers at night. I especially loved how the all the trees lit up! -The only two things that I can think of that SW could improve upon is adding more Halloween themed decorations and lighting up the port-a-potty areas at night so that it's not pitch black when you go inside. I came to Something Wicked with some of my TomorrowWorld family and my group started out with a little over a handful of people. Throughout the weekend, I danced, skipped, and hi-fived my way from stage to stage and met new friends along the way. By the end of Sunday night, I was participating in a group hug of about 20 people as we said our "until next times."

It will cost you $12 to park. The good thing about the parking is it was super organized so even though there were long lines of cars trying to park, the lines were moving; and once I had paid, the attendees directed me where to go and it took me less than a minute to park. Before you can enter the Grand Chapiteau, you have to go through your typical security measure. There are no metal detectors but they will look inside your purse if you have one. I was here with my sister and she didn't have a purse so we didn't even get checked. She did have a jacket on her but they didn't check it. This means you could sneak in your own snacks/drinks should you be inclined to. Why would one be inclined to sneak in their own snacks/drinks? Well, a bottled water/soda will run you $5. Nachos will run you $10. A Cotton candy will run you $8. Hot dog will run you $7. You see where I'm going with this? If you're coming here with your family (kids, wife, girlfriend, whatever), then you be better be ready to be dropping some $$$$. As for the show, it's your typical CDS stage/seating. You have the round stage with the seats surrounding them. I was lucky enough to get good seats to the right side and three rows from the stage so I was able to see everything clearly. If you opt to sit toward the back, some times you can't even see the faces of the performers clearly. The show started at eight on the dot. Some of the performances are pretty typical CDS where it would amaze you what a human body can do with training (contortionist, balancing act, juggling). Some of the other acts were more creative (invisible circus, finger dancing, animal impression). One act in particular was a combination of both where you have this dude playing yo-yo in the middle of the stage, but holy cow, he could control them yo-yos like they were a part of his body. I felt like he should have been competing in international yo-yo championship or something. All in all, I was happy with the show. This was also my sister's first Cirque Du Soleil and so everything was brand new to her and she was thoroughly impressed with the performances. CDS is always a fun event to go to and I definitely will go to whatever other Cirque Du Soleil shows that would make a stop in Houston.

Parking was plentiful since it was a huge lot. The venue itself is quite big - multiple floors and wide in length. There were lots of tables with individual monitors with horse races streaming from different regions of the U.S, along with lots of TVs by the food court area. Plenty of people just watching the different races streamed on the TV happily. Betting takes place on the kiosks spread throughout the building. There's a variety of methods to bet, but easily thing to do is take a picture of the screen and have ChatGPT explain it to you lol since it's a lot of information to digest if you're a first timer. Betting is minimum $2 to start. The nachos were cheap and filling - $10 for a spread shared among two people. Plenty of cheap food available. Now for the actual racing, there was a lot of seating (albeit, they were not labeled). We actually sat in the paid, reserved seating with the TV monitors (which was quite nice, since you could see the camera following the horses racing outside on the track up close), until we were kicked out since we could show the ticket narc our tickets. We relocated to a different seating area next to it, and again after a few rounds, we were ticket-checked again and had to move. Finally, we discovered the free seating, which is at the very end on the left side of the building, with the auditorium-like seats (furthest from the fancy restaurant they have). It wasn't terrible, and we spent most of the time at the paid seating anyways. Would recommend better signage because as newbies to the horse racing venue, we didn't know any better. A lot of friend groups, families, singles, all gathered to watch the horse racing, and TBH, I got pretty into it once I started betting (rabbit hole?), so it was quite fun. There was even a hat contest that was cute to watch! I'd come back! It was a unique way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
