Why didn't anybody tell me about this place? I've lived close to Humble for a while now, and I had no idea about this beauty. It's so nice, at over 120 years old. It's been a school of every kind in the Humble ISD. But not anymore. I'm not sure when the change happened. When it did, they went all out--decked the halls, for real. Watch the videos. Also, it's not that big. You can truly get the back corner seat, and you will love whatever show you go to see. I can't wait to go back. read more
This is a terrific venue for live music. The restored school auditorium is lovely and comfortable, with excellent lighting and sound. No food or bar but a terrific place to listen to music. We have gone twice and both times were excellent. read more
I must admit, I went to the Charles Bender performance arts center for a Christmas function, and not to view a live performance. However, I was somewhat surprised to see this beautiful facility in downtown humble. It's as classy on the outside as it is on inside. I had a look at the auditorium. The stage, and the seating looks like it's capable of putting on most any performance you'd like. I look forward to the day when I go back, and actually view one of those performances. read more
