The Life Lounge sounds kind of cool, but rather than this dominating the café's exterior, it's "All Nations Church" that's emblazoned in huge writing on the sign above the window. And that is because the café is part of the church organisation. Personally, I find that a bit intimidating - I'm just not sure what I'm going to find inside, and I'd rather find an alternative that's not linked to a church. If you're curious about what the church is all about, however, the café would be a good starting point.
It serves a choice of baguettes and paninis with fillings ranging from classic tuna mayo and chicken tikka to meatball-stuffed baguettes and breakfast paninis. There are hot and cold drinks, including lattes and espressos with or without flavoured syrups, and a choice of teas and cakes.
If you prefer to steer clear of religion, however, it's not the place to stop in for a snack - although staff here won't start trying to convert you, you can't avoid being faced by the mass of posters and leaflets relating to the church, its beliefs, and its activities. read more
