We moved in a few months ago, and so far we love it. To be fair, we came from a really awful building in Hells Kitchen. So it's a matter of perspective.
Apartment - The apartments here have very unique finishes in various tones of black and grey. It's not for everyone, but we love it. There were many maintenance issues when we moved in (various broken items) but maintenance was great about fixing everything over a few weeks.
Amenities - The roof deck is great. There's a small gym that's sufficient for a quick workout. There's also a small outdoor area on the ground floor which I've used a few times. Each floor has its own break out room though I have never seen them used.
Front Desk/Staff - The staff here is fantastic. There's a full time cleaning person who is constantly at work in common areas. The garbage areas are cleaned daily. And the front desk people will learn your name and greet you, and they're incredibly friendly.
Location - This is where the building loses a star. The Lincoln Tunnel is noisy. Honking is non-stop for about 4 hours a day. Yes, it's bad. No, the windows will not drown out the sound of honking during rush out, regardless of what they tell you when you tour the apartment. It's loud. I agree with the other review on this point. It could drive people away. The area also has an issue with homelessness, panhandlers, and occasional tents sprouting up around the building. read more
