We recently sold our first home with the assistance of Skip & Renee, the same house they helped us buy about a decade ago. Both the buying and selling experience were great. They really know what they're doing! It was amazing how much stuff they were able to take care of for us, finding contractors to do work, consulting with designers to stage the home, and handling a lot of the little things we needed to do to to get ready, even while we were away on vacation. When it came time to list the home, we had lots of good offers within a single week, and I believe this is in no small part due to the suggestions and guidance they gave to make our house as appealing as possible. While we did have to pay some money up front to remodel, with new carpet, paint, landscaping, and other maintenance, we got it all back and more when we sold for a price well above what I was hoping to get. We listened to their advice, and it totally paid off! Just like the other reviewers have said, they will help you add value to your home. When we bought our second home, they didn't serve the area where we were house hunting, but they referred us to another realtor that did, and that was also a great experience. OMG, where do I begin? Skip and Renee have surely climbed to the top of the ballot for "nicest people on the planet." I can't imagine buying a home any other way than having the wisdom and guidance of The Levy Team. What started as a simple phone call to Renee ended up as me owning a beautiful home on a gigantic lot for a very fair price in the area. Trust me when I say they have super powers; they'll certainly give Superman a run for his money. Renee and Skip Levy were my agents for the sale of my 1st property and I seriously cannot say enough great things about them as people and as agents. Not only did we receive an offer for my condo, in Downtown Mountain View, the first day of open house / viewing but the offer was way above asking, a short sale (less than a month) and without contingencies. All of which was important to my husband and me, since we were planning to reinvest in a new property. The reason for our property selling so quickly, was because I listened and took the advise of Renee & Skip. I owned a unit in an older property and it really did need a little work and some love. I was hesitant at firsts to put too much effort and money into the property but we came to an agreement on what to fix and for a nominal price. When we finally found "the house" (our one and only offer), we were able to close within 20 days thanks to all the pre-work they had us do and the collaboration between our mortgage providers, the seller agents and Skip. We can second Nikki A's review. Skip and Renee are very knowledgeable about real estate , and they know what they're talking about. To prepare for our open house, they asked us to remove furniture and knick knacks to make the rooms look larger and help potential buyers to picture themselves living there. We resisted at first because we loved our decor, but Renee said people would be looking at our furniture and knick knacks instead of the house, and that made sense, so we did as they suggested. They convinced us to price our home no higher than similar homes in the neighborhood in order to pull in more potential buyers. They were right about that as well. Our home sold quickly for even more money than we had hoped. They handled the sale professionally, and even helped us with some of the details of moving. Selling a house that you've loved, lived in for a long time, and raised your family, is a very emotional experience. I can't think of anyone who could have guided us through this with more support, compassion, and business sense than Renee and Skip Levy!! There was nothing that we needed to do to the house that they didn't help with or have a terrific person or company to handle. They began months ahead by having their stager come and recommend things to do, and everything she suggested was right on point. As lovely as our garden has been for us, it looks the best it ever has. Our home which was very stylized to our taste was transformed respecting out style but making it a home that people could imagine their own style in. The daunting paperwork was very manageable because Skip and Renee sat with us to fill it all out. They arranged all of the inspections and were here to go through every one with each inspector. My wife has known the Levy's for decades and when we were looking for a home we knew just who to call. They work very well as a team with Skip keeping to the technical details while Renee working on everything else. While it did take several months of looking with them, we finally saw a home that we were very interested in trying to purchase. It was our first bid. It was in a very competitive location and was expected to go way above listed price. Our bid was competitive but not the highest. Due to their airtight contract and their reputation for closing on time, the seller decided to go with our bid instead of another bid that was $50k above ours. We got our dream home with our first bid which in this market is just nuts. That was almost 2 years ago. We just recently sold our prior townhouse which we were temporarily using as a rental with them. They walked us through the entire process.
