    Guava gose beer
    Jeff C.

I liked it. Had a good time here. Came in for their monthly City Pop (Japanese 70s & 80s music) night. Apparently it's on the 4th Thursday night of the month. The DJ played some great, classic tunes on vinyl. Inside is stylish with a decent amount of seating and a dancefloor area. Drinks were good. Tasty cocktails and a small selection of beer. Really liked the guava gose beer. They have a few happy hour drink specials until 9pm. Apparently they also have a live jazz night. Will definitely be coming back. Check their IG and website for upcoming events. Service was great. Friendly staff. Located right next to De La Nonna. So it's a good option for after dinner drinks or add to your next Arts District bar crawl. There's street parking but you might have to walk a block or two. Might be easier to get a pay lot nearby.

First off...me and my dude happened to unknowingly walk into this amazing place! We went on 12/26/2025 our last Friday of 2025 date night!! No cover charge, no long lines, no ridiculous door security, easy peasy simple show ID and you're in! The moment I heard the disco music I danced in the vibe was so chill, folks of great taste in music, social vibes with dance floor open and available with dancing going on!! The drinks were well worth the 15.00 you can taste the greatness yet feel the affect of the alcohol! Before we left I had to let the beautiful woman who accompanied the DJ, didn't quite remember her name but did mentioned they were there every 4th Friday....we will definitely be back soon It's a chill place away from the overly packed venues that are surrounding DTLA YOULL LOVE IT

This bar was cute! Not very packed for a Friday night which was nice, however the music wasn't very disco which is what's advertised. I think I would've enjoyed this place more if the music was more upbeat. There was no cover charge and the line for drinks was almost non existent. Bathrooms are way behind the building down a hallway and they're very clean and big. Might stop by a second time to get a better feel.

Drinks were stronggg and quite tasty. We also got an aperol spritz and disco ball, which were also yummy. The spritz did, however, taste a bit perfume-y. Vibes are great for a girls night out--I felt safe inside. I also accidentally dropped my ring, and the bartender helped me get it hehe. I would come back again with more of my friends

I'm coming from OC and I've been across the street to eighty two and I was happy to know this spot was right across so I could hit up both. Since it was new years and no cover charge I was so stocked to go. The wait felt long but I think because midnight was approaching quickly. I made it in just in time. The wait at the bar was not bad and the bartender that attended me was very quick and friendly. I loved the vibe and the music was a mix of everything. They even handed out free champagne to toast! I'm only really bummed out they closed shortly after midnight. I wasn't expecting such an abrupt ending on New Year's Eve. Maybe I would go again if I happen to be in the area but not for New Year's Eve.

Cute intimate bar located directly next to De La Nonna (same owner). The offer made fresh drinks vs De La Nonna are batch made. The drinks at both places are well made. For a Thursday night it had a good amount of people in there, and they have a live dj that started at 9. A cute little place for post dinner drinks!

This was definitely a cool vibe. Seemed pretty hipster as far as the crowd. The drinks were good, music could have more of a variety but I enjoyed the time we spent here. Definitely want to come back and try the restaurant that is connected to the bar. Very cute decor inside, it was quite small and it was fairly packed when we arrived. It is dimly lit as well.

I don't know what everyone was expecting from a trendy little spot with great drinks other than a long line on a weekend night, but I absolutely adored this place! It's a swanky little bar tucked away in the Arts District that you'd never know was there if you were just quickly strolling by. My boyfriend and I came on a Wednesday night with absolutely zero line and no wait time whatsoever - which **pro tip for pretty much every cool LA bar which I didn't think I needed to say and was pretty obvious but come on an off time if you're not wanting to deal with a long wait** I definitely thought it was worth it. Their drinks are really unique with yummy infusions of flavors, such as their Tokyo Snow which was my favorite. It's a cold, sake forward cocktail with notes or cantaloupe and served in the cutest Japanese cup that I thought was so delightfully refreshing! The DAQ attack was also really good if you like a tangy, sweeter drink that had notes of kiwi and rums! The setup of the bar was fun with the neon lights, lounge seating, and DJ stand as well. I'd go back here!

Absolutely beautiful! Love how it's connected to another beautiful restaurant, so you can eat there then come here to drink and dance the night away This place is so dreamy and the drinks are priced surprisingly good! $5 beers wow The bartenders were awesome and their style was so cool, reminded me of Freddy mercury or something lol Absolutely amazing vibes, when I am downtown again i will for sure be coming back

Had a wonderful time at the let's go this past weekend. I love Los Angeles and the arts district. I've been to the arts district a handful of times, but mostly during the day. With that being said, I've looked forward to checking out this hot new spot and the nearby nightlife for some time. My fiancé is a huge disco fan, and was elated with all the disco decor and the great retro music! There was the perfect mixture of dancing and space on the dance floor. Also, the bar was attentive and speedy with their cocktails! I was also pleased to make some new friends there as well! I had a great time and look forward to coming back soon!

This spot opened about a year ago, and has a cool speakeasy style entrance at the Highland Park Bowl bowling alley. It is a small space, and I would highly recommend making a reservation on Resy. You have 90 minutes to drink and dine. I parked behind the bowling alley where there is a medium sized pay parking lot. Park in a space, remember your space number painted on the ground, and go to the pay station at the end of the lot. I found the parking machine to be extremely finicky as did other people. After ten minutes of failure, I ended up moving my car to another space, and then it worked. This has nothing to do with the Lucky Tiki, but FYI if you park there. We walked around to the front of the bowling alley, and checked in. Seating options include at the bar, tiki hut booths, and high top tables. The décor inside is a tiki lovers paradise. The room has a high ceiling with many tiki lamps, floats, puffer fish, tiki huts, thatch, ropes, barrels, netting, carvings, a hanging canoe, and a large tiki right in the middle of the space. In addition to the great décor, when you order certain drinks, special effects are triggered. There was also great tiki music playing all evening. We sat at the bar since we always enjoy talking to the bartenders. We actually ran into Skipper Christian in the parking lot on the way in, and he ended up being our main bartender, with Nick and Jo also working behind the bar. We put in a food order right away. The chicken potstickers ($12) came with five tasty bites, and the garlic teriyaki dipping sauce was good. We also had the giant pretzel ($16) which comes with mustard, beer cheese, and ranch sauces. This was excellent, and the perfect filling snack before a bunch of drinks. My first drink was the Siren's Song (Flor de Cana Eco rum, lemon juice, cassis, Oloroso sherry, apricot foam topper, $19). This drink is served in a great mermaid with skull mug and triggers special sound effects and bubbles fill the air. Those bubbles on top of the drink had a great light citrusy apricot flavor, probably the best flavored bubbles I've ever had. The drink itself was very good and balanced with some complexity. She wasn't sure what to order at first, and Christian asked her what flavors she liked. He ended up making a spin on a Tradewinds with some mango and pineapple to go along with the apricot and coconut. It was nicely balanced and not too sweet, even with all that fruit in there. My second drink was the Sun of Suns (Tierra de Acre mezcal, coconut cream, Giffard mango liqueur, pineapple juice, lime juice, $17). This was coconut and pineapple forward with some good smokiness in the background. Her second drink was the Whatever Floats Your Boat (Ford's gin, lemon juice, velvet falernum, orgeat, passion fruit syrup, guava soda, topped with hazelnut passion fruit foam, $19). It is served in a cool boat mug, and triggers thunder sound effects and lighted mechanical Polynesian tiki characters paddling a canoe over the bar. This was another good balanced drink. It was a little gin forward and the passion fruit popped out, maybe from being both in the drink and the foam top. That creamy hazelnut passion fruit form on top is delicious. I'd happily have a glass of that on its own. We were still a little hungry so we ordered the Hawaiian pizza (marinara, diced pepperoni, red onion, pineapple chunks, hot capicola ham, $16). It was another good tasting, perfectly sized snack, and the crust was light and airy. We were already fifteen minutes over our time limit, but we got the green light to stay longer to order a third drink to share. We ordered the Tiki Diablo (Flor de Cana Eco rum, Worthy Park 109 rum, Alma Tepecha chile liqueur, orange juice, lime juice, mango syrup, guava soda, $24). This drink serves two people, is served in a cool volcano bowl with glowing red lava around it, and comes with a fire show. Unfortunately, right after it was served, the host came over and said we were over our time and had to leave shortly. Christian made up for it by giving us two tall pours to go enjoy in the bowling alley bar area which was fine. We were happy we got some extra time inside. The drink was also very good, balanced with a little complexity. We had a great time. There is so much great décor to look at. The drinks and food were very good, and some of the the drink presentations and special effects were the icing on the cake. All of the bartenders were very friendly and a lot of fun. We purchased up a few zombie glasses to take home as a souvenir. I'd definitely recommend visiting the Lucky Tiki in Highland Park!

I was instantly so glad we chose this spot to celebrate our anniversary because it was the perfect setting for a romantic date night. Now, let's talk about the food! Everything we ordered was delicious, with the exception of the Korean aguachiles, which we probably could've skipped. We also tried the bluefin bibimbap, oysters, and the oh-so-tender short rib that practically melted in our mouths. But the most unforgettable dish was also the simplest: the Korean fried chicken. It wasn't necessarily something out of the ordinary, but it sure tasted like it. The perfect crisp, flavor, and seasoning had us eating every last piece right down to the bone. Our server also made the experience even better. She gave us some of the best recommendations and were incredibly attentive and friendly throughout the entire meal. We decided to get a drink to celebrate Father's Day, only to strike out at the first two bars we tried--I guess a lot of places are closed at 9:30 on a Sunday. This is how we ended up at Thunderbolt, a buzzy bar in Echo Park, just far enough away that we'd never made our way over. I loved it immediately. Thunderbolt has the friendly, comfortable atmosphere of a neighborhood bar and the hip aesthetic and high-level cocktails of a millennial boozer destination. (Not that young people can't or shouldn't hang out here, but it seems especially geared toward people like us, who drank at Walker Inn a decade ago.) We ended up sitting next to a guy who regularly drives up from Palos Verdes. I guess the place gets pretty busy, but it was ideal on a Sunday night. Happening but not crowded, with just enough space at the bar for us to grab two seats together. The bartender was great, super helpful and welcoming. He also made excellent drinks. Thunderbolt is one of those bars with an encyclopedic illustrated book for a menu. Not a long menu, just a detailed one, with a lot of information available about each drink. We got a Liquid Picnic and a Barcelonnette--just one round to close out the weekend. Both were delicious. The Liquid Picnic was a smooth, savory gin martini made with London dry gin, tomato, citron, vermouth, rosemary, and black pepper. I learned from the book that it used clarified tomato water. (There was also further reading about the clarification process.) The Barcelonnette was a mezcal sour with Suze, passionfruit, and lime, the foam made without egg white through some geeky mixologist process. Thunderbolt is not our neighborhood bar, but we plan to go back when we can to check out the rest of the menu. It's a wonderful place, well worth a jaunt on the freeway.
