Eh, pretty lacking for a Lego store. Commonly out of stock of sets and very cramped. Makes it even worse when the employees they have are in everyone's way. Kenwood stores are pretty small in general so i don't blame them for it. Just very overwhelming. read more

If you are in to Legos like my grandson, this is the store for you. They have everything. I bought my grandson something for his birthday.

You have to wait in line to go in, but they have minifigure building and wonderful displays for such a small space. They've always had everything I am looking for at the same competitive prices as other commercial retailers. read more

We are from Minnesota visiting family in Ohio and my oldest son picked out a perfect gift for his sisters Birthday at this store. We are a little biased toward our favorite Lego store at the Mall of America but this small Lego store did not disappoint. Great selection and we were impressed with their Star Wars collection - better than the MOA. read more

I shopped here on Saturday for some items for my grandson for Christmas. It was super crowded so I'll go back during the week to do some more shopping. It's a small store and you won't find many great deals or a large variety, but you will find Lego items there that you don't find at the big box stores. Also, there's a small area with loose Legos for the children to play while their parents shop. That's a great idea! The customer service is excellent. Friendly and patient when dealing with a packed store and a lot of children running around the tiny store. read more

This is a nice, standard Lego store. There are tables for kids (or the kids at heart,) to build at. I like that they have both Lego and Duplo tables. There are many items that are not available at other retailers such as Toys R Us, Walmart or Meijer. Apart from exclusive sets, Magnets, cups and key chains are some of the other Lego store only items. Excellent customer service. The employees are very helpful without being pushy. I like that they don't only speak/ interact with the adults, but help the children too. The gentleman who helped me did a great job of explaining the Lego Club to me, as well as some of the other in-store events. Via the Lego website, then store locator, a calendar of events for the current and next month may be found. An employee will also give you a copy in store if you ask. Unfortunately, they are lacking some of the cool builds. While they do have display windows with built sets, I have been to other stores with a life sized giraffe, Darth Vader, Woody, The Hulk, or have 4 foot tall Hobbit characters or other Disney characters, all made exclusively from Lego. It's not the store's fault. I think Lego should put at least one in all of their stores. Both of my children love Lego. While they are impressed with the life sized builds, they are also happy to be in the store. My daughter asked me to take her picture next to a 4.5 ft cardboard Minifigure cutout. She didn't know who the character was, but that didn't stop her from liking it. My son was at school, but was over the moon when I told him about the Lego Club. read more

Okay, so I've heard that the LEGO stores in other, fancier cities are bigger and more fantastic but since I'm not a connoisseur of fine LEGO establishments, I was not disappointed. The displays are delightful and the selection is decent. However, it was the customer service that won me over. In fact, I marvel at the genuine friendliness of their employees despite (what could be considered by others) somewhat creepy behavior on my part. I straight up stalked this place for two hours during the Wednesday before Christmas waiting somewhat patiently for their delivery to arrive so that I could get my dirty hippie hands on a VW Camper Van LEGO set for my dirty hippie husband. To no avail. Now, this is the part where I should have left the store, dejected and empty-handed, right? No way. One exceptionally helpful and upbeat young lady, named Teri, gave me the customer service number as well as some extremely helpful advice which resulted in FREE delivery of a VW Camper Van LEGO set to my door. She also gave me a little personalized coupon worth 10% off my next LEGO store purchase. All this and it was the week of Christmas. Teri could have been as frazzled and harried and, consequently, unhelpful as anyone might expect of a LEGO store employee during the busiest time of the year. But she wasn't. And instead of feeling like a Who who had just been robbed of her last can of Who Hash, I left the LEGO store feeling as though my heart grew three sizes that day. Have a little mall shopping to do and need a place to ditch your male companions? Huzzah! The Lego Store! I was expecting this place to be crawling with small children, but it was actually pretty tame. A few parents with kids in tow, acting responsibly in a store. More so, this place was filled with adult customers. The displays of the Death Star and Millennium Falcon in the front window drew us in. Sets of Legos lined the walls with everything from simple 250 piece sets to epic 7,500+ piece sets (like the Death Star.) Little pods neighboring the kits show the assembled product. There are even custom made Legos, where a community group assembled and idea from parts collected from miscellaneous sets. One of these was the Steampunk Ship, which featured mystical gears and and historical gadgets, all from random Lego sets. I also noticed a section of the store dedicated to girl's Legos: small, pink houses with horses and shopping. All of these were 250 pieces or less. Not very challenging or creative, in my opinion. If you're shopping for Legos for a little girl, just buy her one of the regular Lego sets, like architecture. I really admired the Tower Bridge Legos, where you can build a model of the London landmark. My friends and I thought of getting a set to build for the night's activity; unfortunately, Lego prices are much higher than in our youth. Small, basic sets run about $30.00. The epic 7,500+ piece sets: a whopping $280.00! read more

I always make the drive from downtown to Kenwood when needing to get presents at the Lego store. Way more options than Target or any other big box store has. For this reason is why I drive out there. My little brother loves Legos, and I have yet to get him any legos he already has. I think that's due to the giant selection of unique Legos that I have to choose from at this store. I think this is a good place for a gift not only if you're getting gifts for kids, but for anyone. They have all the big giant crazy Star Wars sets, and they have even Simpsons legos. They also have Lego-based merchandise, like a keychain that are Lego people and flashlights in them. read more

OK, this used to be our favorite place for shopping for Legos, so we were super-excited to come back after the mall reopened following the COVID-19 closure. Wow. How do I describe this experience? Something half-way between a prison and a circus? There's a yellow square in the middle of the floor, far removed from the actual shelves. You, the customer, aren't allowed to get near the shelves or to touch the boxes. The associate will get you the one you are looking at. So I guess they are that worried that by touching a Lego box for 10 seconds someone will leave enough virus on it that someone else will get sick? Then why stop there? How do I know the associates aren't sick and maybe just don't know it yet? Why not sanitize every Lego box after every touch? Where do you stop? Adding to the stupidity of the situation is that this arrangement makes the entire 1/3 of the store behind the counter completely inaccesible to view and therefore purchase. So. Now you can look but not touch. That's not a store. That's a museum. The monumental absurdity of this, when one can freely examine Lego boxes anywhere else - from Target to the actual Legoland Big Store - is mind-boggling. As I don't reward stupid, I don't intend on ever shopping here again. read more

This store has a wonderful selection even though it was a smaller store and the staff was very attentive to all of the customers in there. The prices are about the same as you'd find anywhere else, maybe a percent or two higher. The store was clean, well stocked, and inviting. There were interactive displays for the children to interact with. My Son's Make a Wish experience was a LEGO shopping spree at this store, and they went out of their way to make this one of the best days of my son's life. Ok I got the brand new Legos after a few days great I got the new Ninjago legacy stuff it is very good priced

I experienced wonderful customer service here! The holidays can be a stressful and annoying time for retail workers, but the folks at the Lego Store don't let it get them down! I came in to buy a Duplo set for my nephew. I picked out a Mickey Mouse train. The gentleman at the check out was very nice and gave me a gift receipt so I could return the toy if needed. I left the store and told my sister what I had bought for my nephew. She informed me that he already had that Duplo set. Oh no! I rushed back to the Lego store and told the girl working on the floor about my situation. Not only did she explain the exchange process to me, but she helped me pick out another Duplo set. I chose the Jurassic Park set and it ended up being cheaper than the one I had originally purchased. I had the same gentleman help ring me out again and he was able to process the refund directly to my credit card. The folks who work here are WONDERFUL and will make your holiday shopping less stressful! read more

Such an awesome place! Not only do they sell the traditional Lego boxes sets, but they also sell individual pieces. Grab the container size of your choice and fill it up for a flat price. My husband loves this area (although claims to love it for our kids) because he can build several custom vehicles using the pieces available. For $10, you can build three custom lego characters. I personally find that to be awesome. For Christmas we made our son a Lego character for every member of the family, which was a blast! The staff is always really friendly and extremely knowledgable. It's obvious they have a real passion for Legos. Make a large enough purchase and they'll toss in a little freebie. My kids think that's awesome! read more

Yup worth the drive from Kentucky... They have all the good sets. But they also have just basic pieces if you want to go all Master Builder. We were greeted by a very friendly Daniel and were able to get a great DR Who set ((I'm raising my kids right) At check out I mentioned that it was my sons birthday and we got an extra gift and a birthday card signed by everyone in the store. Chelsea and Terri at the check out were very friendly and we had a good visit. read more

Walked in here to kill time. My son was attracted by the displays and then completely entertained by the small building area set up for children. I was amazed at how much Lego has expanded their product line. Beyond cool. I was a little disappointed to see that Lego has gone the way of so many other toy makers...let's make Lego's for girls, and make them pink, oh, and make them about princesses and houses. Ummm...pass. When I was a kid, there were just legos, and I built all kinds of crazy stuff with my dad and sisters. Also, when did legos get so crazy expensive? But all that is hardly this store's fault. We spent time in the store, me eyeing all the cool sets, my son playing with the mini lego station. Around me I was amazed at how helpful all the staff people were. Some even seemed to personally know customers, as in their customers were repeat offenders. I have to say, I don't think we'll be plunking down any change for legos just yet, my son is too small, but it doesn't hurt to look, at least, until my son figures out that we *could* buy these things and take them home... read more
