We had a great experience *virtually* touring the site. Anna was very friendly and thorough during a time when we weren't able to meet with her easily in person. We had a follow-up tour on site and we got to see the school and I was so impressed to see all the teachers interacting with the kids. I remember seeing one teacher with two or three kiddos on her lap reading a book. I just loved seeing that unexpected sweet moment. You could really see that the kids trust and love their teachers. Our daughter was a little over 1 year old when she started and both she and I had some big emotions around starting a new daycare. Right off the bat, we appreciated the transparency and communication throughout the day. I know when my child has an "off" day and I love seeing photos of her interacting with the teachers and kids throughout the day. Their program infuses a lot of diverse learning opportunities and languages. I really can tell my child is loved at her school! I feel very grateful.

The director had 0 leeway on this policy and you can imagine how heartbreaking it is to be out this money as a brand new family. The school's focus on profit and lack of empathy reassured us that we made the right decision. Shame on us for not communicating sooner and shame on them for profiting off new families trying to navigate the daycare system. The director offered a credit but we will not be sending our daughter somewhere that focuses more on money than the wellbeing of our family and child.

My son started attending when he was 4 years old, and now at 11, he still returns whenever he is on school break or his school is closed and La Petite is open. My daughter also attended from about 1 to 3 years old. My children are children of color, and throughout all of these years, not once have my children complained to me about being treated differently because of their race. I have always felt comfortable leaving my children in the care of the teachers and staff, and I trust La Petite Academy with my children. Ms. Jodie has been a wonderful director to our family. She has been caring, professional, and dedicated to the children and families for many years. I know that no school or childcare experience is going to be exactly the same for every family, but I can only speak from my own experience--and ours has been a positive one. After nearly 10 years of being connected to this school, I continue to feel comfortable bringing my children there. That level of trust as a parent means a lot to me. It is reasonably priced and offers lunch and snacks daily. It is such a lifesaver to not have to pack meals each day. Victory's teachers are great and they are great at listening to the input from the parents. In addition to the daycare aspect, kids can stay at Victory through Kindergarten. We love the balance between the kids learning traditional skills like sounds, alphabet and numbers, but they Also learn manners, values and valuable life skills. There are also opportunities to add on art and computer classes for an additional fee.

Victory at Montessori has multiple big rooms for the kids to be active in when the temperature is not good to be outside. Every week they do a bike day, water day and a sports day. My son does have a speech impediment which we are working on. Almost no one outside of the family understands him; however, Miss Jasmine at Victory at Montessori can understand most of what he says and I feel that has gone a long way making him feel comfortable, safe and happy here. Prior to finding The Academy ECE of Westminster, my husband and I had visited at least half a dozen…read moredifferent daycare centers for our toddler, from big to small, from national chains to independently and locally owned and operated. We did not have a good impression of any of them. If they weren't cramped, dark, and musty, then they were stark, cold, and sterile. And then there was The Academy ECE of Westminster. The moment we walked through the door, we knew this place was it: the school exuded a family vibe that was both warm and welcoming. In particular, it felt like a school and not an institution, and that was important to us. We thought our little boy would flourish here and he did---he and his little brother! During our older boy's three years at the school before he started Kindergarten, he had made friends with almost every staff member and teacher, all of whom knew him by name and would stop to chat with him at drop-off and pick-up. Our younger boy (almost-three-nager) is now half way through his second year here. At drop-off, he plays peek-a-boo and hide-n-seek with his teachers. At pick-up, he gives them hugs, high-fives, and fist-bumps before happily skipping down the hall. As parents, what more do we ask for, knowing there are patient, kind, and ever so caring teachers who look after and bond with our children day in and day out? The school staff and teachers here love what they do and it shows. In return, we trust them with our most precious: our children. Management wise, it is worth noting that when we started sending our older boy here in the spring of 2019, the school was still a locally, privately, and independently owned and operated facility. However, since March 2021, it was acquired by a national management entity called Endeavor Schools. To Endeavor Schools' credit, they did successfully retain the school's original feel, that warm and welcoming family vibe that won us over to begin with. Most importantly, they have kept the same staff and teachers, the school's heart and soul in our humble opinion. As parents and as long-time clients, we can only hope that Endeavor Schools will continue to value the dedicated team they have here at The Academy ECE of Westminster. We just hit one and a half years here, so I thought I'd write a review to counter the extremely…read morenegative (albeit old) experience someone had. That doesn't sound like our experience at all. We moved to the area in August 2017 and toured three local daycares. The first we toured was more expensive, and classrooms had a very rigid curriculum where I felt like my son would be living under quarantine. The second was cheap but felt more like Lord of the Flies - total chaos, I was exhausted after being there for 15 minutes. Academy ECE hit a good balance in the middle - a good daily schedule but with plenty of free play time while moving between a classroom, the gym, the computer room, a moving space, and an outdoor playground. Staff seemed very friendly, classrooms looked fun but organized, so we enrolled. Fast forward to now - we're very happy with our choice. My son has a lot of friends in class, he brings home artwork, alphabet worksheets, and stories about his friends every day. We're attending birthday parties with other parents every other weekend. He's learning a lot. He participates in some really cool activities while at school (piano lessons, soccer buddies, art, and dance) which really takes a burden off of us for having to arrange those things outside of our daily 9-5, so our evenings can be free to hang out with him and have fun. When I drop him off every morning, his friends are yelling his name and greeting him with hugs at the door, it's great. He's happy and we're happy. I'm sorry another Yelper had such a negative experience, but ask yourself - if someone else's child has behavioral issues around your child, do you want it ignored? Or do you want a school who will work on it, contact the parents, use a process to address the issues? I feel like my son is safe, having fun, and learning here, and that's what is important to me.

My son has been going here since he was 12 weeks old. He is now almost 6 mos old. When I drop him off in the morning, he giggles and smiles at the teachers. He always seems happy when I pick him up. I love that they write out a little log of what he did all day long. The teachers seems to absolutely love babies and have taught me things about infant care. I look forward to him growing up at the school. The kids in the older classrooms seem so happy every day. They literally run into the school with huge smiles on their faces. I love that they have a curriculum and teach the kids about science, art and music. The kids also seem to learn great social skills and how to work and play in groups. I am so happy we found a place where I know my son is safe, happy, and learning. Of course, I miss him when I am at work, and look so forward to my days at home with him, but I also can relax when I am at work knowing he is loved by his teachers.

My experience trying to get my daughter (one year) into the Goddard School could not have been…read moreworse. Three weeks prior to her expected start date, I called the school asking if they had openings with the toddler classroom. They did, and when they asked what days she would be attending, I asked if they could do a variable three days throughout the week. This is due to the fact that my wife works three days a week as a nurse, but her days aren't set. The school responded that they could accommodate this. The following week, I went in for the tour. During the interview, I again mentioned that we would need the variable scheduling, and was again reassured that they could make it work. We then toured the facility. The facility is fine, and the teachers seemed fine. The toddler room's floor was a little dirty, and the kids were all running around with runny noses... but it is a toddler room with 10 kids, so it is about what I would expect. At this point I was excited to enroll my daughter, and was told that they had some other families looking at the spot in the classroom. My wife and I decided quickly, and by the next morning we had given the Goddard School signed paperwork, and a check for their 'non-refundable' deposit and payment for the first week of care. A few days later, my wife also went in to the school for a tour, and was again told they could accommodate the schedule, although the Director (Marissa) was beginning to grow a little wishy washy about having our daughter attend on Fridays. Still, we felt good, and began filling out the paperwork and purchasing the items that the school requested (lunchbox, bottles, crib sheets, shoes, etc.). We also began migrating our daughter onto their schedule (one nap a day, no bottles, etc.). Finally, on a Saturday night, two days before my daughter is expected to begin at the school, we receive an email from Marissa, the Director, that some of their current families changed their schedule and would no longer be able to have our daughter attend their school. There was no mention of returning our money. Yes, after a three week process of five or six separate reassurances, after we paid and visited twice, after we stopped looking at other schools and canceled our previous childcare arrangements, and only two days prior to when we were supposed to begin, sent with an email to us on the weekend with no one to speak to.... we were told to go pound sand. So, can I recommend the Goddard School? Of course not, because the sheer administrative incompetence, horrible customer service, unprofessional communication and second class treatment never allowed my family to see the school we paid to see. I hope that the teachers and the curriculum are great for you if you try to enroll your child here, but be forewarned that it could be your family that is hung out to dry in the future.

There has been great staff retention in an industry where I can only imagine that is difficult to achieve. There have been several staff there taking care of him since he was an infant, and the relationship that they have developed is amazing. I appreciate the Montessori principles, admittedly we chose the school based on proximity to home but the curriculum has been excellent. Any time there has been an issue, staff have handled it timely and professionally. We are even considering keeping him in the program for Kindergarten before we send him off to public school. My child is currently enrolled in this school, but not for much longer. As soon as we can find…read moreplacement in a different preschool, we will be switching. They frequently allow children to paint with non-washable paints (4 shirts and 1 pair of pants have been ruined), children are allowed to cut other students' shirts with scissors (1 shirt has been ruined), and they lose my child's belongings all the time (2 shirts, 1 pair of shorts, a pair of mittens, and 1 brand-new book that they requested we bring). When asked about the missing or ruined items, the teacher refuses to take responsibility for what goes on in her classroom, and the director doesn't hold the teacher accountable. Each and every newsletter they send out is filled with spelling and grammatical errors. They insist that the newsletter be in an attachment to the email, but they forget to attach it about 75% of the time, meaning your inbox will frequently be cluttered with several emails a day from this Montessori. You are required to bring snacks for 20 children at least once a month, as they are unwilling to provide them. The snacks they request are frequently out-of-season and very expensive berries and fresh-cut flowers. If your child attends for a full day, you are responsible for providing his or her lunch, or spending $4.00/day to have the meal catered. Again, this facility refuses to provide food for your child.
