This is my experience and I wanted to share it. Here are a couple pictures that show the school was short staffed, the business closed earlier then our contract stated, and I was charged double along with all of the other parents during my childrens enrollment. I had to show bank statements proving I was double charged as they were confrontational when I brought up the issue. Per other reviews, Jackie denied everything and was not apologetic for any of these problems. I have a post on NextDoor going and it is amazing how many other families have had similar issues. I'm currently in the process of a job-related move, so I've recently been exploring other Primrose schools as well as various types of early childhood education institutions. From my searches, I haven't been able to find another school that takes a holistic approach to programming while fully engaging the child and providing support and flexibility for parents. I love the themed days the school hosts during various holidays. I enjoy the Spring Fling, the opportunity to take pictures with Santa, the pancake breakfast, and other activities such as the kid-friendly Halloween Trunk-or-Treat event. All the staff have been incredibly kind and supportive of my family. This school is wholly dedicated to the family unit. My 14-month-old daughter used to attend Goddard School Erie at Vista Ridge. She was often crying at…read morepick up and shaking her head 'no' and crying at drop off with the teacher. This was very uncharacteristic of her. One Monday, at pick up my daughter was the only child left and I found her in a corner by herself crying. I was unable to settle her or get her to stop crying until after we got home that night. The teacher told me that my daughter was isolated like that after the other children had been picked up to work on 'regulating her emotions' (at just over a year old?). On Wednesday that week, when I picked her up, she was hysterical (again, this is very unlike her at home or in previous daycare). There was another child still in the class and a second teacher present this time. When I went to lift her up, the teacher told me that my daughter's hair was wet because "she needed to be spritzed a couple of times to help her regulate her emotions when she would not stop crying." I then noticed that her hair was soaked. I looked at the teacher in shock and she pointed at the wall where several spray bottles were hanging up and she stated that "some kids actually like being sprayed." I left immediately to gather myself and calm my child. I then emailed the director and requested an immediate meeting. We requested that a letter be sent to families of other children that could have also been treated this way by their teacher. Since a letter has yet to come out, and may never, I feel responsible to share our story with others. This is especially important since children in these classrooms aren't yet able to communicate these things with us. Ultimately, we lost trust in the school. Felt like there is a big miss here in terms of teacher education and general oversight in the classrooms. We pulled our daughter out. She has since joined a new daycare and is thriving. I am hopeful that the state licensing agency can help the school to reach the standard of other Goddard schools that we have previously known and loved.

I was so scared sending my 3 year old to a learning center as he's only been at an in home center since birth. I've heard stories about other places and sometimes you just don't know until you go somewhere. I knew after the first day that my son was going to thrive there. Not only do they have such a great curriculum but the teachers all love the kids. I snuck a peak at my son after his first day through the window and he was all smiles. When I walked in to get him he was so excited to see me and wouldn't stop talking about his day. We are now a year in and I am so amazed at some of the things he knows. Both of our kids are more compassionate and intelligent due to the love and attention of the staff here. There is nearly no turnover in staff, the teachers are very experienced and care immensely for the kids that attend. I can't say enough good things about Meadowlark. I am writing the review based off of an employment not as a parent with a student that goes here…read more My sister has been working here for 6 months now and really enjoys herself. She started in the summer program and really enjoyed the different activities they had throughout the summer for the kids. For example they took the kids swimming every Wednesday, they would have the reptile house or the butterfly pavilion come in several times with different activities for student learning, And they had many discoveries own learning projects that were hands-on for students. When you look at the facility it is very uniquely designed but it looks really cool and they have a lot of hands on activities even outside like gardens and greenhouses. The Montessori is a community learning program that a lot of people seem to like and appreciate. For family and friends of ours that work here it seems like a great school with great employment opportunities as well as learning opportunities for students. A consultation and a tour would be a great thing if you are interested in something like a Montessori.
