ALL SMILES! After…read morebeing at home with Mom and Grandma for the first 7 months of my daughter's life, I was nervous and stressed about the transition of taking my baby girl to day care for the first time. After doing research on the best facilities across Broomfield, Louisville, Lafayette and Erie, I decided on Little Sunshine's and am SO GLAD that I did. Miss Gini (Asst Director) made the process from enrollment to first day attendance feel comfortable and simple, easing my worries tremendously. Miss Lori and Miss Brooke (along with the help of Miss Adrienne) in the Infant 2 room have been the BIGGEST blessings! My little girl loved them from the first week she started. Making it so much easier for me to drop her each day and go to work knowing she is in good hands and loves her teachers. They are always engaging and have done everything they can to help ease my mind and keep my little girl happy. They are flexible and communicative and very sweet with all of the kids. Cannot say enough positive things about this dream team! Also, their proprietary phone app, LuvNotes is AWESOME! The teachers post pictures and notes of my daughters activities throughout the day, when she eats, naps and has a diaper change, which definitely helps mamas like me get peace of mind and reduce the mom guilt. SHOUT OUT TO MISS LORI and MISS BROOKE - ya'll are the BEST! Thank you for being you!!

After that, we received no communication for 14 months. When we finally reached out, Little Sunshine reneged on their promise of part-time care and had no opening available as originally assured. When we asked for a refund (given that we paid the fee based on inaccurate information) we were told the fee is non-refundable, even though staff acknowledged that multiple families have expressed similar frustrations about misleading waitlist practices. We were promised a follow-up from a higher-up, but no one ever called. In our view, the $350 waitlist fee was paid under deceptive and misleading circumstances, and the lack of communication and accountability has been very disappointing.

Our daughter's transition was delicately handled by TLE staff. The app Bubbles & Friends keeps us engaged in our daughter's daily activities with routine updates and precious pictures. We are deeply grateful for the amazing care of our daughter and excellent execution of the TLE curriculum. We met with Denise and Amanda and we were so impressed with the facility, we signed our kids up right then and there. We love the variety of their education and how they move from classroom to classroom. We love Make Believe Boulevard (an indoor mini city where the kids can use their imagination to play, complete with a slide and ball pit), that Spanish is taught, they do learning bags on Fridays that the kids share an item of what they learned that week and hands down we both love the interactive LEAP Digital board and corresponding LEAP books. The teachers are amazing, very hands on and compassionate. Jelena and Liz in Toddler 2 class, our 2.5 year old absolutely adores. When we first started, we expressed how we wanted our then 2.5 year old potty trained, and within 1 week after attending there, she was. They were so patient and kind with the potty training our daughter took right to it. Corrie in the Pre-K class is so friendly and patient with the kids. Our 5 year old always came home with new songs or ideas she learned from Ms. Corrie. We were so impressed and just love all the staff there: Denise, Amanda, and Samantha at the front are super friendly and do whatever they can to accommodate your family (our youngest is in speech therapy). There are so many great things about this school and the wonderful teachers I would highly recommend this daycare to anyone looking for quality care for your kids.

There has been great staff retention in an industry where I can only imagine that is difficult to achieve. There have been several staff there taking care of him since he was an infant, and the relationship that they have developed is amazing. I appreciate the Montessori principles, admittedly we chose the school based on proximity to home but the curriculum has been excellent. Any time there has been an issue, staff have handled it timely and professionally. We are even considering keeping him in the program for Kindergarten before we send him off to public school. I am so grateful for all the staff at Hope!

They frequently allow children to paint with non-washable paints (4 shirts and 1 pair of pants have been ruined), children are allowed to cut other students' shirts with scissors (1 shirt has been ruined), and they lose my child's belongings all the time (2 shirts, 1 pair of shorts, a pair of mittens, and 1 brand-new book that they requested we bring). When asked about the missing or ruined items, the teacher refuses to take responsibility for what goes on in her classroom, and the director doesn't hold the teacher accountable. Each and every newsletter they send out is filled with spelling and grammatical errors. They insist that the newsletter be in an attachment to the email, but they forget to attach it about 75% of the time, meaning your inbox will frequently be cluttered with several emails a day from this Montessori. You are required to bring snacks for 20 children at least once a month, as they are unwilling to provide them. The snacks they request are frequently out-of-season and very expensive berries and fresh-cut flowers. If your child attends for a full day, you are responsible for providing his or her lunch, or spending $4.00/day to have the meal catered. Again, this facility refuses to provide food for your child.

I have two kids here and we started over 4 years ago -- I've had a kid in every single room at this school, from early infant to private kindergarten, and many of the same teachers have been there the whole time. My kids love it. They are happy to go to school in the morning, and typically not ready to leave at the end of the day. I am so grateful for Primrose School of Erie!

They love their teachers. They love to make friends. They grew up with some good friends from infant classrooms to Pre-K or Kindergarten and they still have play dates and miss each other outside of the school. They love circles times and small groups everyone. They have learnt so much in school and often amazed us! Primrose has been an important part of our life in the last few years. We trust this school so much because we know our little ones would have great time there everyday. And if they have any issues, there are someone caring in school who is going to take care of them and to discuss issues with us. We are glad we made great choice to send our boys to this school a few years ago and strongly recommend this school to new parents! Thanks

When I drop him off in the morning, he giggles and smiles at the teachers. He always seems happy when I pick him up. I love that they write out a little log of what he did all day long. The teachers seems to absolutely love babies and have taught me things about infant care. I look forward to him growing up at the school. The kids in the older classrooms seem so happy every day. They literally run into the school with huge smiles on their faces. I love that they have a curriculum and teach the kids about science, art and music. The kids also seem to learn great social skills and how to work and play in groups. I am so happy we found a place where I know my son is safe, happy, and learning. Of course, I miss him when I am at work, and look so forward to my days at home with him, but I also can relax when I am at work knowing he is loved by his teachers.

My experience trying to get my daughter (one year) into the Goddard School could not have been…read moreworse. Three weeks prior to her expected start date, I called the school asking if they had openings with the toddler classroom. They did, and when they asked what days she would be attending, I asked if they could do a variable three days throughout the week. This is due to the fact that my wife works three days a week as a nurse, but her days aren't set. The school responded that they could accommodate this. The following week, I went in for the tour. During the interview, I again mentioned that we would need the variable scheduling, and was again reassured that they could make it work. We then toured the facility. The facility is fine, and the teachers seemed fine. The toddler room's floor was a little dirty, and the kids were all running around with runny noses... but it is a toddler room with 10 kids, so it is about what I would expect. At this point I was excited to enroll my daughter, and was told that they had some other families looking at the spot in the classroom. My wife and I decided quickly, and by the next morning we had given the Goddard School signed paperwork, and a check for their 'non-refundable' deposit and payment for the first week of care. A few days later, my wife also went in to the school for a tour, and was again told they could accommodate the schedule, although the Director (Marissa) was beginning to grow a little wishy washy about having our daughter attend on Fridays. Still, we felt good, and began filling out the paperwork and purchasing the items that the school requested (lunchbox, bottles, crib sheets, shoes, etc.). We also began migrating our daughter onto their schedule (one nap a day, no bottles, etc.). Finally, on a Saturday night, two days before my daughter is expected to begin at the school, we receive an email from Marissa, the Director, that some of their current families changed their schedule and would no longer be able to have our daughter attend their school. There was no mention of returning our money. Yes, after a three week process of five or six separate reassurances, after we paid and visited twice, after we stopped looking at other schools and canceled our previous childcare arrangements, and only two days prior to when we were supposed to begin, sent with an email to us on the weekend with no one to speak to.... we were told to go pound sand. So, can I recommend the Goddard School? Of course not, because the sheer administrative incompetence, horrible customer service, unprofessional communication and second class treatment never allowed my family to see the school we paid to see. I hope that the teachers and the curriculum are great for you if you try to enroll your child here, but be forewarned that it could be your family that is hung out to dry in the future.

My son attended Karter School in Thornton from early 2024 through June 2025. I'm writing this…read morereview under my real name despite hesitation, as I've observed other detailed parent reviews being publicly dismissed rather than addressed. That response to genuine feedback is itself concerning. I withdrew my son due to ongoing issues with leadership, communication, and safety concerns that accumulated over time. My experience aligns closely with other detailed reviews that have been dismissed as fake, which speaks to a pattern of avoiding accountability rather than addressing legitimate concerns. Initially, the director was professional and welcoming. Over several months, her approach changed significantly. Communication became dismissive and at times felt hostile. After a minor misunderstanding at a school event, the tone toward my family clearly shifted. Reasonable questions were met with defensiveness rather than collaboration. Warning signs included sudden classroom changes without parent notification, active discouragement of parent-teacher communication, and an atmosphere where families seemed reluctant to ask questions or raise concerns. When a teacher left abruptly, parents were told not to discuss it, a directive that felt controlling rather than transparent. Safety incidents during our enrollment included an emergency evacuation and police presence on the property. Communication during these events was minimal and reactive. Staff appeared uncertain about emergency procedures, which is unacceptable in a childcare setting. In June 2025, I became aware that the director had spoken negatively about me by name during another family's private exit meeting, a meeting I had no involvement in. This breach of professionalism confirmed my concerns about retaliation and lack of accountability. I withdrew my son immediately. The building is beautiful and many teachers genuinely care about the children. However, leadership sets the culture, and that culture felt increasingly defensive and unstable. I encourage prospective families to speak with multiple current and former parents, review state licensing records, and look beyond first impressions before enrolling.

We were fortunate to have one of the best teachers our child has ever had while we were at this…read moreschool, and for a time, everything seemed to be going well. However, when we attempted to transition our child to a different classroom, we were met with unexpected resistance from management. What followed was a terse meeting, after which we were abruptly expelled from the program. Unfortunately, we have since learned that we are not the first family to experience this kind of treatment. There were also repeated instances where promised programs--such as Music and Mandarin--were quietly removed or dismissed as never having been part of the curriculum, despite earlier assurances. A concerning pattern we observed is how management handles criticism. Families who leave negative reviews on public platforms like Google are often met with threats of legal action from ownership (see attached image). People are afraid of reprisal and remove them as you will be targeted by management to find out if you know who left them as they are obsessed with their reviews. The organization is quick to invoke its "Parent Code of Conduct" to justify its actions, yet there is no equivalent standard of accountability for management behavior. As a result, many families feel compelled to leave anonymous reviews out of fear of retaliation. I urge other families to proceed with caution. Being removed from a daycare is not only disruptive to your child's development and emotional well-being, but also to your family's routine and stability. To make matters worse, the center does not offer refunds or even partial reimbursements if you are dismissed mid-month.
