Writing this a former full time employee/current on call substitute…read more.. My journey at Larks began when I was working for an early childhood substitute teaching company. Eventually the owner Bridget recruited me from the company and hired me full time. I have been in early childhood education for well over a decade now, I have seen a lot of schools: the good, the bad and the ugly! Larks Preschool is an absolute gem, both for its employees and the children attending. It is a small and intimate setting- just one classroom in an adorable one bedroom house that Bridget and her husband converted into a preschool. At most Bridget employs 3 teachers (outside of herself- so 4 total). And the max capacity is 20 children- so the ratio is a dream! And she does not hesitate to book a substitute when needed. At larger places that I have worked at, everyday we had to shift kids around or combine classes, it was stressful for the kids and the teachers. Not a thing at Larks! Also, I have loved not having to constantly stay late, deal with constantly being short staffed, or battle black out dates for my time off, or attend unpaid weekend trainings, ugh! I could go on, but back to Larks The routine is perfect for the children: consistent, well thought out and easy to follow. The layout of the house flows very well with the routine. The day is fairly short, 8am to 3:30pm, and many children only attend for a half day (leave at 12:30pm). The afternoons are quieter- such a nice way to end the day. Bridget is very rigid in her safety protocols and following licensing requirements, but I honestly very much appreciate it after some of the incidents I have witnessed at larger schools and corporate daycare centers. And you have a nice 30 minute time block for prepping for the day- the children don't arrive until 8:30am. Bridget has always been very understanding and flexible with time off with me. She has a lot of empathy around emergencies and life's upsets- not something I have come across often in a boss. There are also a lot of built in breaks. The school follows the DPS schedule and honors their snow days as well. Summer is shorter but still a good chunk of time- more than enough for a nice reset. Larks also has a wonderful SLP who visits several times a month and provides feedback to both us teachers and to parents- so helpful! It is rarely stressful at Larks and just makes for a really fun day- a breath of fresh air especially of you have been in the ECE game for a while. It is Reggio based and is a mixed age group (2.5 to 6 years). Bridget is a big advocate for play based learning, allowing children the opportunity to teach each other and she really emphasizes the importance of language and speech development- I have learned so much from her and my time at Larks. Her experience shows in how well her school functions. A lot of places I have worked I felt like I was much more reactive in my teaching and "putting out fires" all day, so to speak. At Larks, I have learned more preventative strategies and just to slow down and be much more intentional in my interactions. I cannot emphasize how grateful I am for how much I have learned at Larks. I have shared this with Bridget, but she and her school renewed my love for teaching and early childhood development. I was on the edge of completely burning out and considering a drastic career change when I started working at Larks and am truly forever grateful. Again, such a gem! And the families that attend are wonderful and it is in such a great neighborhood- really nice place to go on walks for your lunch break! And younger siblings usually end up attending which is so fun to see. Families often keep in touch for years afterward and reach out to Bridget for feedback and for advisement in their child rearing and school selections, it is very sweet. It is a beautiful place! 10/10 would highly recommend! A great place to start your career in ECE as Bridget, Rachel and Kim are all highly experienced- wish I would have found it much sooner! But also a wonderful place to go if you are just burnt out/underpaid and wanting to rediscover the joys in teaching young children.

We have had exceptional experiences with both the threes and fours teachers and the administrative staff. We get feedback each day regarding how our kiddo does and an opponent to collaborate on approaches to support development. The facilities at the Glennon Heights location are particularly excellent with lots of room to run and explore. The cost is also very competitive considering all meals are provided, the hours are flexible, and the curriculum used. Would definitely recommend.

Their teachers are incredible and truly love them. Each of their teachers have been at AELC for 20 years which is something you don't see at every childcare center. As a working mom, I really appreciate that my kids have breakfast, lunch and snacks provided throughout the day. Would recommend the AELC to anyone! After our previous daycare unexpectedly closed at the end of 2025, we found ourselves scrambling to find care for our two children. The leadership team at Primrose stepped in during a very stressful time and made all the difference. They were able to immediately provide a preschool spot for our 4-year-old and stayed in close communication with us as we waited for an opening for our younger child, who started in the Young Toddler classroom in May. We felt supported every step of the way, and the transition was far smoother than we ever could have expected. Our older son absolutely loves his Preschool 3 teacher, Ms. Keshet. She is thoughtful, caring, passionate, fun-loving, and personable -- exactly the kind of teacher every parent hopes their child will have. She creates a warm, intentional classroom community while helping the children learn and grow every day. As a teacher myself, I cannot speak highly enough of her dedication and child-centered approach. She genuinely knows and cares about each child, and our son is excited to go to school every day because of the environment she has created. We also adore our younger son's teachers, Ms. Jay and Ms. Caspian. They welcomed our family with open arms and have been incredibly thoughtful and attentive. Our son was born prematurely and receives physical therapy through Early Intervention. Ms. Jay and Ms. Caspian have gone above and beyond by incorporating his exercises into his daily routine and partnering with us to support his development. They are always receptive to our questions and to recommendations from his pediatrician and therapists. Their care, flexibility, and commitment have given us tremendous peace of mind. We feel so fortunate to have found Primrose School at Colorado Station. Our children are happy, loved, and thriving, and we are deeply grateful to the administrators and teachers who have made that possible. We highly recommend this school to any family looking for a caring, supportive, and truly child-centered environment.

ABSOLUTE DISGRACE: 3 Years Wasted for a 30-Second Online Race…read more​DO NOT trust this school with your child's future. After keeping us on a waitlist for three years, these owners showed their true colors: they are cold, calculated, and couldn't care less about your family. ​Their "enrollment process" is a sick joke. They overbook their classes and force parents into a Sunday night "online race" at 6:30 PM. If you aren't one of the first 10 people to click a button, you are TRASHED and denied admission via a cold notification on a Sunday night--less than 24 hours before UPK applications were due. ​They left us stranded with no plan, no empathy, and a simple "sorry." I've received nothing but lack of compassion, unhelpful answers, & being strung along from this…read morecenter. Not only was I told 3 different start dates for my child, but they "lost" all of my child's confidential information along with pediatric records. On top of that we showed up for "first day" but was told classroom was "closed" so he needed to come back tomorrow. 7 hours later I then received a phone call telling me all of his information was lost and they had no record of him attending today (even though I made appointments and email trail that proved otherwise). And they could refund me because they already charged my card hundreds of dollars rather than the amount that was agreed soon signing paperwork... but wait I thought they didn't have my information? Everything you hope for in a daycare and more…read more I was raised in rural Midwest, which means two things: my mom stayed home with us, and the entire community looked down on daycare as inferior care for children. I have zero experience with institutionalized care. After quitting my job and staying home with my own children for several years, I returned to work. This daycare is a short walk from my older two's school, which is why I initially looked into it. They pickup from my older kid's elementary school, and offer care on their days off. It's literally everything you could hope for: clean, kind, consistent care for your children. My 2 year old went in speech delayed, but caught up with help from a speech therapist (JeffCo), and the loving supportive staff of Aspen Creek. He sings and is enthusiastic to come to school. For me, the christian education is a positive. One time after months of attending ACA, I lost my patience with my littlest. His look of shock at my loss of control spoke volumes: first, it was crushing for me, and all I needed to never lose it again...but second, it told me he has zero experience with adults losing their cool, or a tempered response. What a relief to know that patience is the norm in his life. The quality, kindness and consistency have made childcare not even a thing I think about...how many working moms can say that?! They are above and beyond any other place I have considered...and honestly, an even better option than an in-home nanny for us (which we tried over the summer) (also, she was great: there is just a reliability here you don't have with a single caretaker).

There appears to be clear favoritism among children and staff, which is unfair and unacceptable in a professional childcare setting. In addition, the quality of care and supervision is poor, raising concerns about the emotional well-being and treatment of the children. Harassment, unprofessional conduct, and lack of proper leadership should not be tolerated in a place responsible for caring for kids. I am deeply concerned about the childcare environment and the treatment of children at this center. It appears that children of different races and nationalities, including Black and Hispanic children, may be treated unfairly or discriminated against. The facility is also very dirty, has strong unpleasant odors, and does not appear to be cleaned professionally or maintained properly. Many children seem to get sick frequently, which raises serious concerns about sanitation, health, and safety standards. Management and leadership do not seem to take these issues seriously or make necessary improvements for the well-being of the children.

I recently found out that my grandson was kicked out of this daycare. He is autistic and can be…read moresensitive to people and their personalities. Him being kicked out of daycare isn't what bothers me as much as the staff talking bad about a little 5-year-old boy who has autism. Why not get some people to work with children who have autism instead of ousting them like they are some little criminals. They are children who need someone that has extra patience to teach them how to communicate in productive ways. I get it, many autistic kids can become violent and act out. But when I read into this, it has to do with the fact that they get frustrated they aren't able to communicate with others because most autistic children are non-verbal. I'm completely annoyed that staff at daycares are talking bad about little children instead of finding ways to make them feel safe and helping them with the barriers they are facing. If I lived in Colorado I would definitely be at the director's door and reporting some their staff to the state. Maybe they need to watch some cameras or get some cameras and see that staff are on their phones a lot and not paying attention to the children. My poor grandson doesn't need that kind of treatment from staff when he already faces barriers with being a non-verbal autistic child. I'm so upset in hearing about it all.
