Life-changing experience. Not sure where to start. As a veteran who is 100% disabled due to…read moreinjuries from the military, I really saw my health decline. Constant surgeries, multiple pills from the VA--no matter what I did, I just felt like I would never get back on track. I stopped drinking 3 years ago and started this uphill battle to do everything possible to get back in shape. I've always been active, but my weight kept holding me back from performing at a higher level.
A year ago, I decided to take it even further and seek outside help. During that time, I was introduced to Luba. At first, I was a bit skeptical because the VA had referred me to a nutritionist before, but the person wasn't in the best shape and gave me a printout with a pyramid, basically telling me what to eat and not to eat. I had already implemented these things and clearly needed to know what else was causing me not to lose weight as effectively.
At the same time, my wife's RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) was getting really bad, and doctors kept prescribing her more steroid-driven pills. I decided to meet with Luba. We had an initial consultation, which was surprisingly very detailed and much more informative than the previous doctor the VA had referred us to. She then requested our bloodwork and gave us specific instructions on what to ask for. I didn't even know you had to request detailed bloodwork; otherwise, they don't do it.
When we got our results, we found out everything that was wrong--more than we expected. Luba got to work and provided us with a detailed game plan. It seemed overwhelming at first, but after seeing the results, we knew we had to act fast.
In 30 days, we experienced a huge difference. My body felt different, and my wife was off her RA pills. Months later, I broke every weight record, but most importantly, I reduced my body fat while maintaining muscle. My wife has had no flares, pain, or inflammation and even started going to the gym again--something she hadn't been able to do for years.
Honestly, Luba is not just a nutritionist. She is someone who truly helps and makes it her goal to give you your life back. I highly recommend her. There's so much more she did, but this would turn into a novel, not a review.
