I'm about halfway between Coin Laundry and The Laundry Place. I've had a bit of a grudge wth Coin Laundry since the space it occupies the space where one of my all time favorite restaurants was before it closed years ago (Great China). The Laundry Place can be a bit sketchy later in the evenings... So I decided to let bygones be bygones and give Coin Laundry a chance. I rolled in shortly after 400 PM on a weekday and it wasn't packed. Probably only 4 or 5 customers... The machines appeared to be in pretty good shape and the attendant was friendly. The bill changers dispense, and the machines use, a combination of coins and tokens. I heard from the attendant a bluetooth app (similar to PayRange) might be in the pipeline. I had no issues with the washer or dryer that I used on this visit. While I will always prefer being able to relax on my couch while doing laundry I'll keep Coin Laundry in my back pocket and use it when needed.

No, the husband was not in the suit at the time. I was reorganizing and hung the suit on a doorknob for five seconds (seriously, FIVE seconds)! The folks at VC told me the suit would have to be laundered first because dry cleaning would set the odor in. They told me it might shrink, but they'd do it in cold. I had no choice but to let them do their best. And their best was perfect! Husband is none the wiser. The second challenge was my oldest son's weighted blanket. It's WHITE and came with a duvet cover. My apartment-dwelling genius offspring spilled food on it, removed the duvet, and never replaced it. A YEAR later, he calls to ask how to wash the blanket. The details are grim, so I'll just share that this poor weighted blanket was so filthy I didn't think it could be white again. Victoria cleaners did it, though! Looks like new. I don't know how, but they did it. They are miracle workers, in my opinion.

We paid over $200 for 20 tablecloths to be pressed at Crown cleaners on university Avenue. I picked them up on the Monday before the dinner. I had no reason to look at them until 3 PM in the afternoon when we were setting up the tables. The dinner was at 5 PM When I contacted the owner Mary, she said that this is normal . She also stated that it is because of the fabric and that they needed to be folded. Since they are the professionals, I should've been told ahead of time that this was the best they could do. I told her how disappointed we were in the end result. I never asked for a refund or compensation from her. The reason is because from the very beginning of the conversation, she said this was normal. That is so hard to believe. What do you think?
