This is absolutely one of the worst businesses ( and business owners) in Flagstaff. Do not buy any soil from them. We purchased 6 yards of top soil planting mix for our garden beds and several months later figured out why all of our plants were dying. It was because of the huge Japanese beetle grub infestation. Our soil was so loaded with these grubs that we spent hours and hours removing them by hand, after pulling out all of the vegetables we had planted. I am totally serious and completely honest when I say we have removed GALLONS of the grubs. One quart container after another. I called the company and finally got a call back from Clint, the owner, and he completely denied any possibility that this could have been his responsibility. (interesting that his first response was "Well we have never had a complaint before", which was the same thing his employees said when I called to question his measuring of quantity on another shipment of a different product). He had an excuse for every possible scenario as to how these grubs may have gotten there, and they all came back to it being my fault and my problem. His answers even began to contradict themselves. We have never had any issues, or presence, of grubs in our gardens beds before. He blamed it on our yard, he blamed it on our other beds (yes the ones that have no grubs) he blamed it on the wind. He never once offered to help resolve the situation. He declined to come have a look at the dirt himself. He did not offer to replace the bad soil. He kept talking about how his 'soil has been tested' but could not tell me for what except for a pH test. I can not believe how much he blamed me for this problem and how he refused time and time again to try and resolve the issue. Why would he, he maintains it wasn't his fault. Do not go to this business; I am sure his response to any of your problems will be the same: "well we have never had that complaint before"; "well it couldn't possibly be our materials, must be your fault". read more
