The incontinence was gone after our 4th, and I eventually reduced in size from 2X to 14. Sleep apnea which had plagued me for years vanished, as confirmed by my doctor, and I no longer need a CPAP. A 50% compression fracture to L2 was healed (resulting in a 1.5-inch increase in height) and mobility of my right arm was 100% restored 32 years post-injury. I began my journey with Katherine because I was sick and tired of feeling so sick and tired. I could not have willed all the positive changes to my diet, my increased level of exercise, or the reduction in the size of my body. I was not able to reach anyone. Directions stated to book online, but there were no options online for redeeming a Groupon initially. I figured I'd just try to call a bit later and hope to reach someone. I was very excited to have my first reiki experience. I have had so many stressors in my life, and was on a mission to try different ways to find peace and balance. Being unsure of reiki, I figured a Groupon deal would be a great way to see if I like it. Dealing with this place became another stressful and negative experience. Very disappointing for a place that promises healing and well being. Anyway, I waited a couple of weeks and called again in some spare time. No one answered, again, but I left a voicemail. Someone then text me back in response to my voicemail and told me that since they were having trouble with Groupon customers showing up for their visits, they were now chargIng a $10 NON-refundable deposit just to book an appointment. This response took me by surprise, but I figured it would be ok as long as that $10 maybe went towards the tip or something. When I asked what the $10 would be used for, and if it would go toward the tip, the response I got was quite rude and unprofessional. I was told that if I had a problem with the policy, I could request a refund from Groupon. This is not how Groupon works, however. I was not able to just request a refund from Groupon because I had already viewed my Groupon voucher and Groupon policy states that you cannot request a refund once it is viewed. I've never had an issue with Groupon before, I did not expect to have an issue now and again I was very excited to book. Also, on Ase's website, it asks for the Groupon code, which you can only see by opening the Groupon voucher. I have a feeling Ase already knew that though. So after spending more time trying to find out how to get a hold of groupons customer service, I was finally able to get a refund. I have included images of the text message interactions with Asè. As a business, it is not in good taste to punish your customers for the mistakes of other customers. If you didn't like how the Groupon deal was working out for you, as a business, you suck it up and keep your end of the bargain anyway, because you agreed to it--you don't change the policies and treat your prospective clients like garbage. Instead, they charge a monthly fee that comes to under $800 annually. For that, you receive essentially unlimited primary medical care. He responds to email questions promptly and will even call you to explain things in person. He is additionally able to do video conferencing consultations. If I could give this place no stars, I would…read more Once doctor told me during an after hours call (and all within the span of our 15 minute conversation) that 1. My daughter was showing signs of SIDS, 2. On second thought, it was probably a seizure and I should take her to the emergency room, 3. No, wait, it's probably no big deal. The next day we went in to see a doctor and found that the experience that had prompted our after hours call was totally normal and the doctor we saw seemed shocked that we'd been told such wildly varied things. Another doctor marked my daughter, at 5 months old, as "obese" on her medical chart and suggested that we limit her breastfeeding so that she wasn't "snacking throughout the day". At this point, breastfeeding was her primary source of nutrition. She also suggested that our daughter sleep outside of our bedroom, though the AAP suggests waiting until at least 6 months. They really pushed the "cry it out" method on us and despite our protests that this wasn't the best option for us, they assured us it was the only option they could recommend. When we brought our daughter in as a newborn to see the lactation specialist, we ended up waiting half an hour while our daughter cried to be nursed because no one bothered to tell her we were waiting and we had been told not to feed the baby until the lactation specialist could be there. When we finally did see her, she told us she had been given a new scale and wasn't sure how it worked. After putting my baby on it and being unable to make it work, she pounded the desk on either side of the scale with her fists in frustration while my daughter lay there inches away. She also offered us a nursing pillow from a pile of them on the dirty floor in the room. In general, no doctors in the practice were willing to listen to our concerns or work with our parenting style. We always felt rushed and left frustrated. We decided on the practice because we loved Dr Ng but we were almost never able to see him and the other doctors on staff were so terrible we ultimately decided to switch to a new practice and have been much happier and visits have been way less stressful ever since.
