I really thought I had written a review. Guess not. The lanai is one of two food courts in the Ala Moana Shopping Center. It is located on the mall level right across Macy's on the mountain side of the center. My retirement peeps and I come here once a month to eat and talk story. The food court features Mahaloha Burger, HITea, Musubi Cafe, Teppanyaki Farmer, Kamukura Ramin, Ahi and Vegetables, Mana Sandwich and Brug. This food court has fewer vendors, but the noise level is low enough to have a conversation without yelling. Nice and clean. You always see someone cleaning up. Enjoy.

Thank you to The Lanai for just being at a normal part of the mall! Small yet mighty this food court can be victimized for it's size but this newest addition does it's job of giving us a place to relax and take a breath from shopping, hangry moments or just adulting. So much seating both indoors and outdoors it does have a little bit of everything from Mahaloha Burger, Smooties and Chinese food at HiTea Cafe, fresh fish at Ahi & Vegetable, my favorite boneless kale bowl at Teppanyaki Farmer, yummy pastries at Brug, a drink to watch the game at Agave & Vine, or a healthy creating at Da Spot, bento heaven at Musubi Cafe or how about the newbies Kamukura Ramen and Mana Sandwiches. It's so nice to see that every space is finally occupied and the normalcy is back in place no names to be taken and we can seat ourselves. The decor is simple and bright with bathrooms just steps away this is my favorite place and when I broke my ankle the convenient 20 minute parking right outside with automatic doors sure help when you're on crutches. The staff here does a fantastic job keeping in nice and clean I only hope the hours get extended to stay open longer past 7pm so that we can get our cravings selfishly taken care of on my long work days. Thank you!

Nice to see this place after closing time. Normally, it is very packed and loud. Surprised that the entrance doors weren't locked after hours, although uncertain how long it will remain that way. With the entire place air conditioned and not have to fight for tables and chairs, it is a fabulous rest area.

This is the food court I wish existed downstairs. It's dark, but not in a creep way. It's quite sleek and modern looking. Whereas downstairs had the feeling of a cafeteria from the 1950's. I did manage to find some food here but settled on some fries. They have a nice wine bar and I may return to it. I did give a one star review to one place and a multi-star review to another. The fries that I ate at Mahalo burger was okay. But the seating was fine and every table was clean. The only issue was that they have the bar seating and tables and I have long legs and I'm not used to my legs swinging, so that's weird for me. But, I'd buy some food from somewhere else and bring it in. Shhhh, don't tell. I also went to the bathroom which was nice and clean and that was good.

The Lanai has been a fixture at the Ala Moana Mall since 2018. Known as the neighborhood hot spot, the Lanai draws people in due to its location. The restaurants offer an array of various cuisines. Restaurant kiosques such as Malaloha Burgers, Ike's, Tepanyaki Farmer, Da Spot, HiTea, Brug, and Musubi Cafe set up their homes here. The kiosks provide quick service to the many hungry mall employees, shoppers, and tourists. Or some go to Agave and Vine to watch a sporting event. Located next to Macy's, and other popular stores, the Lanai makes for the perfect place to stop and eat. The dining area provides plenty of seating. Part of the seating area extends to the outside. No need to worry about parking. As always, parking will be free at the mall. After dining here, shoppers can walk around the Ala Moana Mall. Come and enjoy different foods and relax. Bring family, friends, or a date.

Tired & hungry from shopping at Macys? Heads up fellow juanderers! The Lanai will save you from fainting! Located at the Diamond Head Wing 2nd level of the mall, surely you'll be pleased to visit this modernistic food court. Grab your lunch/dinner here with plenty of food stalls available inside. From steaks, musubis, milk tea, desserts & up to vegan options. With lots of comfy chairs and tables to dine in. With available bathroom inside, what else are you looking for a mall food court? This is also a hub for the Pokemon Go Community and a meeting place for some friends & lovers too! A pretty busy place where lots of happenings around every single day. For us bandits, The Lanai is a go-to-place if flabby husband drools for a good steak (Tepanyaki Farmer) nearby. Me? Musubi, and shrimp retaled dish is where you find my face. Hahaha. Truly The Lanai will always be part in my life while Oahu life still last. Mahalo & HAPPY JUANDERING fellow yelpers! www.juanderbandit.world

Haven't been to Ala Moana in many years! So, to find Lanai was a treat! Pretty good food at a reasonable price!

The Lanai is located next to Macy's, and it's a great place to grab a bite to eat, and unwind and relax after a strenuous day of shopping and walking. This place is very clean and spacious, and you won't have a difficult time finding a table. There's a good selection of food stalls. It's a lot smaller than the Makai Market Food Court and Shirokiya Japan Village Walk, but the options are decent. There's a Japanese noodle stall, musubi, Chinese, Korean, Burgers and Sandwiches, bakery, sashimi, and a healthy Mediterranean. The plus is you can grab a beer, wine, or cocktail at Agave and Vine and have it anywhere in The Lanai. Overall, a nice, clean, and less hectic place to grab a quick meal and a drink.

Social distance seating now available.
Vince B.

Covid 19 update: The Lanai is now 99% reopened (Ike's Sandwich is still closed). A large seating area is cordoned off with table cleaning and social distancing practiced. It seems safe and comfortable with security present and cooperative customers always. We are very cautious about venturing out in public. We go here at least once a week. I love this food court. 5 Big Stars on the Lanai Food Court!

4/10/26 single slice with a "twist"…read more I got to this location and it was fair that it be busy cause of the rain. I went around and looked at the 5offerings... it was easy for me to choose it had to be quick so I ordered at aloha by the slice. single slice with a "twist" I say twist cause initially I wanted Sausage and humbly the worker (Teddy M) expressed nicely that they didn't have sausage and I asked for ham... now remember I wanted the "single" slice with one"topping" and no sausage but ham was available. If many of you follow my reviews... I don't care for Hawaiian pizza.... The last Hawaiian pizza I had was at "Spitfire Grill" in the Dukes lane Market and that got 5stars BECAUSE- it had pork grinds on the Hawaiian pizza - which by the way is really delicious and I found it an epic addition to the pizza The reason for my 5stars this time is because Teddy decided that he give me a Slice of Hawaiian pizza that has the "Ham" & Pineapple on it.... Even when I asked for the single topping slice... he was perhaps going above and beyond ((there was an impending line in back of me)) so he choose to take the slice already made warm it in the wood fire stove then take it and cut in half.... He did this for the right person... me!!!! Happiness to hit one customer with a slice that had two toppings... I will add that I realized this may not go as well for other people... but if your one to understand the food service part of it then you get where my 5stars comes from... Thanks Aloha by the slice... I'll be going back again. (I'm still not a sucker for pineapple on my pizza)

Night 1, ordered slices from Aloha pizzeria and Hashi & Spoon (Karaage). Decent all the way around. Night 2 was strange. Ordered Karaage again (my 4 yo loves chicken). And tried to go to get Mexican food from La Pina, and short of saying I'm ready to order, I tried to make eye contact with any one of the 4 teenagers / young 20yos, to infer as much besides obviously standing in front of the register--they were more concerned with an inside joke between each other to bother with me and my son. After waiting a full minute with still acknowledgment, I counted down from 10 out loud to my son and when I reached zero with still no acknowledgment, I dipped. Maybe that was ok, because the al pastor was the only thing that looked somewhat fresh. Went to Greek grotto instead and boy, you really pay the penalty tax for eating right there in Waikiki. Not only was one of the orders wrong despite asking and the workers correcting each other, the gyro plate was abysmally small. Barely 3 oz of gyro meat. I didn't find out all of this till I opened up the container at our hotel room. Irritated, I couldn't go back because I've got a tired 4 yo. The chicken karaage was slightly burnt, which means the outer crust was a tinge bitter, and mostly cornmeal, totally different from yesterday, which also disappointing. Not coming back. Only giving two stars because the service at Aloha Pizzeria was solid and the pizza crust tasted good even cold the next day.

At the time when we came here in 2019, we went to a photography exhibit by National Geographic. Now this is something I enjoy. I think tourists could enjoy it too and bring in the modernized look for Waikiki. I have been on the fence about the traditional vendors over these overpriced high end stores. I look at it in a business perspective. Hawaii drives its economy through tourism. We are in the United States of America and you got major cities like New York, Miami, Los Angeles and such. It's competing for more tourists to come to Hawaii. I hate to say this but Hawaii versus Miami? You got people with money that spend at high end stores. People now look at Waikiki like you're shopping on Rodeo Drive. Well if this is what attracts tourists - so be it to help the economy. It is a shame that it has to be this way to survive in this economy. The workers in Waikiki have pride in their job and make an honest living in an expensive state. I do miss the old International Marketplace. It was nice seeing vendors sell things.
