After a cut from Juliet, I feel like my curls can finally spring up to their potential. Juliet started out with a dry cut and she was so amazing answering all of my questions (which I had a lot). She was super knowledgeable as to the type of products that my hair could handle, and even let me know that my current shampoo/conditioner was probably too heavy for me which is why my curls were a bit lackluster. After the dry cut we moved onto the wash and some final snipping finishes. I'll probably never be able to recreate the final look that she achieved after diffusing but I'll make it my personal mission to get as close to it as possible. Long story short, if you want someone who's a solid conversationalist, gives great curly advice, and listens to the type of haircut you want I recommend Juliet!

Answered all of my questions. I set the appointment and paid my deposit. I arrived 8am sharp and was quickly seated by a very sweet lady. She asked me what I wanted and I said smedium knotless that would hit underneath my boobs at my waist line. She said ok and began to go to work. She was quick. I thought I would be there for 7 hours but to my surprise was finished by 12 pm. I stood up and the braids went halfway down across my butt. I instantly felt regret and told her these are too long. The lady made a face and attempted to cut some of them. She told me she couldn't do too much because it would mess up the style and that I should be happy that I would only have to pay for waist length. No no no - price isn't the issue, it's the fact you did not listen to your client on set!! I went to pay and quickly left the salon. Not very happy but also I did not want to cause a scene. Looking back I should've raised my concerns right then and there but again, I am a novice at braids so I chalked it up. While my parts look really nice, I don't believe my braids are true knotless. I have looked at photos over and over and the more and more I see that my braids at the root do not lay flat or start off "natural". If anything, it looks as if there is a small knot at the beginning. Also the ends of my braids are not neat. So many of the other ladies in the salon braids looked good so I assumed everyone there braided the same. I hope and pray taking these down my hair will not be damaged which this protective style was specifically asked for to protect my hair. Unfortunately I will likely not recommend this place nor will I return.

It has a very comfortable and homey atmosphere, and the staff clearly got along well, laughing and joking with each other as well as with the clients. I felt very at ease and not at all intimidated to tell my stylist what I was looking for in terms of my cut. Haircut: I had my haircut by Marty, who is the owner of the salon. If you have curly hair, you know how much of a struggle it can be to find someone who really understands how your hair works. I have had my fair share of nightmare cuts where the stylist has cut it wet and it curled up to WAY shorter than anticipated. None of that here! No pulling of the curl, no brushing, no making it frizz out! Also they didn't automatically assume I wanted it blown out straight after they cut it, which I appreciated. My cut turned out wonderfully, whether I wore it curly (my go-to for the week) or straightened it. I had the DevaCut, which was a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for and the cut was high quality and definitely worth it in my opinion. Final word: Highly recommended!

I was so impressed with Skylar's attention to detail and technique. She took her time with my hair and listened to what I wanted. The end result was perfect! Now my natural color blends with the blonde a lot better and my hair is thicker and healthier. The salon itself is small but clean and cozy. The products are high quality and the shampoo chair is the comfiest shampoo chair I've ever sat in. I also love that they offer you coffee or other refreshments every time!
