Update to Rombola's Power Equipment located in Horsham, (Saturday, June 28, 2025)…read more Just under a week ago, my father had taken several chainsaw blades to be sharpened at Rombola's, believing that both Frank & Pat were still in operation (vowing never to take his other power equipment there after the dishonest service Frank had pulled several times in months past). My father was surprised that the senior mechanic, Andrew, whom was employed by Frank, was now the new manager, along with his wife. My father had taken his lawn mower to Rombola's on Sat. June 28th and was greeted by Andrew, the new (owner/operator) of Rombola's and what a night & day difference! Andrew is not only courtesy but also professional and meticulous when it comes to mechanical advice, giving my dad a number of different options. Andrew also invited us into the newly updated and reorganized office (what a stark contrast to the mess and unkept clutter Frank operated under). The new office / showroom has new equipment and supplies to show off and there's just a much more upbeat atmosphere. Obviously, customers reach out to purchase equipment & have repairs conducted, and perhaps some don't care about the behavior of how a new manager operates but, in order to successfully operate and manage a business (friendliness, respectful & kind attitude, as well as professionalism) goes a long, long way. After all, "first impressions" are what bring clientele to the business. If you're a cold and uncaring individual, much like Frank was, your reputation will be recognized and your business will suffer. But, if you're energetic, mindful, professional, kind and respectful, these attributes will take you further. So as of June 28th, 2025 - Rombola's new owners (Andrew & his wife) are the best thing that could have changed in that dismal workshop). Maybe the common customer (who just brought their equipment in didn't care how Frank treated them - which makes me believe that these types of people don't have much self-respect for themselves). Pat was a good guy and my father never had an issue with him. He always went above & beyond for service. My father also came to learn that Frank was pulling some fast ones on customers. Conducting unethical business practices which is a no-no in the service industry. While this was not only poor managing, I came to learn that he was also poorly treating his staff mechanics. I don't know how business owners can carry on under these conditions but obviously - it didn't last. Frank left a poor legacy for himself. Andrew, on the other hand, has instilled a new partnership with the community! First impressions go a long way and so far - his legacy will be rewarded with consistent clientele. I will definitely recommend anybody now to the "NEW" Rombola's. Contrary to what Frank mentioned last year about closing the shop, it is very much up and running. New Owner! A+ Newly Reorganized Office! A+ Better Equipment! A+ Positive & Professional Atmosphere! A+ Caring & Friendly Staff! A+
