I finally assembled it and fueled and oiled it according to the limited instructions. I could not get it started, following the meager instructions explicitly. I took it to Marty / County line Hardware. First thing out of his mouth was "You didn't buy it here." I have however, purchased other expensive equipment from him in the past. He begrudgingly took it in for a "diagnosis." I got a call an hour later that it was ready. I said, "Gee that was fast, what was wrong?" He said, "You flooded it." I immediately went and picked up the saw. The charge was $23.00 (fair enough). I asked, "Just what did I do wrong." Marty said arrogantly, "I already told you, you flooded it." I asked for further instruction as to what I was doin wrong and was met with, "The new saws are like fuel injection and you used too much choke." (Since when does fuel injection have choke?"). He then proceeded to tell me that anybody over 70 probably didn't have the strength to start it anyway. BTW, I have been successfully operating chain saws for over 60 years. The newer saws DO have a different specific starting sequence not clearly indicated in the manual. He could have been far more helpful in advising me. As per usual, a subsequent online search yielded far better results that Marty was able to provide (with much less attitude)! NEVER AGAIN!!!
