BTW, after booking my appointment two weeks ago, just couldn't stand it - I bought a bunch of sharpening stones and a 'strop' and trained on YouTube. I had tried to cancel the appointment but didn't call in time. Which was lucky for me... The sharpening is done; a dangerously bent tip is fixed; and I can go back to my day job.
