At The George Michael Brunch at The Klondike, sung by Holcombe Waller!
Pippa A.

The food, the service, the ambiance - everything is excellent at The Klondike! If you're lucky, you'll be there when the owner, Holcombe Waller - who literally has the voice of an angel - is singing :)

Always great to go to Klondike. Tuesdays are a must as it's discount day on lemon drops. So many flavors to choose from. Service is great if you get the chance to be served by Cass or have James make your Lemon Drop it's a bonus!

This restaurant is a classic St. Helens staple! The atmosphere here is cozy, warm, and welcoming with incredibly kind staff. The food and drinks were excellent and delivered quickly. However, this was on the spendier side compared to most other establishments in the area. More of a special occasion type of establishment.

This is a must stop when you're here for Halloweentown! With deliciously themed drinks (like the basic witch which is a pumpkin martini), this place really matches the towns Halloween theme. This is the second year that I've been to the Klondike Tavern and I'm never disappointed. It may take a bit to get a seat but well worth the wait!

Great lunch spot! Loved our salads, chilled brews and sunny ambiance of our sidewalk table. Service, and team are friendly and accommodating. Would eat here again and highly recommend.

The service is impeccable and the staff are such a joy. Whether it's Halloweentown or Pride the restaurant is fun. The Klondike Tavern is my go to place in St. Helens! I have been several times and each time it's a little better than before. The cocktail menu is amazing and super creative. Blackberry Bramble is :: chefs kiss :: And the food is delightful. The short rib risotto is a must try. What a jewel.

This place is magical! We came here for our anniversary a few weeks ago and we had the best time. The staff were extra thoughtful and took the time to make sure we felt welcome. The food was delicious, highly recommend the pork cheeks or the beef tenderloin. The specialty cocktails are top notch. Can't go wrong with any of them. We tried three different cocktails. We had just a great time we came back for Halloween Town! A magical and haunting experience. This place is haunted, ask the staff about the haunting! The ambiance is perfect for fall and winter!

2/12/2023 - Valentine's Drag Brunch with D'Auntie Carol, The Other Woman, Amber Tingle, Caressa Banana, Candy Whoreholla, & April Brown

I have seen this place and perhaps I have been in here before in the way back while coming to Saint Helens to visit Halloweentown. It just seemed so familiar but perhaps that is because this place feels a bit like a friendly hug. I felt comfortable upon walking in and that was not just because I was there with a few friends to attend a Drag Queen Brunch. The show was starting when we got there and the gent working the front door was boom there when we needed him and guided us to our table. What a great space and if they offer another show like what we attended - go to that! If you have a bad time at a drag show you are definitely doing it wrong. But even just for a meal this space seems to be where you should be. I was a bit sad as the afternoon brunch did not have their breakfast offerings and we were stuck with the lunch menu. It was hard to be mad at some of the better fries I have had though. They were pretty perfect. I tried my first Cubano sandwich and that was a respectable morsel I could only finish half of. One thing I was able to grab off their brunch menu was a strawberry lemon drop. That drink got extra points for being beautiful, delicious and coming in a Marilyn Monroe level champagne glass - pretty perfect for the Valentine's Day theme. This spot is a local treasure creating a safe fun space for everyone and I can't wait to come back!

Sat down at 11:04am, photo taken at 11:50am and still waiting for food to arrive.

10/19/24 sat down at 11:04 am (open at 11am) there were only 5 tables occupied. Got food at 11:56am. Food was cold on top of it. 50 something minutes later and the chilaquiles are cold, the grilled cheese is not even melted and cold. We were starving at this point. One meal was comped but I want to say the flavors are there but 50 min for food is too long to wait.

Such a warm atmosphere with exceptionally friendly staff. We come here often. I love the creative cocktails, especially at Halloween! We always have the cauliflower soup - it's awesome! Today we tried the salmon on fettuccini and it was wonderful. We were too full for desserts but I normally would get the cheesecake.

Food is amazing! Quaint fun little out of the way with STELLAR burgers, small local store.read more

I REALLY wanted to love this little place under the new management. I hadn't been in since 2022…read more(out of the way for me). However, the owner made a Facebook post as a "call to action" for the community to support small businesses and I did just that. My experience: Upon entering the store/cafe, no one was working. I looked around and stood at the counter quite a while before the owner and an employee came out from the back. There was someone mopping who made eye contact with me, but never said a word. It was a bit uncomfortable... like I was a bother. I let them know that I saw the Facebook post and was there to purchase something. Under the old owners, the pies were delicious. I opted for a peach (very little inventory/choices available). I was extremely disappointed. $26 for a pie that was not very good. As well as, I felt the environment was less than welcoming. Now mind you, I made a special trip there because of her post which she voiced struggle. So, I asked if I could give some "feedback". Getting as much feedback from the community is imperative to the success of ANY business. Unfortunately, she said she was too "raw", gave me her business card, told me I could text her and walked away. I did feel for her which is why I was there trying to support the store. When the owner walked away, the employee apologized to me and it sounded as if others also have tried to offer feedback/support, but resources weren't being utilized. I walked out feeling like it was a wasted trip, wasted money and a wasted opportunity for the owner to gain a loyal customer. I paid $26 for a pie that was very overpriced; soggy with canned peaches that hadn't been drained well enough. I was disappointed. Like I said, I really wanted to love this place. But unfortunately, it was a one star experience for me. I realize I risk unsavory opinion of me personally regarding this review from the community. However, this truly is meant to help both patrons and the owner. I wish the Yankton Store and Restaurant the best of luck and success going forward.

NOPE! We had to inquire if they were open because it was dark and empty when we walked in....(Warning) We were seated and our server was very pleasant and promptly offered beverages- we ordered a soda. We examined the menu that was Extensive. Maybe Too Extensive (Warning) - seems like places that go overboard on menu options and have low volume have more opportunities for food spoilage. We took the SAFE route and went with Breakfast options....Wise Move!! Both our breakfasts were delicious!! Hot, tasty and just what we were hoping for!! We were especially Shocked that this Dated little spot was forging ahead with Technology....with a Robot Waiter!! We're from Arizona where trends are the Rage. I hadn't seen one in person before!! Kudos for trying to stay cutting edge!! Here's my suggestion...use some funds to upgrade/update to ambiance, simplify the menu to focus on What your Specialties are...and, try to recapture the energy/community it used to have. Three stars cause it was delicious and staff was sweet- otherwise, we won't be back due to the unpleasant atmosphere and stale odor of the establishment. Needs a facelift.
