The best breakfast spot in Park City. Tucked inside the super ritzy Goldener Hirsch Inn, the whole vibe feels European opulent, with actually good food, bright little nooks to eat in, and an outdoor patio. Top ingredients. Skip the way-too-decadent quiche Lorraine (like a block of butter with bacon), and get the breakfast BLT and their deliciously-creamy Toblerone latte. Would come back to try their unique, caramelized-banana and zucchini oatmeal that sounds amazing. It's so transportive just hanging here, so if you can, stay a while and enjoy. 5 stars!!!

Flavorful and decadent pastries. The weather was perfect outside. Antler lounge was also lovely. The lattes and hot chocolate are all really good. Need to go back to try their lunch. Unfortunately there were less options on the menu then listed online especially for the hot breakfast items. The Goldener Hirsch restaurant is one of my favorites and I had really high expectations based on that. A good spot for pastries and coffee in the morning. Service was good.

The wife and I were both in the mood for sandwiches and I sneaked a peak at some Yelp reviews to see how this place was and what people liked. With that knowledge, I was ready to order when we got there. However, the owner threw a curve ball, the sandwich of the day was The Cuban and it sounded delicious. But I walked in there confident of my choice of The Italian Stallion. Dang it, I was now unsure what I wanted. The wife came to the rescue and said that we should order both and we could swap halves. BRILLIANT! We ordered the Italian Stallion (spicy, they add jalapeños) and the Cuban along with a small container of mac salad and one of potato salad. We found a table outside in the sun, as it was in the low sixties and was perfect outside. We did not have to wait long for our food to come out to us. Both sandwiches were served hot and they looked fantastic and smelled even better. As you can see from the picture I dove right into the Italian Stallion before I remembered to take a picture. The wife waited for me to take a picture of the Cuban before she dug in. The taste did not disappoint, we each agreed they were very good. I highly recommend the Italian Stallion if you like Italian subs. One of the best I have ever had. By the time we ate our first halves and ate the little containers of Mac/potato salads, we were both full, so we did not get to taste the other sandwich. That was OK, they became our picnic when exploring SLC the next day. They were great even day old and cold. Yum! The person I assume was the owner was a bit gruff but not really in a bad way. When a customer asked to repeat what was in the Cuban, he replied to her "we just had that conversation". I laughed out loud and truly believe he was joking with her, but he did not crack a smile. He did go through the ingredients again. My thought is he's from Philly or Jersey. Hope I don't insult him with those guesses. As we were leaving, he let us know that the next day's sandwich was tri-tip and I am sure they could rock that. The next day, as we headed to SLC with our picnic sandwiches, we drove past the cafe and they had a large grill or smoker with smoke billowing out. The smell of the cooking tri-tip made me wish we were going to be back in Park City by lunch, but sadly we were not. Go. Eat Well. Have Fun!

The store side is lacking in the snack department, but I suspect its because they'd prefer you ate at the cafe instead of a grab and go meal. They do have some lower calories options, like the Nabisco 100-calorie snack packs and little hummus and pretzel packs in the cooler. They don't have a lot beyond that and chips. They have a ton of novelty candies for kids. The cafe serves typical diner fare, but is way on the pricey side. One day on the specials board I saw root beer floats for $5. Ouch. The counter where you pay has a lot of delicious looking baked goods in it like humongous cookies and muffins, but I've never tried them. We have never dined at the cafe, but plan to, eventually. They have a monopoly being the only place to grab a cold drink and a bag of chips on the mountaintop, but I enjoy the general-store look of the place and the charm of the mountain resort in general.

As soon as the hot dog was placed on the bun, the bun falls apart not even making it to the condiments which were so many to choose from. (Ketchup, mustard, and packets of relish or mayo) I get you want to give that local feel, but local and lazy are different. I'd recommend just driving 20 more seconds to the main resort area or just keep going down the canyon. A local BCC resident cooking on their grill might just give you a hotdog on the way down.
