We've met both Tami and Marissa during the drop offs and pickups - they are both super kind and we feel 100% confident that Ari is in good hands during his stays. Whenever we've gone inside the facility it's always clean, the cats look content, and the environment is quiet and peaceful. The first time he stayed I was a little nervous about how he was doing (he can be shy and unsure of himself in new environments) so I periodically emailed The Kitty Hotel and Marissa was kind enough to provide updates that helped ease my mind. He always comes home without any physical or behavioral changes and easily transitions back to home life without any issues. The price is reasonable for the high level of care the cats receive. So I left my Jordan (my precious cat) at the Kitty Hotel for 10 days while my husband and I went on a cruise. Jordan got excellent care. She even told me his personality there and that he bonded with her and one other. The Kitty Hotel came to our rescue right at the time of need. We were in the process of transitioning a friendly stray cat from life on the streets to being a part of our feline pack, but he needed to be neutered first, and I wasn't sure if I would ever get him in a carrier again after his initial vet exam and before his surgery date. So he spent the days prior to his surgery at The Kitty Hotel and then recovered at The Kitty Hotel for five days afterwards. I thought, after that experience, that he might run for the hills and never be seen again, but after bringing him home, he went outside for 30 minutes and then came inside and has pretty much stayed indoors ever since. What I really appreciated was that they had availability for boarding Jeremiah on the same day I called! That's not always possible during busy times of the year, so I lucked out! And I especially like that this boarding facility is for cats only, so no barking dogs to stress cats even further. The Kitty Hotel is very well maintained and they understand the needs of cats who find boarding stressful. Every cat gets out-of-kennel time to roam and stretch their legs on a daily basis. read more

I found out about The Kitty Hotel from driving past it on Bascom Ave on my way to work. My family had an out of town trip planned earlier in March, so my wife and I called to schedule an initial visit. Marissa said we could come by, and when we did we knew instantly this was going to be a good place for our CC cat to stay for the weekend. The place was clean, organized, Marissa was extremely helpful answering our questions, and the daily price was really affordable. We emailed the required forms in advance, and dropping off CC on a Friday morning and picking him up on Monday afternoon was easy. Be careful of this place. See in the photos how there is hardly litter in the litter boxes? And there is no window in the cat room? I brought my cat here a few years ago, and she came back traumatized. The people seemed nice enough, but I don't think they really took care of her. When I went to get her, she wouldn't look me in the eye like she usually would. She was just meowing oddly like she didn't even recognize me. It may have been because I'd adopted her from a shelter only a year before and maybe she thought I wasn't going to came back? I don't know, but it took her a week to act normal again. read more

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel for kitties !!! I had to board my two furry babies for the time because of the CZU Lightning Fire I called several time and they were nice and understanding and flexible about what time we could come there. They even offered to open up if they were closed if we had to evacuate quickly! Needless to say I was stressed to the maximum. My cats are 10 and 16 years old. They are both rescues and both crazy in their own ways. Hobbs straight up refused to be in ANY kind of cage or carrier. She tried to eat the steel! So they allowed her freedom to roam. At 16 she's not taking any nonsense from anyone. They were kind gentle and loving with her. She even let them pet her! Only a handful of people in her life have ever been able to do that. Both kitties also talk a lot and Leah would actually talk to them! Kit is a huge 22lb ball log love except he HATES other cats! No easy task in a kitty Hotel. Yet they managed to make him feel comfortable too. These folks are magical. The price is very reasonable for what you get with them. The place is spotless! I picked my cat up here today after a two week stay. He has never been sick, not once. Though now it would seem that he has a respiratory infection or similar (will update after seeing the vet). Granted, this is probably a chance you take when leaving your cat with a stranger. But you would think that establishments like this would place as much emphasis on getting my bud home in good health than they do about their hours and appointments. If he's better tomorrow, I'll up this rating from a 2-star to a 4-star. Animals do get colds. If he's not, well - that's not a very nice welcome home present. read more

It's never a fun thing to board your cats, and I'm sure it's no picnic for the cats either. But Tami at the Kitty Hotel makes the process much easier and you can rest assured that they are being taken care of. The place is very clean - no odors or messes. Tami had space for our 4 cats at the last minute when we had to fumigate our house, and was able to meet us outside the normal (short) business hours. There were lots of kitties there when we dropped our cats off as it was spring break. Many were meowing but all seemed happy enough. She lets them out of their kennels at least once a day for some exercise (but not with other cats). One of ours was in the front window area checking things out when we went to pick them up. No credit cards here - cash or check, and the business hours are somewhat short, but as I mentioned, Tami had no problem being there at 4pm when we wanted to drop them off. Definitely pricier than a pet sitter, but sometimes that's the only option. If you have to board your cats rather than get a pet sitter, I highly recommend the Kitty Hotel. Four paws up! read more

My first cat was with me for a decade and she was very important to me so I toured about 4 facilities before choosing kitty hotel. She scared easily and so many vet clinics and "commingled" boarding places had obnoxious dogs barking. The kitty hotel is very clean, quiet, and is a good value for the money, so I chose it twice for 2 different cats about two years apart. The first time I boarded cat 1 at the kitty hotel, there were about half the cages full. I left her for about a week while I moved. I had moved cat 1 three times and it always caused her so much stress. When I went to pick her up, I realized I didn't bring the food she had at home as I saw the shelter food in her cage. She seemed to tolerate it fine and the food at home fine as well when she returned. She took to the new house in the best manner yet, everything was unpacked and she found her bed and new snuggle spots right away. Cat 2 is a rescue that has been abandoned before. She acted like she had no idea who I was when I came to pick her up. I assume she thought I had abandoned her due to her history but I have also read some cats literally don't recognize your smell right away. That was tough. Cat 2 is highly allergic to chicken and reacts within a day if eating chicken meal, which is in 95% of cat food. I am certain she was fed her special food as the bag had less in it and she had no kitty acne, which is how I see the reaction. I did write her name on the bag in giant letters as now the kitty hotel appears like it's really full. I will take her back in the future as I am happy with the care at kitty hotel. read more

Nice little place to board your kitty at a very reasonable price at $22 a night. Pick up and drop off must be between 8-12pm unless otherwise arranged. My kitty came back super relaxed and not stressed and it seemed like she had a good time there. Place can get busy during the summertime so if they don't respond to your email, give them a call to see if they are able to accommodate you for the requested dates. Also, you just need to bring your vaccination proof and your cat there. I was afraid to leave my cats for a week out of the country for business. They are a very rare breed (Lykois) and are also on a raw meat diet. My anxious cat even ended up enjoying his time! My little guy has stayed with Tami at the Kitty hotel 3 times now and I can't recommend it enough. The first time he stayed there he was only about 4 months old and when I got him home after it was like he never left. Previous experiences I've had with cat boarding have left my older cat very stressed and clingy after we got her back home so I was particularly nervous to leave my new kitten for a whole week with a stranger but it could not have gone any better. He comes home every time happy and healthy, and probably wondering why we don't have an awesome climbing wall at home. Tami also sends me videos of my cat having a great time during his stay which I love. We left our cat with them for 4 days and overall i think it was a good stay and I would have him stay there again, however there were a few downsides. Positive: The facility was very clean and my cat has still appeared to act normal since his stay. The price is very reasonable. My cat is playing like normal, eating like normal and is still very friendly. Negative: My cat has had diarrhea since staying there. He also acted quite crazy after coming back home but has calmed down since. We lost one towel that we brought from home and left with him. Hands-down the best experience I've ever had boarding my two cats. From the start when we were able to see Tami introduce the cats to their kennel and to the store wall-o-fun, they seemed to be in good hands. Tami was super responsive by email and even sent photos upon request--good communication meant I didn't worry about them and was able to extend my reservation when things didn't go as planned. The level of attention and care at the Kitty Hotel is excellent. We left our two kitties for six days while remodeling our house and were able to visit them every day between 9-12 pm. Anthony was so thoughtful and caring when checking the kitties in for their stay. The hotel is super clean. Litter boxes were clean each time we visited and the washing machine was busy cleaning blankets, towels, etc. When checking out, they had every comfort item I bought in ready to go. Although the hours may seem inconvenient at first, they make sense when you consider they may be trying to reduce noise and disruption for the cats in residence.
